God dammit. Why US, why can't your letter-number ranking system match with NATO ranking, especially when everyone else was posting their NATO grade.

I posted an USAF Grade... O-1 is 2nd Lieutenant, right?

I think so. The thing is that in NATO OF-1 can mean either 2nd or First Lt. I got NATO and USAF mixed up as one so I just put you at the bottom of the 1st Lt. list, which I guess was the beginning of the 2nd Lt. List.

Well, I guess he'd be best at the top of the list anyways given he seems to have the most combat experience out of all of them anyways. He seems to have more combat experience than even some of the brass above him too.

Barry has fairly extensive combat experience through various means

He is, however, a second lieutenant and does not speak of his experience at all for...obvious reasons.

yeah okay guys

Also look at the rest of fucking NATO, everyone has 2 or 3 different OF-1 ranks.

But reading is hard.

OK lets put it to a vote. Who would rather I just scrap the list (save for members of the squad that are already in it) and then have you all pick numbers after the briefing. Of course NB would also have to agree to this since they are the OP.

I really dont think that the number someone is assigned is indicative of their ranks at all. They could be based on seniority, they can be randomly assigned, they could be based on when the pilots birthday is, for all ti really matters.

In the system I use for my nations Air Forces, 1, 5 and 9 are flight leads, and therefore more than likely superior in rank to the rest of the numbers. Obviously number sequence don't mean dick in Erusea, since Yellow 13 lead a squadron.....and his wing mate was Yellow 4.... and, Jean-Louis Flaubert was Yellow 21.

At the end of the day, what the hell does it matter who is superior to whom and, for serious, it rally doesn't matter who gets what number.

That was why I was suggesting everyone get to pick their number after the briefing, especially since we are all mercenaries.

Nothing really. Quick and easy identification of an aircraft via visuals and radio, especially if you are landing at a runway that doesn't know you callsign.

Even if she doesn't act it, pretty sure my character has more experience than President Jackson.

Not a president, just my RL names mixed around a bit.... Also in our current planes probably. Jackson is used to an F-18 not an A-10 but regardless he's been flying for the military for the last 9 years... Cut him some slack he's seen some stuff... And some things... He wouldn't recommend it!

As a question, just how far has Sapin invaded into Usea? Do we have everything? Because that's what the OPs of both threads seems to imply, but I just want to make sure.

Sapin and Belka control most of the south west of the continent and you have ISAF in full retreat and are bearing down on them in essentially a giant pincer move. There a few areas where the ISAF forces are still holding out, but with out it's air force there isn't really much ISAF can do at the moment.

Edit: At least that's how I imagined it back in the original.

Alright, so there's still ISAF holdings on the mainland? Do you have an idea where the frontline is as of right now?
