The Return: Insurgents (IC/Open)

Postby Chedastan » Tue Dec 09, 2014 4:55 pm

OOC

The January Sun ever so slowly rises higher from the east, it's the morning of January 12th, 2028, Wednesday. Even though the Sun was still low to the sky, on account that it was winter, and seemed a bit dim, what light it did emitted still manages to brighten the entire landscape. Light shined on the Hungarian capital of Budapest, buildings gleamed and shined off light, it was a gorgeous sight. A good number of people now would be just getting up, getting dressed and eating breakfast, readying to go on their daily morning commute. For the most part, it seemed like it was going to be a typical day here, at least for the common citizen. A black van with the insignia of KPH drove through a desolate street. The KPH, or literally translated as the Government Political Authority, was conceived as essentially the secret police of the Hungarian government, seeking to make sure that no domestic threats were to arose in the country, and dealing with those that already had arisen, they had been in fact been informally called the reincarnation of the Stalin era ÁVH. Overnight there had been a large crackdown in several residences and other dwellings, it had been carried out by the KPH, under one of their many secretive purges.

The black van then entered a less visited part of the city, driving past several armed guards clad in combat uniforms and fatigues. Immediately upon entering, one could see many fenced off areas, some of them were streets, buildings, others wide opened spots, a couple of them resembled pens. Several of these places were completely empty, though of course these are only holding areas for temporary occupants that eventually get sent off to elsewhere. These temporary occupants consists of what the Hungarian considers to be undesirable and thus threats, political dissenters, unruly citizens, suspicious Nevidians, asylum seekers, spies, insurgents, partisans, etc. The black van then stopped in front of a holding area that already had several occupants in it, most likely all from the same crackdown last night. A few guards approached the black van, ready to assist in transferring people into the holding area, but were quickly waved off by the KPH agent in the passenger seat. "Relax, there's only a few in here. We had to take a detour, but hey we're here now." He said to them nonchalantly, as the back doors of the van flung opened, allowing for two guards to get out, with their arms reaching back into the van to pull out several handcuffed people with black bags over their heads from the it.

Simon felt the rush of cold air, the doors to the van had opened, his body still ache. He was then pulled out of the van, along with a few other people. He couldn't of course tell how many people he was with exactly of course, as he had a black bag over his head, and none of them were allowed to talk. In fact he couldn't tell where he was exactly either, for all he knew he could still be in Budapest, or in a labor camp, or somewhere else. And it didn't help he was still in a dazed either. All he could recollect from what had happened, was that during the night, while he was sleeping with his wife, Maria, they had been rudely awaken by the KPH breaking into their apartment, who had then preceded to accuse him of being a Slovakian Partisan, even though he hadn't set foot in Slovakia for years, and had been living in Hungary for most of his life, and was working in a office in Budapest, or even was open about his disgruntlement. But Simon could only suspect that they just looked at his last name and his half Slovakian background and said to themselves. "Well we better get this one too, he seems dangerous."

Fucking typical. Simon thought to himself, as the guards were escorting him. He then recalled the last thing he saw of his wife last night. Before they put the black bag over his head, he saw Maria frantically trying to get to him from across the room, but she was easily held back by an agent, but still her arms were wide out, desperately trying to reach for him, tears were coming down her cheeks, she was screaming his name, "SIMON! SIMON!" It was something that would be immortalized forever in Simon's mind. Then the black bag had went over his head, they hit him a few times with a baton, he was handcuffed, and he was dragged out the apartment block, and into a van. Simon hopes they didn't do anything to Maria afterwards, but regardless of that, his essential kidnapping alone must had been very traumatic for her, hell it was for him.

His then heard a caged door opened, and his escorts had him stopped, along with the other few that were in the van with him. They then took the bags off their heads. He immediately recognized from the scenery that they were still in Budapest and it was morning. "Alright, get into the fucking pen! The transport will arrive soon." A guard had ordered them, in a aggressive tone. Simon and the others then turned to go into the holding area, the caged door then closed behind them, and another guard opened another cage door in front of them, and quickly closed it behind them as they walk through that one too. Simon then looked around his vicinity, and quickly gathered that they were in a opened fenced in area off the side of a boarded up building. He had known about this place in Budapest, but of course he never thought he would get this in to it. From what more he could gather, several armed guards were standing about outside and patrolling. Escape was completely out of the question for Simon, as it would probably result in only death and not much else. He then began to shiver, he was only in his boxers after all, and it was very clear he wasn't the only one here in undergarments either, as it seems the KPH had caught everyone off guard last night while most of everyone was sleeping, and of course didn't give them time to get dressed. Simon was of course scared for himself and Maria, and parts of his body still ache and were bruised. To think that just only yesterday he was working at his office job, it had already seemed so distant from now, at least by comparison alone. "Fuck..." He muttered to himself, instantly seeing his breath in the air. He then looked at the other people he was with in here, he wonders who they were.

Mary tried to break free of her restraints, her hands were bound and her head was covered in what appeared to be a plastic bag, she didn't know what the fuck was going on. But if these asshole think they could just kidnap her without any form of resistance they were in a nice surprise.

She didn't even know what these asshole wanted from her. She had been on her way home after she had been abducted by her friends and force to spend the night out on the town with them. She didn't want to go of course, but it wasn't like she had anything else to do so she allowed herself to be dragged out the house, with a somewhat revealing dress and what she thought was glitter on. She didn't participate in their antics however, no she wouldn't screw up her organ systems by drinking alcohol or smoking whatever shit they were inhaling. She actually left 'early' because she couldn't stand them anymore. But she guessed these ass hats were just waiting for her to break free from the ten other people in the group, because the moment she exited the building, they snatch her.

God, she felt like fucking Princess Peach, right now. She kept trying to break free from her restraints, smirking as she remember why they took the extra precaution with her. She could have sworn, when she was being pulled towards the van, a hand gripping her rear, now prior to this, she was taken off guard and was too slow to react, but being groped jolted her back into reality and she slammed her elbow in the guy's stomach. With one person off her, she socked the other in the face, causing him to stumble backwards. Now any sensible person would have made a run for it, but she continued her assault on the man, slamming her foot into the perverts crotch, twice, watching as his hands moved from his stomach to his genital regions. She smirked and then started beating him with the hardest object she could find, her purse. Well her friends purse, but whatever! She was too concentrated on taking this guy down a few pegs that she didn't notice that back up had arrive until she was literally being pinned onto the ground, hand cuffs placed on her and a plastic bag over her head, she screamed profanities as she was dragged into the van.

