Still using single-shot rifles when everyone was starting to field something like the Lebel 1886, Lee-Enfield, Mauser rifles, or the Mosin-Nagant......

Well a lot of people used stuff from Britain and America, mostly America because of their untouched industry and Roosevelt, and I liked the M1 Thompson better than Sten Gun..... Same thing for the BAR, M1 Bazooka, M1 Garand, M1 Carbine.......

Don't forget the M1 57mm, and the M1 76mm AT guns.

But yeah, the American infantry had the biggest edge in the world at the time because of the Garand. M1 Thompson was amazing, but expensive. And the M1 Carbine seemed like a waste of a weapon with that teeny weeny round.. But I can see why it was developed.

It's useful for annoying the enemy from 300 yards. :p

Going back to tanks, which Interwar tanks did you think was the best?

Interwar tanks? Probably the S35. I would say the Matilda is a close second.

I don't think that's suppose to count, but okay. (Talking about the Matilda)

I suppose because it had a good gun, armor, and mobility right?

Compared to the Renault FTs lying around and the Char B1.

Or the Panzer I and II.

or the M1 Combat Car and M2 Light Tank.

Or the T-26, T-28, and all of the shitty interwar tanks that the Soviets had....

The Italians only had tankettes ("Raise the energy shield, prepare for bombardment from Storm and that one Italian guy!") and the Japanese........ The Type 95 light wasn't that bad for something like the tanks it could have seen by the time it was built..

The Czechs had the Panzer 35(t) too.......

But the S35 was more than capable than dealing with all of them, and the Japanese tanks were built more for island warfare so not a whole lot of armor.

Oh yeah I forgot about the BT tanks!

Okay, those were good for their time to..... Not as armored as the S35 frontally, but it had a higher velocity gun and that speed...

I'm not sure about the gun, but they were definitely smaller and faster. But they're like the German mid and late war tanks. All their armor is in the front.

@Ryn. Maybe but the armor on MBT's is more like Allied armor. Light and fairly even all around.

@Perestroikavo. Depends, crew served or non?

:meh: .............

I have none, too hard to pick which one I like, there's just too many for me to pick from. But if I had to say which one it has to be right now, it have to be the......

M1 Carbine, because of a lot of things, like its lightweight design, it had the same sight picture as the Garand, the recoil was light, and handling would be overall easy. And I kinda like the metallic report, but that's just me.

Coming in close second would be the Browning M1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle.... Just cause I like it.... And I like the idea of being able to aim a SAW while doing marching fire since it had a conventional design, with the magazine being at the bottom.

Favorite early-war non-crew served weapon: M1 Garand.
Favorite late-war non-crew served weapon: Sturmgewehr 44.

When that reboot comes, I was thinking of this line progression:

T-26 --> T-80 --> T-50 --> KV-13 --> T-44-100

I like Russian tanks
I like to RP. Excellent thing to pass time with.

If you look at my garage in WoT, you will see that Russian tanks make up a majority of the population, although I am starting to like Brit meds (Sherman Firefly and Centurion Mk. I come to mind)

I'm on my phone, sup I apologize in advance for my breifness. My favorite early war was the PPSH 41, due to its high stooping power and ruling of close quarters combat, and my favorite "late" war was the Sten Mk. IV due to its concealability and stealth capability.

I would say '41 was closer to mid war.

PPSH also didn't have that much stopping power since the round was smaller than that of the M1 Carbine, it just had a ROF higher than most machine guns.

As far as mid war goes my favorite would be the MKb 42.

What? I'm not refuting that.

The only turreted light tank they had at that stage was a prototype that sucked.

Change early and late war to favorite and second favorite. And the PPSH didn't have the stopping power through a single bullet, but the rof have it it's stopping power.
