Team name: Miniature Meteor (ミニチュアメテオ)
Tank: T-28 Model 1934 (T-28A)

Commander
Name: Iona Takayama
Age: 16 years old
Appearance:
Image

Height: 157 cm

Favorite flower: Cherry Blossoms
Favorite tank: Type 3 Chi-Nu
Personality: Iona has shown to be very caring towards her crew mates, as she is very sensitive to everyone's well-being and is almost always depicted in high-spirits, in attempts for everyone one to enjoy themselves. For most of the time, she acts eccentric and silly, only being serious when the situation absolutely demands it. When she does become serious, Iona goes from idiotic ditz to a straightforward tactician.
Bio: One of the transfers to Reiver, she hails from a small Japanese school ship that the rest of the crew is from, which all have small experience in Sensha-do. Technically the second oldest within the crew, she initially began as a social outcast within her society, estranged by everyone due to rather unusual behavior. It was Nagisa that would first approach her during her second year of middle school, who would introduce her to Saki, and then eventually Maiko and Fumiko. It was until near the end of her first year in high school, where they forced to be separated, as they were enlisted to help their sensha-do team for their second match in the nationals. There, she would be given command of a Valentine tank with Fumiko and Maiko, who despite being new at the sport, catching up fast enough. By the time of the match, they contributed in knocking out an enemy tank, before they're flag tank was knocked out, ending their sensha-do career shortly after starting it. The school having trouble stay afloat, sold the tanks and shutdown a majority of their clubs, which caused for them to move to another place. By coincidence, they all managed to stay and enroll to Reiver Academy.

Gunner
Name: Maiko Otonashi
Age: 16 years old
Appearance:

Image

Height: 166 cm

Favorite flower: Lily
Favorite tank: Type 74 Nana-yon
Personality: Headstrong, Maiko is the "interpreter" for Fumiko, being the one who the talking to her. Other than that, she is sociable, talking to people when she feels nothing to do. But, she is willing to do almost anything to win, due to her near extreme competitive nature.
Bio: Formerly know as "one of strongest girls in the world", she lived as a neighbor to Fumiko, their friendship beginning when they were five years old. Maiko saved Fumiko from getting hit by a car, which afterwards blossomed into a friendship, as they hung out with say other more and more. When the time came to choose which middle school they would go to, the two went together as a pair, where they would meet Saki, Iona, and Nagisa. Their first year in highs school, they were enlisted by the student council into sensha-do, placed under Iona's command. At most, she became an average gunner, who decided after she graduate from high school, would go back to the mainland and join the Defense Force. When the time came to transfer schools, the friends found themselves together once more.

Loader
Name: Fumiko Kuroda
Age: 16 years old
Appearance:
Image

Height: 153 cm

Favorite flower: Gardenia
Favorite tank: Panzer III Ausf. M
Personality: A sweet and shy girl, she can often found beside Maiko, having been friends since they were little kids. She is dependent on her presence, if not, will slightly have a breakdown. The only person she can talk to effectively is Maiko, and when she feels that she is not getting enough of her attention, she becomes clingy.
Bio: Having always been a shy and timid girl, she had trouble interacting with people, except for the one she admired the most, which was Maiko. After that incident with the car, Fumiko had always been saved by Maiko, whether it be from bullies, dogs, or anything that threatened her in anyway, she became dependent on her. When they reached high school, like the others, they were enlisted in sensha-do, where she became the driver of the Valentine. Considered worse than the average driver, it helped by the fact that they were in a slow tank, so maneuverability wasn't as big of an issue. In truth, she dislikes being in Tankery, only joining to be beside Maiko. When they left the school and transferred to Reiver, the two live in the same apartment.