Mary blinked twice when the plastic bag was remove from her head, a scowl on her face as she glared at all of the soldiers. She heard the man's order and simply stuck out her tongue and said "Fuck you" Said, soldier growled and made her way towards her, but he was held back by another soldier.

"What, did I upset you? what are you going to do about it bitch." She snared, a smirk on her face as she swayed her hips and entered the cell, without waiting for a response. The first thing she did, when she had entered the cell, was distance herself from the rest, finding a nice wall to lean against as she examined her cellmates. She knew she should have brought her pocket knife.

Situated comfortably in a local cafe, Ja'Ran (Jaren) sipped a hot cup of coffee that was too strong and far too sweet for his liking. He looked out the window as the morning rays of the sun pierced the skies but not enough to affect his vision like it did so many of his kind. For now the rays were gentle, almost calming in its light and as he looked out the window filled with Budapest's residents walking to and fro to their morning routines; it was almost serene. Last night's activities had been less the fortuitous for him and the cell he belonged to. Sweeps were becoming more thorough, or the insurgents were getting too disorganized and sloppy. Already three more Resistance members were found and in a haste to escape the military and local police, their cell had left equipment that would certainly hurt them in the near future.

They would need to be even more careful now, if that were possible. His cell was learning the hard way that trusting other Resistance members was becoming a liability. Leadership roles were often bickered on, egos and arrogance was high and nearly everyone had an axe to grind or something to prove to another that made cooperation difficult on even the simplest of task. Last night operation was supposed to be an easy task: generate a set of fake IDs and debit cards pulled from information from one of Jaren's own cellmate had managed to hack into and use it swindle them -and the banks- out of their accounts. It would have been completed this morning with banks across Budapest finding large accounts bereft of funds, taken out or switched over to other institutions with a laundry list of incriminating activity tagged with it.

It could have worked; nay, it should have worked. It all fell apart within ten minutes with said inflated egos. Not long after, panic had swept through the two cell groups as the military had swooped in with their usual combing of the area. The Op was compromised before it could even start.

Jaren was convinced someone had betrayed them and he was already doing a mental list of his own cell members to see who was the likely culprit. So far he had nothing and the man had to admit that it was due to a bias he had for his own cell. He knew them for a year; and in that year they had become like a second family to him. Betrayal seemed unlikely no matter how many twisted thoughts he could conjure up. Naturally, Jaren's suspicion laid with the group they met last night and he hardly knew any of them to make an educated guess.

The T.V. on the far end broke Jaren out of his reverie:

Tensions were high today as local authorities sent yet another round of sweeps through the Nevidian shanties after authorities claimed to have leads on suspected NRM activity in the area. No conclusive of NRM activity could be substantiated but evidence but authorities did confiscate contraband ranging from small personal arms to equipment used to forge fake IDs. Six Nevidians were also arrested this morning after being questioned and a brief struggle.

He sighed, sipping on the the too-strong-too-sweet hot coffee. The six he saw were the six from last night. How they were found was anyone guess but it presented a danger onto itself. If coerced, or worse, tortured, they would likely spill information on who else was involved.

These criminals will be detained for questioning. Under no circumstances will we tolerated use of illegal equipment such as this and if the so called "NRM" is involved, rest assured, we will know who else was involved and we will find them!

"Naturally," he murmured with disdain. Jaren figured he'd have about thirty-six hours before one of detainee cracked. Budapest was a large city but its all pervasive police force made it difficult to go unseen. He had kept his hair in medium length; his jacket was rumpled at the best of times; he'd have to change his look slightly if he was going to walk the streets unhindered.

In other news today...

Finishing the god awful coffee, Jaren placed a few bills on the table and left, stepping out into the streets and breathed the fresh air; it was likely going to be the last time if things didn't go according to plan today.

It had been a year now in Hungary for Johanna. She has occasionally wondered how much longer will she last going unseen. Although swaying these thoughts as harmful to the stability and assurance of her mind, Johanna well understood that the current situation she is in is far too vanilla. She has theorised that, given her current position of friendliness with more than a handful of important politicians and businessmen, someone from the government may just be already spying on her. For now, at least, merely checking her life and whether she is or could be a threat. Johanna in return has made absolutely no reason for a possible spy to believe this. Her daily routine has been mapped out so as to appear a normal citizen while also diversified so as to appear even more regular by not making the routine a severely over-organised, too perfect one.

Whether Johanna would live to see the results of her work was another question. A likely answer would be that she won't, possibly committing suicide so as to not reveal her ties with the EU, or perhaps being executed by the Hungarian government. Yet even given these rather tragic facts, Johanna shan't end her work. The visions of a horrible Third World War could only haunt her. As did Einstein's words that should the Third World War occur, the fourth one will fought with sticks and stones. In that scenario, Johanna wouldn't be the only one to die. Given France's, a nuclear weapon state, fascist government, it would be impossible to win a war with the country by invading it. Should the EU attempt this, it will be eradicated from the face of the earth. The UK, rather England, has a better chance of attempting an attack, due to France's possible fears that it would be annihilated as well. Although chances are the EU won't be nuked. Other nations likely won't respond with much endorsement. But England has no capability to attack either, given its ruinous state, particularly the walled off country of 12 million- London. In fact just thinking about a nuclear war is bullshit, no country would be insane enough to attempt it no matter the government. Johanna quickly forgot the silly idea.

Continuing her walk in the one of Budapest's largest parks, Johanna couldn't do much more but continue to dwell with her thoughts, primarily planning while also somewhat irrelevant thoughts, the latter of which she could only afford at these walks. Unfortunately, the walk has to end. Johanna immediately changes her path to the nearest cheap restaurant. Tomorrow she'd have to do a very risky action.

