Biography:
Subject number LF0024, though he prefers his assumed name of " Barry Locke", is the only surviving test subject of Project Doppelganger; a 1996 experiment began by the Belkan government to produce clones of renowned fighter pilots to act as cadre for retraining the decimated Belkan Air Force. Of great interest to Belkan scientists was Larry Foulke, also known as "Solo Wing Pixy", whose body was never recovered after his climactic showdown with Cipher and the Galm Team at the Avalon Dam. It is unknown how the Belkan government obtained genetic material with which to construct a clone of Foulke, however, it is likely that the material was either obtained following Foulke's defection from the Allied Forces at Sudentor and his subsequent involvement with "World With No Boundaries", or during his recovery after ejecting from his stricken fighter, which was spent in care of unknown persons near the site of one of the 7 Belkan nuclear weapons detonated during the war.
Subject LF0024 is the only known surviving clone created by using the genetic material of Larry Foulke. His catalog number implies there were at least 24 clones created, however, the exact amount created will never be known due to the destruction of records by the Gray Men in the closing days of the Circum-Pacific War to prevent their capture by Allied forces. Subject LF0024 was kept in gestation during this conflict and secured in a secret facility in northern Belka.
Once awakened, he was trained under the Grabacr Squadron, the best squadron Belka had available. His innate ability as a fighter pilot, the abilities given to him by his genetic make up, saw him surpass even the best of the Grabacr fliers within months of training. This proved to the Belkan government that Project Doppelganger was a complete success. Soon, the Belkans began seeking other candidates for this insidious program.
Subject LF0024 was activated during the Sapinese War against Ratio and Ustio, and used by Belka to lead an elite squadron of fighter pilots in the Belkan Air Force. However, during the conflict, through means unknown, subject LF0024 obtained a copy Brett Thompson's 2005 documentary "Warriors and the Belkan War" and learned that he was not his own man, but instead the clone of one of the greatest fighter pilots to have lived. Worse, as he read about his forebearer, his ideals and his dreams for a world of peace, he became disgusted with the actions he had undertaken in Belkan service. He began to keep a detailed record of his thoughts and fears and ideas following this realization in the hopes that he could find solace from his sins in writing. Unconsciously, its possible that he intended to keep a record of his sins so that he could one day be punished.
Subject LF0024 defected from Belkan service, stealing a Belkan MiG-25 after attempting to sabotage other aircraft based in the area. However, his escape was quickly noted by Belkan authorities, and elements of the 14th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Jäger Squadron, a unit renowned for its lack of mercy and bloodthirsty tactics, rose to prevent his escape. During his flight from Jäger Squadron, the MiG-25 suffered catastrophic engine failure due to the high speeds of travel (it is estimated he reached speeds of Mach 3.1) and was forced to eject at high speed. Subject LF0024 sustained extensive injury during the high speed ejection, though managed to parachute to safely in Nordland. However, due to traumatic head injuries sustained during the ejection, Subject LF0024 was stricken with minor amnesia. Making his way to Peterhamn, he began to piece his life back together under a false identity, using his notes, and the battered copy of "Warriors and the Belkan War" to regain his perspective on life.
During his time in Peterhamn, he befriended an elderly gentlemen known to the local as "Johnathan Fay". Subject LF0024, never having known real parents, was thankful for the fatherly affection and love shown to him by this gentlemen, other people even commented on the uncanny resemblance between the two. Johnathan Fay, a local fisherman, revealed to Subject LF0024 through many conversations that he had not always lived the simple life of a fisherman, but had fought in many battles in several continents in his life, though he refused to divulge details, claiming they were "trivial in nature, simply me doing some good in the world where good was needed the most."
When the Sapin-Belkan invasion of Erusea commenced two years later, Subject LF0024 expressed his desire to enlist in the service of the Independent States Allied Forces, wanting to use this noble service to regain not only his own honor, still feeling the need to atone for his crimes in service to Belka, but to attempt to realize the dreams of his "true" father. He chose a moniker to honor his "true" father, one distinct, but in homage; Duel Wing Pixy, choosing to affix the red coat applied to the wing of Pixy's plane to his own, but covering both wings. He would not be dissuaded in his duel against evil. He obtained travel to North Point, his diary in his pocket, and a hope in his heart for a future a world with no boundaries, For the ideals once held dear by fore bearer. For the people, he would fight once more.