Radio Operator
Name: Saki Enomoto
Age: 16 years old
Appearance:
Image

Height: 167 cm

Favorite flower: Monte Cassino Aster
Favorite tank: KV-122
Personality: Always the calm one, Saki has never been known to loose her head in any moment, preferring to come out on top using her head. Among her outstanding abilities, she has gained a reputation from everyone around her to that she is extremely reliable, that she can depended on no matter the situation. She is the most mature out the whole crew, and she prefers to be quiet and observe the current situation, willing to accept anyone or anything for what they are.
Bio: As a young child, she had grown up on the stories of her great grandfather who had fought for the imperial Japanese forces in Manchuria, battling the soviet troops and their near invincible tanks, which made her a fan of them. Then come middle school, Saki was a jack of all trades, excelling in all subjects, and this stayed throughout. Although, despite her talents, many refused to talk to her. It was Nagisa that first became friends, then the rest being history, as they everybody else in their crew. They were inseparable until they became high schoolers and was enlisted in their sensha-do team, in which she became the commander, gunner, loader, and radio operator of a T-70 light tank. She was able to fulfill the roles successfully, in which during the match they were placed in, netted two knock outs from the enemy team. But after their team lost, the team went their separate ways, yet still ended up attending the same school.

Driver
Name: Nagisa Omura
Age: 16 years old
Appearance:
Image

Height: 157 cm

Favorite flower: Poinsetta
Favorite tank: M41 Walker Bulldog
Personality: Often hot-blooded and energetic, Nagisa has the tendency to charge ahead without thinking of the consequences, unwilling to relent. Only few have been able to calm her down to a reasonable state, which is the rest of the crew. When not in this state, she is friendly and talkative to everyone. Sometimes she is compared to a dog, especially when it comes loyalty towards others.
Bio: Born a great athlete, she excelled in any physical activity, but was considered simple minded compared to everyone else in their school. This did not stop her from making friends, which would become the crew here today, being the person that started this for them. Come their first year in high school, they would the enlisted for sensha-do teams being placed under the command of Saki, and became the driver. She would classified as average in driving; but proved herself more than that in the match, showing off a quick reaction time to things around. When it was decided they would transfer, she was saddened, until the fate if hand brought them all to the same school, which was none other Reiver Academy.

Well I'm starting with a shitty tank so I can feel better about myself better, but even then I'm not really going to be that powerful of a tank.

And if I had gotten the T-28 Model 1938, I would be able to penetrate of about more than 60mm of armor, unsloped of course.

I offset their disadvantage by having fought in an actual battle and being slightly trained.

The T-28 was awesome at its time. Are you kidding me? A tank from 1931/32 with a 76.2mm main gun, top speed of 23 mph, a radio and decent armor as well?

Not really, the multiple turrets and poor engine did it in. The 76.2mm main gun is also rather pathetic with an AP round (the 47mm L/40 on a M15/42 can compete with it). 20 - 30mm armor would be taken out by anything 37mm or above.

It is aesthetically pleasing, admittedly.

Commander/Gunner
Name: Luba Ivanov
Age: 18
Appearance: Here.
Favourite flower: Camomile
Favourite tank: T-34
Personality : Luba is very stringent and has an aura of command around her. She does not like to chat while inside the tank, and even then, she does little more than give orders. However, she is a very competent and well-trained tank commander, and will not lose her nerve easily.
Bio : Luba is the only child of two Russian Ground Forces officers, and grew up in St. Petersburg with her grandmother. She became obsessed with tanks when her father brought her to a WW2 museum. She attended every military parade she could and carefully studied the tanks as they rolled past. She scored perfect marks on History and Mathematics and was sent to Reiver Academy.

Loader
Name: Ninel Sokoloff
Age: 16
Appearance: Here.
Favourite flower: Orchid
Favourite tank: ISU-152
Personality : Ninel loves explosives, and played with firecrackers often when she was a child. The town she lived in had a large population of stray cats, many of which she became acquainted with. Her favourite subject is Chemistry, and she is very adventurous and is not afraid to try new things.
Bio : Ninel was a street urchin for the first few years of her life, until she was taking in by a kindly retired demolitions expert named Aleksandr. She loved him and he became Ninel's mentor, idol and role model. He used his savings to let Ninel go to school, which made her love for him grow further. He became a second father for her. She managed to get to Reiver Academy having written several essays about controlled demolitions and improving firecracker safety.