She looked through the telescopic scope of her AK-63, scanning the road for any threat, but she didn't see anything there or coming up, for now. They were positioned at one of the tree lines by the road, staying in cover until the coast was clear, which it seems to be looking up to be. This group of course was the Neviduslifer. The insurgent group was made exclusively of Nevidians, unsurprising given that their ideology is Nevidian supremacy, and thus they have a aversion towards cooperating, collaborating, or even associating with humans if it could be helped, no matter who they are. Obviously that rule in it of itself had caused a lot of drawbacks to Neviduslifer, but it also doesn't help that the group had on several occasions partaken in committing unwarranted acts of violence on human civilians, it's at a result of this that the group had been referred to as being nothing more than a mere terrorist and hate group by even other insurgencies. And that had certainly damaged recruitment for the group.

Lelvia lowered her rifle, she then looked over her shoulder to look at their cell's leader, Ser'Ris. "I see nothing." She said in a whisper in her Del'sith dialect to him. Earlier in the morning they had been busy evading the Hungarian government after their plan had failed last night back in Budapest. The plan was very simple, set up explosives at a substation or two inside the city, then set them off and leave. The idea was simply to disrupt daily life to a lot of people in the city, even if it was temporarily, but more importantly to take away their peace of mind, and to remind them that resistance is very well here in Hungary. Lelvia herself was of course amazed that the plan went as bad as it did. First the explosives couldn't be set up due to sweeps occurring near to where they were, and then they had spotted members of the NRM, which unsurprisingly led to further complications, and then before they knew it, several of their own members had been captured, and they are now outside Budapest after only just had evaded the Hungarian government. "Good, then we should wait here to see if our captured men will be transported on this road, and we'll rescue them if we can." Ser'Ris said to them all in his Del'sith dialect(Given that they were all from Del'sith, it would only make sense that they would just speak their own dialect to each other). Ser'Ris knew about this road being used for transporting dissidents and insurgents to elsewhere, given that he had ambushed transports on these sorts of routes.

Lelvia simply nodded in confirmation to the plan, though she was getting annoyed at Ser'Ris's leadership in the cell, as it seems the cell always ends up losing someone because of his plans. And Lelvia can't help but wonder the actual effectiveness in some of them. In fact she wonders from time to time if she should still be in Neviduslifer, given their problematic ideology that she doesn't necessarily believe wholly, it was clear to her at least that she had joined for the wrong reasons. But then she is reminded on what had happened on that day and afterwards, and what she had done, that she realizes she is stuck with them. What's left of the cell then silently waits for anything to come up the desolate road.

On a lot of the streets in Budapest, they were surveillance cameras on seemingly every street corner, scanning for threats to the Hungarian government. A camera turned to look in Jaren's direction, then slowly turned in to a different direction. One has no way of knowing if the camera had spotted them suspicious or not, though seeing several policemen or KPH agents running towards you soon afterwards is probably a good indicator. Instead several men wearing pro-government armbands ran past Jaren. "GET THE FUCKING FREAK!" One of them shouted as they ran. These seemed to be militia men of sorts, and it looks like they're gathering in the middle of the sidewalk. If one were to look a little further they would see that they were circling around a bloodied Nevidian man who had already had his cloths torn off, and a few of the militia men were punching and kicking at him. "PLEASE STOP!" He begged them, though it seemed to only aggravate the militia men more. Not one of the bystanders outside of the militia mob circle seemed to want to put an end to the vicious hate crime that was happening in front of them, either because they couldn't, or simply because they don't care. The Nevidian man is as good as dead if the barbaric beating isn't put to an end.

"So... Cold..." Simon muttered to himself again, shivering a bit. It didn't help he was still restrained and he couldn't even wrap his arms around his body, and that he was still only in his boxers. Surely they wouldn't let me die out here before they get me to the transport, right? Simon thought to himself, already worrying about the possibly of hypothermia. Really only a few minutes had passed since he got here, though it already felt like awhile to him. He looked around again, and had noticed that a woman had distanced herself from the rest of them. What's her deal? Simon then approached her, curious and wanting to pass the time by maybe talking to someone. "So what's your deal, I guess?" He asked her.

Mary gave the newcomer a withering glance, as he approached her. She wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone right now, who would? She was fucking kidnapped not too long ago, after all. She raised her brow at him after he asked what was her deal and she fought the urge to strangle the guy.

"Well I was kidnapped, handcuffed and stuffed into the back of a hot, stuffy van with several other people." She simply said to him, averting her gaze. "SO i'm sorry if I'm not in the mood to be huddled around the rest of you"

Shit. I don't have time for this...

Jaren stood conflicted, like so many around him that did the same. Did they intervene at the excessive force they were inflicting upon the poor man or did they avoid and stay put (as the government had clearly warned them to do so). The Nevidian was defenseless and as they hauled him to an alleyway, the crowd seemed mollified by it, content in knowing they didn't have to actively see such violence in the streets when they could just idly pass by, pretending to never seeing it. It made Jaren sick as they hauled him to a rather large alleyway, the rebel followed at a good pace away. Apparently they were content to just dragging the Nevidian, the man's feet dragged against the rough surface and he was thrown against the wall, crumpling onto the ground as his abusers prepared to unleash their hatred upon the defenseless man.

One of them took out a baton and raised it high, his comrades gloating and urging him to follow through his assault. Jaren stepped in. The Nevidian wasn't the most experienced fighter, but he had learned a few tricks from human friendlies that had so far gotten him out of fights relatively unscathed. Grabbing the weapon, Jaren twisted it violently on its opposing side, snapping the man's wrists and using the surprise to jam the butt of the baton into the man's throat, ripping it for the man's grasp a moment later. He swung it a wide arc, catching another assailant at the arm just before being kicked at the back of the knee, causing Jaren to collapse. He struggled to gain his footing and was caught with a kick to the ribs, the air knocked out of him. His grip on the baton was flimsy at best, but Jaren regained some of his control and swung the weapon at his attacker, taking the man right at the side of his kneecaps. The guy collapsed, howling in agony while his other two comrades struggled to their feet. The least injured of them all was reaching for something and Jaren quickly got to his feet, rushing the man and slamming him against the wall, knocking the walkie-talkie from his grasp.

"Get of here!" Jaren shouted at the Nevidian who laid crumpled and whimpering in fear.

