Okay so I think I might be ready to get back into this again. I'm guessing Kyr's in her room but is there anyone with her? Also, where's Gin?

Kal put Gin in Kyr's room I think.

I figured, but there's still two new pages in the IC as well as some new characters so I wanted to be sure.

Usually I'm the same but not in this case. Kyr and Gin's argument was way better the first time I wrote it but I couldn't rebuild the wording.

I'm glad that in my class at college all they do is TALK about rioting. Though it was rioting over student loans and it is what I call a stupid reason, and yes I know it is a concern for some I have loans too. It is just so stupid to riot over that.

But regardless I hope everything is alright.

I'm enjoying myself too. Hell I am writing a short story, or long depending, about Rache's life before this roleplay on quotev. I can say that I have a couple chapters (if I count the prologue) done so far. I'll probably post a link here after I finish the second real chapter.

Usually for me it is about the same quality but different from the point I wanted to get across which annoys me. But your post did make me feel sympathy for Kyr at least. Both OOC and IC if Rache was there. :P

And as a side note if a rematch duel happens (I am definitely NOT saying I want one) can Rache have someone represent him in the duel and by that I mean Kristina? The best way to put it is declare Kristina his champion for the duel. The code does not mention it to my knowledge so I was just curious. Since here's the thing I realized thinking it over. Kyr and Kristina is bound to hate each other more than anything, perhaps even more than one could say Kyr has for Rache. Kyr thinks Rache is a murderous, blasphemous, heretic, while, as far as Kristina is concerned, the guy is a saint (not quite the equivalent I was looking for but you get the idea) and that Kyr insulting him in anyway is unforgivable. Plus Kyr wouldn't like Kristina anyway since she is effectively one of Rache's closest friends from home and a member of his Order and has a single minded dedication to Rache and his sister. Rache is content with wanting to bury the hatchet and start everything anew, hell he is willing to forget the whole episode occurred, but I am doubtful Kyr would be that open and Kristina would immediately jump to Rache's defense in any circumstance that Rache doesn't explicitly tell her not to so naturally they may be itching to leap at each other's throat. Not saying I want this to occur but it is something I realized (that and Kristina is ordered to avoid Kyr when possible to avoid conflict by Rache).

As another side note after some debate I decided to settle on Rache and Kristina hating everything pertaining to Dragons and their worship but not lawless, though the terms are interchangeable to them, in general so they won't go insane at the sight of say Akkina.

Sorry just been doing a lot of thinking these past few days about everything.

I'm not sure I intended to make Kyr the sympathetic character here. On the one hand, she is getting a very serious telling off right on the tail of a humiliating defeat. On the other hand, everything Gin's saying is correct; Kyr's lack of confidence in herself caused her to throw the duel when she could have won it handily.

Eventually I want Kyr to transform into a stronger character but right now I kind of want her to be the Sansa Stark of the group; sympathetic in that you feel sorry for her, sure, but also frustrating because plenty of her misfortune stems from an inability to help herself. That's probably overstating her uselessness a bit because she is a capable fighter who deserves to be at the Academy (as a squire she once faced down a Goliath serreptile, the Tor Desert's alpha predator - essentially a twenty-metre cross between a Komodo dragon and a scorpion and is basically immune to magic*) but right now her lack of confidence means she crumples whenever the stakes are high, like today when she felt it was her family's honour on the line.

As for a rematch, I don't know; we'll see what happens. I think Rache and Kyr are likely to give each other a wide berth from now on and the likelihood of one provoking the other to a challenge again is small. On the other hand, I could see Kristina being just brash and stupid enough to do something that would result in another duel but I don't want it to be for a while. Maybe I can write it as a redeeming moment for Kyr once I've got a bit more character development tucked under her belt.

Imagine you're the parent of a really bright kid - one who's always done well at school and consistently outperformed their classmates and impressed you and their teachers for years. Then one day your kid comes home from school with a report card and suddenly - for no apparent reason at all - all those straight As you'd been seeing over the years have turned into Ds. Now discover that the reason is because your kid simply stopped bothering to do their schoolwork for no reason.

That is exactly how angry and disappointed Gin is with Kyr right now. If she had fought hard and lost then that would be one thing, but she didn't really try. The other students don't know her well enough and don't have the skill to see it in her technique but Gin's a four-thousand year old expert of warfare and swordsmanship and the closest thing Kyr has to a father or grandfather. He knows exactly how badly she's fucked up.

I'm not saying he wasn't mean; I'm saying Kyr kinda deserved it.

Finally posted. Couldn't come up with much but I gave Rache's thoughts on an issue that is important to him.

Rache doesn't intend to approach her anyway but he no longer cares about what happened. As for Kristina she would giver her a wide berth too due to standing orders from Rache. I was more meaning if the two were forced to interact and exchange point of view. Think some sadistic madman at the Academy thought boding exercises was a good idea or something.

Okay, so talk about the long game; I just drafted two cheesy inspirational speeches to use when Kyr eventually becomes a badass. Of course, at the current rate of story progression I'll be able to use them in...*checks calculator*...2065 and 2077 respectfully. I think I'll have to grant authorship rights for the climactic battle scen to one of my grandchildren when I write my will.

I also have enough spells translated to last until Ragnarok.

I have several posts in the wings but one important one is a ritual between Rache and Kristina that would take place on the night of the day our characters are in now, its based around her telepathy and some aspects of it. Which means sometime by December. Hopefully.

I mean, I only played yesterday (spent the whole day finishing a run), and I went neutral, mostly, so, nope.

But I totally plan on doing it, because holy shit, the stuff my brother's told me sounds balls-bustingly awesome.