Driver
Name: Aglaya Konstantinov
Age: 17
Appearance: Here.
Favourite flower: Carnation
Favourite tank: IS-3
Personality : Aglaya carries her headphones and music player wherever she goes, and only takes it off when inside the tank. When she is not listening to the latest albums, she talks non stop with Ninel, which often annoys Luba, leading to an uneasy relationship between the two.
Bio : Aglaya's father was the lead vocalist for a local pop band, and she enjoyed listening to all his records day after day. She went for guitar lessons and is able to play one quite well. However, her linguist mother did not approve of her lifestyle and made her study Geography and English. She eventually made it to Reiver Academy with both her parents' support.

Compared to the Tanks it could have gone up against, the Panzer I, Panzer II, CV33, M1 Combat Car, Type 89, 7TP, it was up to par and could take them on. Of course, every tank made after the late 30's it was obsolete.

I agree with Stahn and it aas tu radio that made it truly impressive for its time.

The M15/42 was from 1943. Between 31 and 43 a lot has happened regarding tank development. I am not saying it was a good tank in the 40's but it was a revolutionary tank in the 30's.

At the cost of of making it more breaking down, slower top speed, and the fact that the gun is still lacking.

There weren't many better tanks at the time I can think of. Obviously the KV's and T-34 were better in many respects (although also had reliability issues.) Also the lay out wasn't perfect but again, if you compare it to other medium tanks of its time not that bad at all.

As far as I know this was less the case with the panzer III and IV but I read on wikipedia that the T28 was pretty much on par with even the panzer IV in 1940 and for a tank that old that is pretty amazing.

This information was taken from a source I don't have access to but I find the English pages of wikipedia pretty reliable. When it comes to Russian tanks they do seem to have become more critical recently.

One could always say that they don't find wikipedia a reliable source. I don't really have a comeback to such statements but I personally do find it generally very reliable.

The M15/42 was just a semi-improved copy of a tank produced in 1939 that was derived in part from the Vickers light tank, but with better air filters, the hull hatch changed, a petrol engine granting 38 kph on road and 20 kph off road, and an improved version of the 47/32, that had a longer barrel (the 47/40 was being produced in 1940).

Point being that the 47mm L/40 had almost equivalent (if not better) penetration than the 76.2mm. It was sufficient for the early 1930's, but the T-28 itself was not particularly impressive, due to all the problems it faced.
Stahn wrote:It probably was one of the best tanks in 1940 as well. With its upgraded armor.

Why? It had the same speed as an infantry tank on road, and probably the same off road. Not to mention the reliability issues. Thick armor isn't everything, especially when you're sacrificing everything else.

No. You're being so damn confusing by giving me all these variant names for Pz IV and III's, without any details, and Wikipedia ain't the best. No long-barreled 50mm gun, Ulv.

In my opinion, the M13/40 was the best medium tank during 1940, owing to the sturdy design, diesel engine, good armament, and suspension. The flak it receives is rather undeserved, because it fought in the desert, when it was designed to fight in a terrain like the Alps. It had flaws, the poor speed mainly, plus there was the riveted armor that has a tendency to crack when hit with non-penetrating shots.

It probably was a lot better than it was given credit for. Some Italian armored fighting vehicles were pretty good. Mostly some of their self propelled guns were rather good.

Rivets are a drawback. They tend to act as projectiles inside the tank when hit by the enemy. Italians did tend to put their tanks in a higher weight class than other nations would have done. It was used for the role of medium tank but it was pretty much a light tank, was it not?

Their best SPG, the Semovente 90/53 is open-topped, so unfortunately it can't be used in GuP. A shame because it was the 88mm counterpart to the Italians.

While it has been often repeated, never heard of a case of the rivets acting as projectiles. Cracking happened a lot, yes, but never heard of a case where the crew were turned into Swiss cheese.

On your app, I can accept, but I do think you should probably rethink your particular vehicle, and work on your app a bit better. Make it a bit more detailed.

Please consider my app a WiP. I will spend more time on it.

I would really like to use the T-15. I am also making a Sketchup model of this tank and I just adore the way the thing looks.

I know it doesn't have much firepower and armor but it is very fast.

(Edit The HMG was not as powerful as I thought)