Opening his now swollen and bloodied eyes, the Nevidian man quickly noticed he didn't received another blow to his head as he had expected, instead he saw that a man had stepped in to help him from his vicious attackers and was trying to fight them off. He was surprised, but thankful that anyone would step in at all. Though he could only assume the act was meant to just give him time to escape, as it seemed his attackers were going to quickly overwhelm his savior. "Get out of here!" His savior had shouted to him, thus helping to prove his assumptions that he was meant to leave right away. Seeing that there was an opening at the other end of the alleyway to get onto the next street, he fought his fears and injuries, and quickly limped his way there. Upon getting there, he quickly made his way across the street, he knew he needed a place to hide for awhile. He wished he could have thanked that man for rescuing him, and for bringing some faith back that the world still has some good left in this world. A fresh tear had ran down his still bloodied cheek.

Unfortunately Jaren's act of heroism had led him to a problematic situation. As one of the militia men from behind him had gotten his taser out, and preceded to shock Jaren with tens of thousands of volts. Then two more militia men appeared from outside the alleyway and charged at Jaren and quickly tackled him to the ground and handcuffed him. Then the other militia men regained their stance and then preceded to all stamp on Jaren with their boots, until they had essentially had beaten the shit out of him. After they had excessively subdued him and quickly gathered that he was a Nevidian, they put a black bag over his head, and radioed in to report to the KPH of their incident. "Yeah 3-4, we got a pale fucker here that was trying to play hero for another pale fucker. The other fucker had slipped by though, but it couldn't had gone too far... Yeah, uh huh... Got it." The militia man then turned to the rest of his men. "They're sending a van over to pick up this fucker." He said to them. In which in no time a KPH van had stopped by the alleyway's entrance, and had it's doors flung open, letting out a few agents. As they dragged Jaren into the van, one of the agents had congratulated the militia men for their valiant efforts and said they'll be rewarded. The van doors then close, and it preceded to drive off to the holding areas.

I should had expected that. Simon thought to himself after realizing how stupid it was to ask such a question in a place like this. He could only suspect the cold might had been already been getting to him, that or the fact that he hadn't eaten breakfast at all and was starting to get hungry. "Sorry, I'll leave you be." He simply said to the woman, and promptly walked away. He then saw that a few people were quietly huddling close together for warmth, these were mostly the people like Simon that didn't have much in the way of warm clothing. Seeing no other options in gaining warmth from what he could tell, and not wanting to potentially freeze to death, he decided he needed to join one of these groups. Of course he felt a bit awkward about it naturally, but for him being his more practical self, this only made sense to do.

Simon then approach one of the groups that was closest to him. He didn't noticed right away that the group he was heading towards were exclusively Nevidians. Upon getting close and ready to ask if he could join, a Nevidian woman in the group then turned to look at him and preceded to glare at him. "Fuck off ape, Nevidians only!" She said to him in an hostile tone. Simon then took a step back. He saw that the other Nevidians in the group had then turned their heads to look at him with similar expressions. Quickly realizing he was unwelcomed by that group, he walked over to the next group, which was mostly filled with Nevidians, but with a few humans included. In fact he quickly noticed that someone from this group was calling him over. "Hey buddy! Get over here!" A Nevidian man had called him.

Seeing as how this group was seemingly more welcoming, Simon was even more inclined to go over. Then the woman that had glared at him from the previous group then called over the Nevidian man that was calling over Simon. "Oh typical NRM recruitment I see? Just let any damn ape join in, sure, that's a great idea!" She said with clear sarcasm. "Oh shut up! At least we aren't fucking hypocrites, huh! Neviduslifer!" He responded back to her with sass. To which she then look at him with disgust. Simon actually chuckled a bit from the exchange. He approached the group and they opened up a bit to let him in. Simon certainly did feel much warmer. The Nevidian who had called him over then looked at him and said. "Yeah those guys over there aren't exactly friendly to humans, but welcome friend, we're-" He stopped, upon noticing that another black van was coming up to presumably drop off more people.

This day lately, he's never been sadder than before.

Andras Oslo. He's in his apartment, right now. Separated from his family and keeping a gun in his chair as he sat and watched the news. Lately Nevidians always tried to looked hurtful and pretended that they are hurt and needs help. But they're not. They're just some lazy bastards who sucks on the Human's welfare society and needs to be cleansed. Or rather buried alive. He can't do that, sure by now. His high school had been closed for a week now with an incident regarding those lazy bastards and their own kin, the Hungarians. Now he knows for sure that he can do anything to them, especially with the support of the group he is now.

Not good, not good.

There was no way to warn his cell mates, no way to alert them of his disappearance. Of course, by him being absent alone would be enough to raise alarms and trigger them into action. He was their de facto lieutenant or second-in-command of the cell. While he was still learning the ropes of leadership, he was also the only one with enough experience to be in that position. The other three in their cell relied heavily on his words whenever the cell leader wasn't available; Jaren being apprehended was sure to propel them into action and hopefully not a foolish one at that.

The bag over him stank of sweat and dust. He could hear his captives speaking as though they had done a good day's job. Some part of him sort of agreed, in hindsight, he shouldn't have gotten involved. There was a larger goal to work for and Jaren inwardly cursed that he let his emotions get in the way of the objective. Incidents like these were common and frequent; no matter how much it made him angry, he should have known better than to get involved.

"Dammit," he muttered under his breath.

"Shut that mouth of yours or we'll break your ribs for good measure," came the threat immediately after.

Jaren stifled a lewd response that involved the man's genitals. Within moment after the threat came the sound of a rumbling engine and the shriek of brakes followed by a loaded huff, as though the vehicle was exerting energy just to stop. He felt hands upon his sore, battered, body and was thrown into the truck where two more sets of hands hauled him up and forcibly sat him down.

"Picked the wrong day to get caught ghost. But from what I hear you're not exactly that are you? Trying to be like one of us? Can't blame you for the effort. Then you get into business not your own, stupid move, ghost, stupid move."

Jaren couldn't agree more.

Dragging them, dragging them
Dragging them to the death
Dragging them, dragging them
Dragging them to the death

Humming a known song, Go to Sleep, while in the unknown place, which is the place where the pro-Militarists stayed, or at least one of those places. There, there are those...those filthy scums, the loitering seekers of asylum, the non-Hungarians. They all screamed, begging for live, for the life of themselves. Bastards.

"Here, here! These asylum seekers! They are like them, the Nevidians! They took our food, our water, our money, our education, everything! Now, this is the time for them to pay! They think they can go everywhere they like here, but no more, for they will die! TONIGHT!"

