It's actually Crowley, dicking around.

Both of them.

I love Honest Trailer's summary of Ocarina of Time.

Khan Daratai put his grandson Khagichun on the throne of the neighboring kingdom of the Bahadur Sultanate, after killing the prior Sultan and the boy's mother.

Then the Plague - yeah, that one - swept into Syria and killed off half of House Noyan, including Daratai. His son Duua now reigns, and is hated by all; to the extent that they've now forced Elective Succession on me. Seconds later, Khagichun was overthrown, but at least his claim is strong enough for me to declare war on once I've rebuilt my strength.

Meanwhile, my brother Khudiyar, Daratai's second son, has impregnated a Princess of Rome; and so my masterplan continues.

I've very deliberately cut a lot of time off working for the next few days because I want to give Aliana a proper Thanksgiving weekend to make her feel at home. It's a small tradition.

This also gives me, at long last, time to work on some goddamn posts.

While I haven't answered an issue in over two weeks, I enjoyed noticing that my Grand Holy Empire is now in the top 1% of the world for least corrupt governments.

Corruption is a key factor to any good government, as is nepotism.

What would the Medicis be without it? The Hapsburgs? The Lannisters?

I ignore them most of the time as well, though occasionally I'll humor the Barrymen in the wardrobe and answer one or two.

A lot of the time I just dismiss them since I know I don't want any of the effects they'll imbue my nation with.

I dismiss them because I can't be bothered, but when I do answer them, I just answer what I'd do and see what happens after that.

Evidently, what this reveals is that my philosophy as a ruler would be more or less "Economic Ruin".

I've noticed the results of my decisions could possibly be summed up as making my country into a massive empire of aristocratic Victorian Brits/German Mormons who love nature.

I've been meeting recently with a good friend of mine who has lived in Cambodia the last few years for humanitarian reasons, working as a teacher of sorts.

Goddamn, he's got stories.
