It is the year 2013. October. Around two weeks before Halloween. You, whoever you may be, and whatever your feelings towards the season are, are having a busy day. Most of them seem busy anymore. It's not long before you or someone with you receives a phone call or text message. Your contact tells you of an odd event that happened in the 16th Street Mall today.
It seems a small party of college students visiting from Texas suddenly attacked and mauled many people, killing some. Some of the assailants were gunned down by police officers, while others were sedated and taken to the county jail for questioning. The survivors of this attack suffered broken bones, ripped flesh from fingernails, and deep bites into their skin. They were taken to the local hospital for medical treatment. Many are conscious, but in intensive care. Seems the docs will have their work cut out for them.

Hello! I'm Comp, as some of you may be aware, and I'm doing the thing! This, obviously, is an rp based in the world of The Last of Us, and begins around the time the game does. Obviously, clickers don't exist yet (to be introduced at an unknown point for now), nor bloaters. This rp will focus on a ragtag group who escaped Denver and is fleeing towards the Rocky Mountains. Characters are pretty freely allowed, but we can't have 10 teenagers running around in the woods with no adults, so keep character types, ages, races, appearances, etc. as varied as you can!
Please note that you can have multiple characters as some will definitely die here.

Personality: We don't need a suicidal kid who's psychotic deciding he's going to escape a huge city falling apart. It's inconsistent. Your character needs to be genuine, not an anime antagonist.