Roared, all of the men and women of the followers went crazy and butchered those who feast on their wealth. Andras Oslo is one of them.

Johanna was at home, reading through various files on her computer, from known Hungarian military installations, to proposed ones, to government officials' profiles and possible allies in Budapest. The economy of Hungary has been booming for about three years now, it's growth being abnormally high and quite dangerous. Following the breakup of the EU and the toppling of Hungary's former democratic government(which happened without too much bloodshed), Hungary had more than doubled its territory and population. The oppressive dictatorship was getting more hostile by the hour and planning on annexation of more territories, having been based on a mix of nationalist and communist ideals, now being able to be effectively compared to Nazi Germany, but more capitalist and with less nations disapproving of its actions.

Johanna carefully analysed the information, while getting newer info as she went. It appeared there was yet another massacre of Nevidians and non-Hungarian nationals by a Pro Militarist group. She had found some possible people to work with, one of whom was apparently in jail. She will have to search more, eventually hacking into private emails and sites using her partners back in Germany. Her apartment was well technologically masked and Johanna managed to handle everything with care, so chances she would get caught were almost zero.

The sun had risen just enough for its light to pierced through the tree lines, making it very bright in spots. Naturally this causes Lelvia and her cell mates to put on their more sunlight protective eye wear. Lelvia had put on the aviators that she had found in a broken into shop a little more than a year ago, it was during one of the only attempted Nevidian Rights protests actually, unsurprisingly it ended horribly for the protesters. One of her cell mates had pulled out their radio to listen in on the news as they waited. Though it seemed to be only of international news stories instead of more local ones broadcasting at the moment.

Details on the recent quarantine on Glasgow still haven't been released yet by GEE. But travel in or out of the city is still effectively banned and enforced, and civilians inside are advised by GEE to remain calm at this time and get checked for the "Nevidian Flu." Though many are skeptical about current events going on in Glasgow, and some are even doubting GEE's sincerity on the "Nevidian Flu," and outright stating it to be a fabrication and hoax created by them. Whether these theories are actually true or not, we don't know at this time. Now on to sports...

They had been hearing a lot about GEE recently, especially with what's been going on in Glasgow. Of course they couldn't really think or care about them much at the moment, given they had their own very important problems to attend to, and the fact they're not in Hungary. In fact it seemed that with their insurgency, a lot of things going on in the world had became completely irrelevant to them, and thus making their world seem rather small in a way. Lelvia opened her backpack up to get the book she was leisurely reading out, she had found this in an abandoned cabin with a dead hermit inside not too long ago. She quite enjoyed the book, and could see why a person living in the middle of the woods to possibly try and avoid the Hungarian government would have it. One of her newer cell mates who didn't quite understood human writing in general looked at her book with confusion and disgust, her cell mates in general tended to have a aversion towards human literature too, given Neviduslifer's taboo towards anything human related, with the exception being weapons and vehicles and some devices.

"I don't get it, why are you reading that shit? And I don't think that even has a proper title on the cover even, I mean I think those are numbers and not even letters!" The newer cell mate had finally spoken up to Lelvia, clearly showing his confusion and disgust. Lelvia lowered her book, and looked at him with an eyebrow raised. "Okay think of it like this, we could learn about our oppressors with this sort of literature, and thus come to understanding them better so that we could come to destroying them. And from what's in this book, there's actually some pretty relevant stuff in it, well relevant to our situation in Hungary at least." Lelvia said to him, hoping he understood, but doubted that he actually did. As then proven by his still disgust and confused look, which he then looked away in a huff to do other things. "Ser'Ris probably isn't gonna like that too much." He then warned her. Though Lelvia had already returned to reading her book to even care about the warning.

A unmarked white car with dark tinted windows was parked across the street from Johanna's home, it had parked there much earlier in the morning and had since been seemingly inactive, one could only assume the owner must had left it there to only come back later in the day. Johanna would then hear that her home phone was ringing, but it then quickly went straight into voice mail. "Hello, this is the phone company calling to remind you that your bill is overdue and will need to be payed. Services will end at noon, January 12th, if not payed in time. You can pay for your bill at one of our offices, or online at our website." The computerized voice said over the home phone.

After a few minutes, the van then stopped. "Looks like this is where you get off now, ghost." The driver said to Jaren, chuckling a bit after saying it. The doors to the van then flung opened, and Jaren found himself being dragged out of the van and feeling a rush of cold air. He was then suddenly kicked to the ground, and his cloths were then violently torn from him by the guards, most likely for extra measure and humiliation by them. "I hope you fucking freeze in there, ghosty lil' bitch!" One of them yelled at him aggressively, and preceded to kick him once again. The guards then made him stand up, and more then dragged him than escorted him to one of the holding areas. After a couple steps and a gate opening and closing, they took the bag off his head, and basically threw him into the holding area, and closed the gate behind him. "The transport will arrive soon, so that it can take away all you miserable bastards and whores!" The same guard that called Jaren a "lil' bitch" told them all. In the holding area, Jaren will find that several groups were huddling together for warmth, including several of his own fellow members of the NRM, and a few members of Neviduslifer as well, both of which had of course formed their own huddling groups. Then there were the few people by themselves scattered about in the holding area.

More and more Asylum seekers are being imprisoned in a warehouse, not given any food but given a minimal amounts of water. There are many volunteers happened to watched them carefully. It appears that these volunteers are armed with military-grade weapons, or just civilian-made weapons, which are AKs made with cheap and/or recycled materials. Where they got the materials are questions, as well. It seems, that these movement is being supported and provided with materials and weapons from strong and rich organization, suspected of being in the military.

These men and women are currently watching the streets and surroundings, as reports had been mentioned within the movement's network of information that there are few agents from outside European countries that watching the warehouse, and possibly of planning a break-out from the warehouse. Andras Oslo, is one of the captains ordered to led the men and women. He's currently in his office inside the warehouse, torturing a Nevidian man. Screams could be heard from inside into the ears of the asylum seekers and few Nevidians holed inside the warehouse.

