After the Chinese government betrayed the agreement they had with the Soviets, the Soviet Union created a new unit in the government, the Anti Bourgeoisie Intelligence Agency to fight the Fascist Maoist Bourgeoi government in China and the United States. In addition, it has also allowed him to gain puppet like control over Angola and The Warsaw Pact members. Lastly, a revitalized space program called Yuri's Legacy Program is underway preparing to send a space crew to the moon.

Before the incident
The Scientists were well at work in their respective offices calmly and pridefully wrapping up the procedure of preparing the excellerator for a test drive. Should it work they would be able to study the origins of our universe, if not, what could go wrong, like its predecessors the Large Hadron Collider would be replaced by a better model. Failure really wasn't to much of a big deal in the minds of the scientists but rather a letdown. They were so full of hubris they had become supercilious beyond repair, and few of them questioned the development of it either to sure that they knew what they were doing to realize what they were doing wrong.

"Malcolm, ready to begin the test. I'm so excited I can hardly keep myself together. If this works we will bring the world into a new understanding of the Universe and be able to better understand physics and, your favorite, non-linear equations." Said Phd. Connors staring at the projected results.

"Now, Connors, don't get your hopes up. I am not so eager to see how this goes. I wish we had spent another week on the air-pressurization effects within the chamber, just a little off and the ionic beams could do something totally unexpected and perhaps dangerous to all of mankind." Replied Malcolm frowning slightly. " I just wish we had put a little more precision into that specific field of the experiment is all, I mean, I would be more comfortable if we did a second check and then fired it up."

Phd. Von Pommern got up looking at him, "I doubt anything will go wrong, besides, we'd have to wait a year to fire it if we opened it up and we promised CERN results by friday. A year doesn't pass in six days. The last thing we need is a budget cut, if they do that then we may not be able to buy energy for a second attempt should it fail. Besides, we have no reason to worry if they are off then they won't explode creating a miniature universe," he smiled "but my money is on it working just as intended."

Phd. Malcolm didn't seem so sure. "I dunno Jakob, I don't like it unless its perfect, this is supposed to be the most professional scientific venture ever taken, it wouldn't hurt to give it another look."

Phd. Duval looked at them, she considered both opinions before weighing in, "I think that, while Malcolm has a point, we need to do this, if it doesn't work we can do it again, next time better, but for now we need to do this. I really have been looking forward to this and if we don't do this now, it may never happen. Just imagine the look on the visitors faces when we inform them that they get to be the first spectators to see the beginning of the universe besides us for free. And the joy the CERN Commissioner will have when he hears about it working. We will all be rich, famous, and promoted to the very top levels of CERN research, we will forever be remembered.

Phd. Malcolm looked at Phd. Duval and thought about it, but only for a moment. "No Danielle, I can't go through with this, we need to check the air pressure before we go on to attempt and begin such an ambitious test. Donovan will have to wait for the news because there is no way I will allow it."

The entire team frowned. Phd. Collins said "Well then we will let you confront Niklaus about it but I doubt he will be happy about it." Phd. Malcolm was frowning too now. "Dammit, he'll fire me in the blink of an eye. We need to all do this together." No-one spoke. "Well then it will be your fault when something goes wrong."

The team returned to work preparing to fire the high-energy ions at each other. For most of them, Malcolm's words fell on deaf ears, rejected after all they had done to get to where they were.

The Guard Office, Atlas Visitor Center

The team of six security guards were in their office relaxing as usual, only their commander Vincent de Burgogne knew of the test occurring on that day and had just announced it to his squad.

Officer Wilhelm looked at Vincent, "If we are doing something so intense then surely we would need to be prepared. Perhaps we should get the rifles from the armory in case someone tries to attack us like that last time."

Vincent stared back, "That last time was eight years ago and now we have camera's and metal detectors, no armed men will be entering the building so if they cause a problem we will not even likely need our handguns. So no rifles. We don't need to scare our visitors on such an occasion by looking like we are under attack."

Officer Willhelm sighed. " I suppose, I just wanted to be safe."

"No worries, we are just fine" replied Vincent.

The Test
One hour later, Alice Center

Phd. Connors looked at the data one last time "Alright, we have full power. Were ready to fire it. I will send a message to the others letting them know that it is starting so they can begin the analysis process as soon as they are able."

