I was unfortunately not Born on the Bayou. Though I was raised on it. I'm heavily considering (read: probably will) submit a Gulf Coast-inspired region with a New Orleans-inspired capital. But only after I get the new map up (speaking of which, I'm still waiting on Agri and Pan to submit their shit, *HINT* *HINT* *HINT*).

But aren't you from Pennsylvania?

Also, I was indeed molded by it. I learned to drive a boat before I learned to drive a car. You can take the androgyne out of the bayou, but you can't take the bayou out of the androgyne.

Yeah, I sent him two TGs. One yesterday, and one today reemphasizing that I need it.

I only based them on MCIs for their similarity to C rats (I mean, they were close enough that they continued to be called C rats), and that they were meant to be eaten for longer periods, while also still fitting in with the tech setting (we can't have MRE's, after all). Also, I thought the MCIs also fit into the "forced army service sucks" bit, since they were still considered subpar in taste. I also figured most previous ration designs would've already been used by this point in the war, given its scale and length, so we'd mostly be seeing the current rations.

Well, maybe. Due to the fact that MCIs are slightly more expensive, it is doubtful they would have invested anymore cash onto improvements. I want a ration that is readily available in large quantity, and is small enough for an infantryman to carry enough C-Rations. A simple compromise is to add MCIs to 2nd class rations, since they are better quality but carrying a lot is the main issue with them.

My thinking is that we're getting regularly supplied with 2nd class rations, so 3rd class is rarely needed (so we shouldn't have to carry that many of them), and E-rats are for well, emergencies.

EDIT: Also, we've got IFVs, which one would think would have at least some storage space for rations, even if its not much.

It's just for this thread. OOC and IC will keep the old one.

Also Ayr. Put these in their respective places and delete the old Oorburg tab as it is kind of obselete.

Royalty

King (m.), Queen (f.)
The ruler of the country. The term "king" is a popular usage derived from the Thorn languages common in Bastardised Nahumic; however, the High Nahumic (and therefore more formal) title is "rey" or "roy". The term "queen", too, is a popular usage derived from the Thorn languages common in Bastardised Nahumic; however, the High Nahumic (and therefore more formal) title is "reyn" or "reyna".
Addressed and referred to as "Your/His/Her Majesty".

Prince (m.), -ess (f.)
A child or sibling of the King and Queen.
Addressed and referred to as "Your/His/Her Altess".

Other members of the royal family are addressed and referred to as "Your/His/Her Grace", and often hold titles of nobility.

Nobility

Male members of the nobility may be styled "Dom" (Dm). Female members may be styled "Dame" (Dm).

Duke (m.), Duchess (f.)
The ruler of a duchy; the highest rank below royalty. Probably sits on the Concile Seney.
Addressed and referred to as "Your/His/Her Serenity".

Marquis (m.), Marquess (m.), Margrave (m.), Marchioness (f.), Marquise (f.)
The ruler of a march. Marches are most common in the Thornorgisil-dominant regions in the east, but there are some in the interior and west of the country. May sit on the Concile Seney.
Addressed and referred to as "Your/His/Her Excellency".

Count (m.), -ess (f.)
The ruler of a county. Counties are most common in the interior of the country. May sit on the Concile Seney.
Addressed and referred to as "Your/His/Her Reverence".

Viscount (m.), -ess (f.)
The ruler of a viscounty. A few sit on the Concile Seney.
Addressed and referred to as "Your/His/Her Glory".

Baron (m.), -ess (f.)
The ruler of a barony; the lowest noble rank. Officially, may sit on the Concile Seney, but this has only happened a few times throughout history.
Addressed and referred to as "Your/His/Her Honour".

Gentry

Both male and female members of the gentry may be styled "Sir" (Sr).

Knight (m. & f.)
Knights may hold land, but may not sit on the Concile Seney.

Edler (m. & f.)
Edler is a title used by only a few families in the Thornorgisil-dominant regions in the east, and no one has been granted this title for centuries. They may hold land, but may not sit on the Concile Seney.

An explanation of the Concile Seney will follow.

Came up with some slang. Again, some of it is my own, while some I blatantly borrowed.

Mortar Monkey -- Mortarman/woman. More of an affectionate nickname than an insult.
Head Gorilla of the Mortar Monkeys -- Mortar team leader.
Crawler Brawler -- 14T APC crewmember, especially one who tends to bring their vehicle a bit too close to combat.
Biodegradable -- Someone who breaks down in nature. Hates being out in the field.
Always Tired -- AT gunner. A play on the acronym "AT" and on the perceived weight of the weapon.
Let's fuck! -- Acknowledgment. "Altaflor squad, take that hill!" "Aye, aye, sir! Let's fuck!"
OMF -- Ow My Fingers. OMFing refers to feeding a new belt of 30mm into an IFV cannon's chamber. "Warren, OMF the gun."
Fossil -- Precambrian.
Can Opener -- Bayonet.
PFB -- Piss For Brains. Insult.
Private Elect -- Someone who has either been demoted to Private or has stayed one for long. A play on the Elect noble rank, granted to people for their accomplishments.
Master Key -- 30mm armor-piercing rounds. Opens up anything.
Road Pizza -- Roadkill.
Panzerbrothel -- A confusing mess of parked vehicles.
Prank Call -- Pointless bullshit on the platoon radio frequency. "Maintain radio silence until contact. No prank calling."
Workout Weight -- Antitank mine. Weighs a ton.
Altaflor Flower Ursela -- All Fucked Up.

Antediluvian is after flood, which is a bible reference.

Wait. Precambrians are democratic and professional, Antediluvian are monarchist and concscripts.

Antediluvian is pre-Flood, actually. Otherwise, not too shabby thinking there, Pan.