...and the itsy bitsy spider, went up the spout again... Nul wasn't particularly fond of the rhymes and songs the surface-worlders had. They held no real meaning in her eyes. Children sang happy sounding songs senselessly while they ran around in the streets, completely unaware that if they were to turn a few more corners, they would find somebody getting hurt or killed, or somebody else who was on the verge of breaking completely. That particular rhyme annoyed her the most, however, because Nul often found herself clambering around in the stinking, filthy tunnels they called sewers. Sometimes it was the only safe place to be, but never was it as pleasant as that song sounded.

Then there were the brats like herself, lost and alone along with all the other refugees and castoffs of society. Whenever they got together to "play", it inevitably turned into a mess, and inevitably attracted the attention of people with big guns, full stomachs, and empty heads. The only song Nul ever heard them sing was one of pain as they died. Somehow... their screams sound reassuring.

Nul was musing over pointless thoughts as a fat man with a shotgun handed her a wad of money. It wasn't nearly enough, but Nul wasn't about to complain.

The fat man spit at the ground as a pair of less rotund fellows dragged a group of pale-skinned, emaciated kids out of a hole in the ruins of some old apartment building. "Disgusting, aren't they?" He laughed, and jiggled as he did so. When Nul looked at him, all she saw was a giant slug on stubby legs. She shrugged in answer, but beneath her balaclava was a mouth tightening into a scowl.

One of the kids saw Nul, and stopped screaming incoherently. The raw shrieks turned to cries of "Traitor!" and other, more profane things. The fat man laughed some more, and one of the goons punched the kid in the face hard enough to send teeth flying. The shock of the blow silenced him, and suddenly the evening was a lot quieter.

"Well, what have you got to say for yourself, 'traitor'?" the fat man was nearly giggling. Nul did not want to imagine what exactly his plans were for them. She just wanted to make sure that she didn't end up on that end of those plans.

Nul shrugged again, then answered in a soft voice that still sounded like the sickly child she used to be. "I told them they can't trust anybody. Especially in a city like this."

"Ha! True enough, I suppose. Don't worry, though. My friends will take good care of 'em. Give 'em a meal every day, a place to sleep, and... people to sleep with. Heh." Nul chose that moment to run, breaking into a sprint and diving around the street corner. Sure enough, there was a yell from the goons and the sound of heavy footsteps running after her. Nul led them through a handful of alleys, then suddenly dropped into a hole with a splash. The sewer grate was held up by a piece of scrap pipe, with a bit of rope tied to it. Nul jumped back to her feet, ignoring the bruises from the fall, and pulled on the rope as hard as she could. An instant later the cover slammed down, sealing her in. The pipe was stuck under the edge, though, so all her pursuers had to do was pry it back open. That was no easy task, but hard labor was something goons were good at, so Nul started running again.

The expression on the face of the kid who had recognized her was stuck in Nul's mind as she ran. Nul had met the punk while stealing from a convenience store, and had ended up joining the gang. "You're one of us," he'd said with a smile, pointing to the pale skin of her hands. Nul had pulled the long sleeves of her hoodie to cover them up, and told him he needed to stop trusting strangers. Nul had said it again, when more brats had joined up, but he'd just smiled. He should know better now, at least.

Nul shook the image out of her head and slowed down to catch her breath. Noone had followed her into the sewers, apparently, but there were others who lived here, and they didn't appreciate getting run over or splashed on. Nul reached into a pocket and fingered the money, counting out the paper bills. It was enough to eat for a few more weeks, but that was it. After this... there's that neighborhood, where the slug lives. I'll poke around there. After another hour or so, Nul grew tired of trekking through sludge and found an alcove that was really just a smaller pipe, for when the main ones flooded. It was dryer, and already sporting the heat of several sleeping bodies. Wordlessly, Nul climbed in and squished herself into the pile, making sure one hand was on her money and the other hand was on her knife. She fell asleep quickly, into a pleasant, dreamless sleep.

The idea of squatters living in any of Hungary's sewers, has always been seen as yet another annoyance the Hungarian government has to deal with. Usually the squatters that live and sleep in the sewers were seen generally as nothing more than mere pests, and clearly not anywhere near to actual people. As such, "clean up" jobs are preformed almost nearly everyday in the cities and major towns, to literally get rid of them through any means felt necessary, usually cruel and inhuman ones. In this particular instance, the section of the sewer system where Nul was sleeping in, was scheduled for an random purge this morning.

On the surface, several soldiers and maintenance workers with trucks with large gas tanks on them, were filling the section of the sewers with an odorless, and flammable gas. Of course this gas was developed with it being fail proofed in mind, as the gas doesn't light up to any ordinary flame, one would need a specific sort of lighter to cause to gas to light up. And the use of the gas itself was originally thought up as to also clean the sewers of the usual filth, and allow for better conditions for maintenance, alongside sadistically burning alive any undesirable who had dared to simply be in it, which would essentially kill two birds with one stone.

Once they were done with filling the section up with what gas they have, they would soon sealed the manholes up with their covers. But not before dropping an remote lighter down into the sewers. And of course they would had shot anyone that tried to leave it. "Come on, let's fry these ghost fuckers now!" The soldier with the detonator said to his men, right before he pressed the button to the lighter. Instantly causing an almost purple spark to light at the bottom of the sewers where the remote lighter was dropped. Immediately causing a massive scorching hot fireball to be created. Which soon expanded and made it's way though the section of the city's sewer system, going through tunnel to tunnel, making quickly advancing walls of fire. The first victim was an unfortunate Nevidian youth, who was instantly charred to death before she even knew it. As more and more were burned alive as the fire advanced, it soon reached the area where Nul had been sleeping in the pile. Though soon before that, a man from the tunnel ahead had let off a scream. "Run for it! FIRE! FIRE!" Before he was consumed by the wall of fire himself and died.

A few people had heard it, and then tried desperately to leave the sewers to save themselves, but found that their closest exit had been sealed shut and couldn't be budged. Of course one has said there is a way to survive any deadly situation, you just have to find it quick, and do what is necessary to survive. Nul has a few seconds before the flames reaches her and the pile.

Naturally tensions will be high in the warehouse, between the asylum seekers and militiamen. Given the "living" conditions the asylum seekers were provided. Obviously a lot of them weren't contempt to continue to live like this. As for most of them, they've been running for their lives and safety, and been trying to escape for better conditions for too long. The screams from the torture Nevidian man only unnerved them more. "STOP! STOP! PLEASE!" The Nevidian man screamed some more. It may as well had been reaching a turning point for most of the asylum seekers, that were ready for an outright riot. One very muscular and bearded man in particular was really getting fed up with it all. One could only assuming he was a heavy weightlifter before all this, and probably lost everything to his name.

