Hey Star, is it alright if one of the clanleaders has two Mithril axes?

2? How about 1, and you can have the other one partially made out of mithril. I don't understand why you would have mithril weapons in stead of mithril armor, but oh well.
And perhaps you should consider dropping one of the clans, b/c from what I can see, you've got a lot of fortresses and characters that will be hard to keep up for anyone, including yourself and me.

I can keep up with them, no worries, and if i really get to busy to keep up with them all i'll drop one. Just know that most of the characters won't do much aside from heading into battle if needed. They are just the "royal family" of these clans.

Hmm, north of the Black Gate is the Brown Lands and the Gasping Dust; to my knowledge nobody lived there prior to Sauron's settlement during the War of the Ring. I suppose there could have been Orcs there, though it does seem a bit far-fetched that they were so close to Mordor and not under the Dark Lord's sway.
