How are you guys? What have I missed? Has EH reached new levels of clusterfuckery? Do we have any new characters inspired on Charles Dance? Has anybody else read A Dance with Dragons?

Well, I'm fine. I just discovered the new Smash is absolutely wonderful.

I mean, I'm not sure if the gameplay is better or worse, and I couldn't give less of a fuck, but eight people can play at once.

I've begun a new CK2 game as Kitbuqa Noyan, High Chief of Aleppo, in January of 1260 - as was recommended to me by CKIIWiki.

Noyan's position is not terribly remarkable; he is a moderately-powerful chieftain just outside of Damascus, on the outer fringe of the Ilkhanate (one of the many Tengri hordes), which is attempting to press further into Syria. (Already we have besieged Damascus and stacked the heads high.) What's interesting about Noyan is the man - he's a baseborn chief, raised to his position due to the death of its prior holder's dynasty, the first of his family name.

He is also a Christian. A Nestorian, to be precise. Now, Nestorians are a somewhat prevalent minority in the Ilkhanate at the time - the heir to the throne himself, a 33-year-old by the name of Abaga, is one. (Historically speaking, Abaga would go on to become the only Christian Khagan of the Ilkhanate, his son retaining the Tengri faith.) Perhaps out of fear of the Christian influence, then, the Khagan has generally left me be.

Thus far I've conquered a neighboring chiefdom, wed the daughter of the (now conquered by Muslims) King of Armenia, killed her brother so she would get a claim, and fathered four children; a daughter Huelon (who is already hailed as the most beautiful woman in the Ilkhanate, at 3), two sons Daratai and Yedi, and another daughter whose name I didn't bother to learn because fuck her, she was born a month ago. It is 1266 and Kitbuqa is already 51 - I dread his death, as Daratai is still a toddler.

My short-term game plan is to become King of Armenia and Syria, then bullshit from there. My long-term goal is simple - betray the filthy heathen Mongols, join my Christian brothers, and turn back the pagans and Muslims both. In the name of Christ!

Mario Kart is a gateway to Hell. We stand there, staring at the raw power of bitter Japanese programmers, just children. Some would be inspired. Some would run away. And some would go mad.

That's the only one I haven't played, actually. I wanted to play Halo 3, but the disk had gotten the lamination peeled away a bit and junk got into the disk, sadly.

Others would stare from afar in bewilderment, and with a spark of curiosity, while their innocent little hands cling to the latest Pokemon.

My vengeance was painful and fiery.

I'm still disappointed they didn't include Zero, frankly.

Well, I just read they're doing Mewtwo as DLC; so I wouldn't be surprised if Zero's name came up.

From a work to a work I was led to a work."

I enjoy meta-humor and self-deprecation. Annoying, right?

Goodbye.

Well, I don't know; that's more cool shit than before. I wouldn't really describe the game as lacking for anything at the moment.