Then finally, he had reached the point of complete rage. He stood up, and quickly charged a guarding militiaman. The militiaman had no time to react, before he was hurled and thrown through one of the cheap walls of the warehouse's office. Completely bursting through it and getting his back and several other bones broken in the process, he soon lost conscious. The muscular man then gave out a roar of defiance in his native tongue, his actions then quickly inspired almost every asylum seeker to incite a full on riot in the warehouse. This will not go over well for Andras, when the government hears the report.

Whether it was the roaring sound of flames churning through the sewers or the screams of those victims who didn't make it that woke her, Nul would never know. Nor did she care. In fact, she wasn't even awake enough to properly think about any of this. Her body was screaming at her that Death approached, and she found herself scrambling over another hobo to roll out of the tunnel she was in, back into the larger one.

There were two sorts of people in situations like this. Those who try to flee by going up... and those who go down. Nevidian by birth and instinct, Nul trusted only the darkest, deepest places, and dove into the muck with hardly time to draw and hold her breath, going as low as she possibly could. She scrambled for grip at the bottom to hold herself in place.

Nul felt another person jump in behind her, bumping into her and nearly causing her to lose her grip. Furious, she kicked out, pushing herself down even more.

Not quite noticing the amount of time between her last payment and now go by so quickly, Johanna at first was caught by surprise by the telephone company's warning. She didn't think she made so many calls as well, but figured that the chances of the company lying are almost nonexistent. In fact she thought it was rather funny how she even considered the company to be untruthful, even though a mistake could hypothetically have been made by its employees.

In any case, Johanna had to pay. Her preferred payment method would obviously be via the Internet, especially given that it was the most effective way at this time and place, given the work she still had to carry out at home. It would be a clear waste of time to go out.

Awakening her computer from hibernation, Johanna would promptly complete the payment while sipping her green tea with milk. She continued her financial work afterwards.

Upon entering the phone company's website, one could notice that the website itself seemed a bit off. Most notably the url for it seem to be just random bits of letters and numbers, and no actual site name, though one could plausibly dismissed it as just being lazy coding from a recent site update. And also the website seemed to be refreshing itself constantly, making using it to be rather annoying and a bit sluggish. But the most alarming thing about the website, is that it immediately tries to force install what would appear to be malicious software that included spyware and encrypts, onto Johanna's computer.

Inside the unmarked white car with dark tinted windows, that was across the street from Johanna's home. A man had been at work at his laptop. He had spent weeks on this single case, and he was now diligently monitoring the screen of his laptop, just waiting for all the data and information to hopefully show up on it. As once he sees what he had been looking for, he can finally call in for the vans.

Luckily for Nul, it would seem that her quick action by diving into the mucky sewage, had kept alive momentarily. As the flames had reached where she was, and burned alive everyone else who didn't do the same thing she did, the sewage would appeared to have preserved her and whoever else from the flames. Of course there were the unlucky people who didn't fully submerge themselves into the sewage, and were now screaming in agony as exposed sections of their bodies had been burnt, and were also now open to infection. And it didn't help there is now an almost unbearable stench than there were before, it was very nauseating alone, to not even mention the gruesome state of the corpses. It would sane for anyone to leave now, before the mop up teams inevitably arrive.

Johanna takes note of the oddities of the company's website, but doesn't give it much attention until the site starts its attempts to install seemingly hostile programs and software. This alarms Johanna further as soon as her antivirus warns her of the site's harmful attempts. Figuring the telephone company that called her was likely merely a scam to lure her into a cyber attack. Ordering her antivirus to start cleaning the computer and of course immediately leaving the site, Johanna felt somewhat agitated. Despite the computer not even remotely storing or having access to any sensitive information Johanna, given her true intent and profession, might have, the possibility of a loss of all her financial and otherwise work wouldn't be very pleasant at all.

Nul struggles to hold her breath as long as she can, but eventually can hold it no longer. Rather than drown herself in filth, she rears up, wipes as much of the muck off her face as she can, and breathes in. The stench of burning flesh and waste makes her instantly regret doing so, and the lack of oxygen doesn't help much either. With tears streaming down her face as she coughs away, Nul stands up and drags herself away. From the area as quickly as she can.

Something that used to be a someone grabs at Nul's leg and she starts moving away, and she kicks it. Whatever sort of person it had been only moments ago, it was now a smoldering mess of flesh, with some visible bones. The thought of filth seeping into those open wounds sickened Nul, and for the first time in her life she killed out of pity, taking her foot and crushing what was left of its throat until it ceased struggling. Couldn't even scream anymore. Pitiful.

Nul flees as far as she can, until she is exhausted. Then, she stands under a pipe venting relatively clean water, stripping so as to scrub herself down with her fingernails. My hair is getting long again. Mother used to cut it pretty... Lacking the skill and appropriate tools, Nul took a handful of hair in one hand and sawed it off with a long knife, then repeated the action until it was all a short, boyish, unkempt mop. Next came her clothes, holding them up piece by piece until they were wearable again. I need to dry off before I get sick. Need some fresh air, too. Nul's quick cleanup at an end, she rubbed out as much of the water as she could and clambered up a manhole.

Nul didn't recognize the street she popped up into, There were hedgerows and houses all around, though, one of those middle class neighborhoods Nul typically avoided. As quickly and quietly as she could, Nul slid the manhole cover back into place and crawled under one of the hedge bushes, then began inspecting the houses, looking for one without any lights on or vehicles parked nearby. The sort of house she could sneak into and dry out in.

Jaren got up, dusting off his jacket that his captives had let him keep (whether they cared or not about personal affects no one asked, neither would Jaren). He looked about instinctively recognizing members of the Resistance, two were part of his team huddle with another three he wasn't familiar with but their scowls told him everything. He decided against joining, partly due to his own rules about familiarity with other resistance cell members and partly because it was foolish to keep huddled with a bunch of the same coat. Paint a target and shoot me, he groused mentally at the site.