Malcolm had the look of a resigned man, in truth he felt like a fool allowing them to go on like this. It was so unprofessional to allow them to continue with a possible flaw in place. It was bad science. They may get what they wanted, but regardless he would never feel like he finished his work there since they hadn't done it right.

Connors finally lifted the test buttons casing as he gave Malcolm's complaints one last thought before inevitably pressing the button. "Welcome to the future of science. No matter what happens next there is no going back guys."

The entire facilities power flickered as the ions fired from opposite sides of the collider. So highly charged sparks could be seen as they whizzed passed the areas where you were meant to view it for study. As the atoms got closer they became more and more off course and when they collided, this imperfection became a catastrophe. The entire building's temperature rose because of the strangely powerful ionic fusion that was occurring, in fact, close to the opposite of what they wanted was about to happen. Rather than exploding and creating a universe, they were beginning to implode and the scientists, completely puzzled by this process did not stop the process. They simply stayed put keeping their hopes up. The Fusion however was also imperfect and instead of fully imploding they began to break off into pieces, pieces of Ions that floated around the collider merging and disbanding repeatedly. Finally they, breaking the rules of physics for the first time in the universe, and thus ripping a hole into a parallel universe, but just like the reaction still underway the way it was transporting them was wrong too. It was sending them to an earlier stage in that universe, to a time that would have been known as the end of the Great War. As the Facility shook these Ionic particles began to accelerate around the facility rapidly expanding the ripple to the point a massive scar between the two universes had opened. After that an explosion occurred sending them into the other timeline and leveling the lands around it in the universe they were leaving. In the one they were entering a strange flash of light began shining as the facility slowly came into view. The process was complete and they were locked in another universe, a universe in almost every way like ours, except that ours didn't have a Large Hadron Collider in 1917. One full of advanced people full of advanced ideas and covered in advanced technology. How the two timelines would interact would be a test for the men of the past as well as those condemned to leave their lives in the future. But for now the movement had caused so much disruption in physics that you have been rendered immobile temporarily feeling vertigo, hearing strange metallic sounds and causing sensory organs such as your skin to send random signals to the brain. To a human, the experience would be similar to having a barrel of Mercury dumped on their heads, most quickly were left unconscious the new universe awaiting their awakening.

A reaction from the local military forces
British 1st Reserves Brigade, Annecy, France
On patrol in the area was a battalion from the British 1st Reserves Brigade. The strange lights prompted their commander to investigate and soon they will arrive to find the LHC. Determined to stop German Expansion in Central France this battalion fears a German Force moving in through Switzerland and so they feel an obligation to figure out what is happening near Geneva. Their commander John Longreach has particular interest in the region and wants a thorough search of the area.

Called to action were two Swiss regiments hoping to figure out the situation and investigate what had happened themselves. The strange light did not resemble anything they had ever heard of in war and desperately hoped the French or Germans were not invading. It seemed unlikely, but in a continent frequently plagued by expansionists and war mongers, one could never rule it out. The regiments would patrol the area and if they made contact with anyone they would negotiate with them before reporting back to base. If any hostilities were met they were to immediately return fire until the enemy was subdued. It was their only hope of protecting Geneva from potential enemies so close.

Brief (Paragraph) Description of your nation's history: The Constitutional monarchy of East Africa came "Alive" during the colonial period first known as the native population of Ethiopia, as many Europeans took the spots of the natives. Allowing them to take western arms against the Italians, East Africa gained ground. East Africa started their conquests by defending against the Italians with the arms giving by England, France, and even Russia. After the defending against foreign powers was over, they began the offensive. Attacking Italian Somaliland, and quickly capturing it for themselves. After that, they waited for a revolution of Anti-colonists to emerge in British Africa, quickly taking advantage. With a rebellion revolting in much of Southern Africa. However unity was achieved under President De Gaulle; father of the 5th Republic. Integrating people of all allegiances, colours, creeds and beliefs under the banner of the French nation. Quickly joining de-colonisation efforts, France pulled out of most of it's colonial territory, including African territories, the Middle East and Vietnam before revolutions could start. In pulling out of the colonies, France looked more to itself and how it could improve itself as a nation economically and socially. Starting with the modernisation of their armed forces in 1964, France's military capabilities were expanded greatly and was known as a formidable force around the world.
