Black Marshes wrote:Character App-
Character name: Arq'tadan
Race: Man
Appearance: A tall, dark-skinned male with long, dark hair. He generally adorns himself with Haradrim battle-armour arms himself with a shortbow, scimitar and spear, as well as the Black Serpent banner.
History: Arq'tadan was born into one of the many nomadic tribes of Near Harad. Although small and relatively weak, his tribe were masters of battle, boasting some of the greatest warriors in the ranks of the Haradrim, and so naturally he grew to become an exceptional soldier- both at range and in combat. Upon coming of age he joined the ranks of his tribe's war party, and proved himself as a competent commander, as well as developing the skill to fire while on horseback. These factors would come into play when the Dark Lord summoned the warriors of Harad North to crush the Kingdom of Gondor, where he established himself as one of the higher-ranking commanders within the Haradrim war host.
He now fights as one of Harad's leading commanders in the war against the 'Free Peoples' of Middle-Earth, seeking glory and conquest in his many exploits.

Goals: Serve Harad and gain glory through battle
Other: He is a Haradrim General, answering directly to the Knight of Umbar

This next one is a blind shot, just an idea I had:

Character App-
Character name: Borsig Flesh-Bane
Race: Beorning
Appearance: Borsig is very tall, even for a Beorning, with long, grey-white hair and grey eyes. He coats himself with the hide of a snow-troll, it's fur and thick hide providing both warmth and protection, and is armed with two large axes that, if given to a man, would normally be considered great battle-axes, but in Borsig's large, strong hands they are mere petty war axes.
History: Borsig was born to a small band of Beornings who attempted to migrate across the Misty Mountains and resettle in the West, thinking Forodwaith an easier route than the great High Pass. They were gravely mistaken. After crossing almost half of the great wastes, a horrendous snowstorm and subsequent avalanche resulted in the deaths of all of the party, save Borsig, who only just escaped being consumed by the avalanche with the discovery of an exceptionally large tree. He spent the next days searching around the area for his companions and supplies, ending his search after discovering his mother's carcass, who which he mourned for for several days.
After he completed his mourning, he was consumed by a shell of rage and roamed Forodwaith, releasing his anger on any and all he came across.
During this period Borsig destroyed a few tribes of Northmen and Orcs, as well as slaying the great troll Strokhoth with his bare hands, who's hide now covers Borsig as a trophy, and serves as a warning to all who dwell in the North. Eventually he calmed himself, and began developing a new way of life in the Northern Wastes centred on hunting, earning him the title 'Flesh-Bane' after his lack of discrimination between the meat for his meals.
Eventually he began exploring the lands of Forodwaith and proceeded to offer his skills as a guide and bodyguard to those who traversed the great wastes, giving him considerable knowledge on the news of Middle-Earth and it's people. He is now beginning to decide his stance on the war, and is speculating on leaving Forodwaith to gain a first-hand account of the situation to make his decision.
Alignment Neutral- is not yet clear on his stance relating to the War of the Ring
Goals: Survive the onslaught of the War of the Ring
Other: I'm thinking of sending him to the Ring Council at the start of the RP (if he's accepted) to see what happens
How active will you be?: Daily
Did you read everything?: Yes
RP sample:(Same as with nation app) Already given

I know he probably won't be accepted, but it's worth a try ;)

First character accepted. As for the second dude, though...
No Beorning is stupid enough to choose Forodwraith over the High Pass, I'm pretty sure. How do you slay a troll with your bare hands. Offer his skills to who? I believe there's a reason that they are called the Ice Wastes of Forodwraith, travelers do not frequent the place. But if you can come up to solutions for those plot holes, he'll be accepted.

Saruman has totally turned evil, he's under Sauron now. So he wouldn't be called the White Wizard, instead, Saruman the Black. And yes, that's canon in this RP, b/c I just made it canon.

IC will be up after I complete my applications and my archive, and watch some gameplay of that new Mount and Blade game. So I'm predicting 5:30 PM EST.

I think it would be better to call him 'Saruman of many colours', for that was the name he took when he turned to Evil. He even dressed the part. Gandalf made a snotty remark that he liked White better, after which Saruman wiped the floors of Orthanc with his face. Such is the fate of those versed in fashion.

Character App-
Character name: Lloyd the Wayfarer
Race: Human
Appearance: Facial Appearance
History: Lloyd was born in a small farming town just outside of Bree. When his family had a fairly bad crop it became increasingly evident that this farm wouldn't be able to be passed on to both Lloyd and his older brother. When Lloyd's father passed away due to sickness, the young man set out to make a life for himself. At first this just meant that Lloyd was a sort of hunter, or more accurately, poacher. However, whenever the opportunity showed itself Lloyd would do what he could to help out the folks in and around Bree. By doing this his name became known throughout Bree-land, while not many knew of his deeds and the name was not know out of the small area, people knew Lloyd the Wayfarer was someone you could trust. Lloyd enjoyed this fame of his and became intent on somehow spreading it to a larger scale.

After rescuing a fairly wealthy hobbit coming out of Bree from two bandits, the hobbit informed the guards of Bree who started approaching him with jobs. Every now and then when Lloyd stopped by in Bree he would be informed of some trouble on the fringes of Bree-land outside immediate grasp of the guards, which Lloyd would act upon. However, one day proved news of Elrond's alliance and council arose in the far West and being that Bree was one of if not the only Human settlement in the West and one that had not fallen, so Bree felt it was best they send some people to represent "man" or at least those in Eriador. Due to Lloyd's traveling nature, he was sent ahead to confirm this council and alliance along with ensuring the road was safe ahead.
Alignment Good heavily leaning towards neutral...his heart is very "human" so corruptible.
Goals: Make a name for himself
Other: So this character is just in case Zedekiah doesn't make it to the fellowship as Zedekiah's first stop is the mines of Moria, so very likely he won't make it. That way the fellowship numbers don't diminish, if Zedekiah does make it, then this guy will probably just wander around and see what sort of trouble he gets into.

But what I am trying to say is how can a goblin be a weaker version of an orc if it encompasses the strongest version of the orcs.

Bearon wrote:Who's not taken?

Most of the big groups are taken, I am pretty sure Gondor and Rohan remnants haven't been...and if they have there are likely multiples groups of them.

Essentially anything evil is under the command of Mordor, but you may be able to take charge of a group within Morodr, but the big ones (Rhun and Harad) have been taken.

Well I have no say with how Starlight or G-Tech plans on doing things...but separating the terms really just makes a super weak class of orcs who are already fairly weak :P

And there are still five more Nazgul...if you want you could be teamed up with mine who is attempting to take Northern Eriador with a thousand orcs and arcs at his command.