There were the Neviduslifers, a group he didn't particularly care for. Everyone had their own agenda, Jaren was no different in the manner that he ran his own group. The two familiars peeled away after polite mumbles and friendly nods to join him.

"They're part of us," one of them said with that were so bright, they would've shined in the dark.

"I gathered that," Jaren said curtly, albeit a little annoyed. "What have I been saying about talking with other resistance members?"

"Oh, come off it, Jaren," the other spoke up with irritation. "There's no possible place for us to go now."

"No where but into an interrogation room because you two decided to get chummy with them. And now you're around me. Did you not notice that," he said tightly, jabbing a finger in the air, pointing toward a camera that moved in a slow turn as it viewed everyone in the room.

The two paled as reality hit them and Jaren had to muster the fortitude not to spit at their feet for the oversight.

"Doesn't matter, as you say, we're all on the same boat but if they want to interrogate us, expect a very slow death."

"I don't want that," Green eyes mumbled desperately in a near panic at the thought. No one knew if torture was a norm, but with the government hunting every Nevidian down for the sake of "public safety", torture was definitely on the list of crimes they were committing with impunity.

"None of us do. How many did you count in here?"

"I... I didn't."

Narrowing his eyes, "How many do you think have been here longer than a week."

The two of them shrugged.

"Shouldn't have saved that man after all," Jaren mumbled with a bitter sigh and left his two comrades standing to roam the room for someone to question about their mutual captivity.

Corrupt Dictatorship

Given that it was still morning, and it was at this point in the day that a lot of people had either just left their homes to go to school or work, or were on their way to. In fact most burglaries of homes tended to occur at around this time of the day, with the same reason that most people were usually out at this time. Though the crime rate of this neighborhood in particular was low, and it would be unlikely that many of the residences would have bothered to have install in-home security systems. Which would prove to make Nul's search all the more easier.

As one could suspect then, the neighborhood was indeed currently devoid of most of it's residents, thus Nul was most likely not seen by anyone, for now. But anything could had seen or gotten a glimpse of her, as one shouldn't rule out the possibility that the Hungarian government would've installed hidden cameras in a few spots in the neighborhood. Luckily for Nul on the other hand, it would seem she wouldn't be outside for much longer, as she would spot a convenient home just a few meters away, that she could just walk into. As it would seem that the front door had been accidentally left unlocked, and had flung opened from a gust of wind. And given that it was left in that state, one could only assume the residents had all left, supported by the fact that all the lights seemed to be out, and there weren't any cars nearby.

Though If one were to get close to the front door, they may had heard a very faint sound of sorts coming from inside. It had just been the wind though.

Simon would noticed that two people from his huddle had left to meet up with the newest entry in the pen. Simon could only assume that they must had knew each other, and had to have been part of the same movement. A thought came to him that maybe he should get to know some of these people that he was with, figuring that some of them may have some connections that might help him get out of whatever the Hungarian Government was planning on doing to him and or Maria. Of course that was the only thing he think about trying to do, as there wasn't much else to do around here.

He then noticed that the newest entry had left the two people he knew to stand around. Simon figured this may be a better time than any to attempt to introduce himself to this man. Stepping out of the huddle, he walked towards this man, all while thinking of something to say. But his train of thought was interrupted when a guard shouted at everyone in the pen. "Alright, 10 minutes before the transport gets all you fucking runts!" Simon then knew that he may perhaps not have all the time he may needed. But regardless, he continued to approached the man, and once he was close, he uttered what he had to say to him. "Ah, hello..." He said a bit awkwardly, realizing he didn't have much to say, if really at all.

Before the site would allow Johanna to leave it however, an confusingly worded dialog box appeared, that read. "Are you sure you want to leave this active program?" While that appeared on the site, the agent in the unmarked car outside was attempting to bypass the antiviruses in Johanna's computer, of course not knowing that the computer had nothing of value to him. Regardless of the resistance, he knew he had to persist if he was ever going to get what he thought he was going to get. And as such, he was then attempting to directly hack into Johanna's computer.

So this wasn't the last location they were going to be herded into. Good. That meant there was a remote change his remaining cell mates would take notice and come searching for him. Transports like these were hit on by the Resistance, partly to harass, exact revenge and free (or even recruit) those held captive. Some were successful, given the right equipment, but the Resistance had seen its fair number of disastrous attempts. Smirking at the thought of a futile attempt (no doubt whatever their transport conveyance was, it would ride with an armed escort), Jaren pegged "slight chance" lower to "no chance at all".

All in all, a typical day in the life of a resistance fighter.

"Ah, hello..." Came an awkward voice that broke Jaren out of his reverie and he glared at the approaching man.

"Need somethin'?" Jaren asked sharply, though he reminded himself to refrain from being too rude. He needed information as much as it was likely going to be given.

Chedastan wrote:The idea of squatters living in any of Hungary's sewers, has always been seen as yet another annoyance the Hungarian government has to deal with.

The screaming down below made Andras let the already-dying Nevidian man to the floor, lying down as he spent his last seconds. Andras walked out from his office on the second floor of the warehouse, and to his horror, the asylum seekers were swarmed the militiamen. Even though the militiamen were armed with guns, they were only able to killed several seekers before overwhelmed and probably beaten to the death.

Andras quickly ordered his two bodyguards to called the rest of the militiamen to secured the warehouse. The seekers managed to received the guns and fired it at Andras, who barely managed to dodged it, although it scraped his left shoulder. Soon, however, the rest militia came in and with more men and more guns, fired it at the asylum seekers, most ended up died valiantly, some protecting their children, or wives, with the remains of the seekers surrendering themselves and was brought upon another warehouse, which turns out also imprisoned many Nevidians. They put the asylum seekers in front of the warehouse, while the Nevidians were brought in front of them.

A firing squad was prepared, and each fired the guns to the seekers, turned them to its death.

"This is a warning!" said Andras as he walked to the front of the terrified Nevidians.

"You guys riot like them, and you'll end up dead. You'll be killed, or worse, tortured, and raped, until you wish you wanna die. You all hear me?"

The Nevidians nodded their heads and were brought inside again. Andras took a time of alone, as the military will came tomorrow with another trucks full of asylum seekers, given false hope of a better life. And perhaps more Nevidians.

He will be reprimanded, for this is the first time. But soon, if more like this happens, he'll end up dead.
