So things we can talk about;
  • A new RP that's kind of wacky, and allows for a wide range of personas, and species.
  • Hearthwood (Continue, or reboot?)
  • Per's RP, is it coming, or is it down?
  • Werewolf (Killer's motive, why the werewolves kill)

Werewolf you say? Always amusing with active participants.
TG if you have questions about RP. If I don't know the answer, I know someone who does.

If your familiar with the Mafia style game Werewolf you have an idea of what this RP is based on, the only thing is that we wont be playing that game. Only simulating the situation portrayed in it.

This RP would be built around suspicion, and death. If you join, you'll have to be realistic in making your choices based on the knowledge your characters would know, and the relationships they have. I will however say that some, may very well know more the others.

Players will have to select one of the following classes to play as;

What each class does
Acolytes help the priest at his tasks, if something happens to the priest, one of them will take his place

Hunter
(Image)
A member of a secret society that hunts werewolves, and witches. As a hunter, you'll be investigating in search for your mark. While doing so, you'll be trying to keep your identity as hunter hidden, lest you become hunted by those you hunt.

The Priest holds holy rites, is a community leader. Can put a blessing on only one individual a day to protect them from the werewolves attack (Enemy of the Spellcasters)

The Seer
(Image)
Receives visions from the beyond and interprets them. If given the chance to read the palm of a werewolf they will recognize them as such. May receive vision of those who are about to die.

Spell caster

Werewolves

Villager
The common folk, though they can be formidable as a group.

Sub-classes
Star Crossed Lover
(Image)
Only two can exist, each of a different primarily class that is typically opposed to each other. If one is killed the other will also parish. Both will know what the other is.

I had ran something like this a long time back, and the only thing that hindered it, was one individuals unwillingness to allow their character to parish (he was the first victim the pack had chosen). I'm sure someone can use the idea. The only reason it simulated the situation, rather then actually being a game of Werewolf, was rumor that NS forbids Mafia style games. I did not fact check this at the time of my own work, but if one takes up the idea, or does something like it, they are free to do so... but I think RPers would prefer a simulation.

We had it that the pack had to kill lest they be trapped as wolves, and became uncertain if this motivation should be altered. It gave reason for the killings. The only alternative we could think of was a war between them, and the hunters. Each group trying to kill the other off, and occasionally making a mistake of identity. Such a game would end when one of the groups (Hunter, or Werewolf) where whipped out, or the conflict between the two ended. What do you think?

There is also the question of keeping the original setting, and situation;

Welcome to Lodenhan, a village secluded in Deckling Groves, a shadowy land of dark oaks, and legend. A plague hit much of the neighboring lands causing an immigration of foreigners who have made the village their home.Recently a threat has been spotted in their midst. One night a hunter was reportedly ambushed by a monstrous beast,he survived, but not for long, passing the following night. A party was sent to vanquish the beast, and upon doing so discovering with much horror that upon death this wolf like abomination slowly reverted back to a local tradesman. It was obvious, their were werewolves in their midst. Legends from the old days returned to the minds of the people; "A pack must kill each night, lest they be trapped as beasts till death consumes them." Three more deaths have since occurred, and the Mayor has called an emergency meeting of the people, to discuss a course of action. The plague is still out there, to leave the village is not an option, unless death be your wish.

Speaking of the devil, in this case me, I might have an idea for a new RP, although I'm not certain I have the time to get it off ground.

The setting would be Eastern Ukraine, set today. You could be one of three characters, all soldiers: Kiev loyalist (this includes foreign volunteers), Eastern Ukrainian rebel (striving for independence or becoming a part of Russia, your choice. You don't wish to be told what to do from Kiev anyway), and Russian soldier (volunteering, conscripted, or cossack, the later being a bit of both). It might be possible to play as a civilian as well.

Basically it would be a spiritual successor to "Burial in the Snow", with elements of "The Great Patriotic War".

We follow the story of both sides, Band of Brothers-style, as they fight in Donetsk, Luhansk, and other cities (could be fictional too). But something cuts both groups off from their lines. Something unknown, and evil. Enemy will have to work together with enemy to counter this new threat and come out alive, but will they?

Genres: War, action, drama, urban fantasy. If Perestroikavo is willing to help with monsters suiting for the setting, that would be great. I could of course google Slavic mythology, but it's always better with a first hand source.

Perestroikavo does pop in from time to time, he might help when he does. I think the RP will be successful.

Alright, so I finally discussed an afore mentioned idea with a colleague, and this is what we're thinking;

An RP set in a town distributed, and segregated not by race, but culture; and by culture, we mean something more then Brits, Germans, or Australians (none of those exist here). These cultures are built around a way of a life connected to a period in time; the upper left is a culture build around the 2000s, the upper right is a jazzy 1920s culture with a strong mafia following, to the lower right is a culture inspired by Mideval fantasy, and to the lower left is a Victorian society that houses a steampunk sub-culture popular with the younger generation (but having it's share of elders). These districts are joined at the Nexus, a great shopping, and government center where people from all four districts are allowed to mingle.

It's multi-species;
ImageImageImageImageImageImage

The RP is planed to be a kind of free form RP with a focus on interaction in the Nexus, and between players who share a culture.

Should we have a species/race list and should we add more species/races?
Also the naga playing table tennis by herself is kinda cute :3

Well. I was bound to show up here at some point. Because this is what inspired my Council of the Multiverse. Thank ye. And now I apply:

Nation Name: The Templar High Council. AKA: Temp.
Interests/Genres/Fandoms: Lots. Video games, sci-fi, high fantasy, low fantasy, crime, etc. Action is preferred, but a really smart RP is something I can't turn down.
Will not participate in: Complicated things I've no interest in learning, nation RPs (unless I get some training). I'll pretty much try anything once.
Activity (how often you post): Quite. Until school resumes, that is.
Time Zone (optional): EST, or whatever you prefer to call East Coast USA.
Do you hope to contribute?: Hell yeah.
RP Example (If this is your first write an average post): I put current RPs in my sig. Need more, just ask.

Let us begin, or just expand as the OOC gets hits.

It's been suggested that we have a list of races. I'm considering that we can make it more freeform by allowing customization of the established races (making their traits stronger, or weaker in a character; the ability to pick, and choose traits).

Well, what about Halflings and Gnomes...
Vampires?

Also, should we develop the magic system, or just have it be fairly simple (Pehaps the four elements and some sort of healing, Arcane stuff and necromancy/dark arts)

Interesting...

Customization of established races sounds better IMO. Do you mean slight variations on one race (ex: different colors, reduced sense of smell, increased vision, etc), or different races based on one (ex: different types of elves)?

Customization of established races sounds better IMO. Do you mean slight variations on one race (ex: different colors, reduced sense of smell, increased vision, etc), or different races based on one (ex: different types of elves)?

Slight variations in one race, from colors, senses, to physical attributes such as the senses, and appendages.

Yeah. Like this more than stoic races that are all the same being with different personalities..
