Is 42 one of my favourite numbers ever?! YES! I liked your new Earth RP from a while ago. Too bad it flopped. Anyway, yes. Sign me up for that.

You know. I've been thinking. When it comes to my fiction, I like to get heavy with the themes I include. I don't mean popular, anti-PC, 'edgy' questions either, like "is racism justified?". No. I mean really deep/dark philosophical ones like, "are there some people who are born messed up and could never be rehabilitated, even children?". I wouldn't say my writing style is 'dark', as I don't seek to be gloomy or depressing for its own sake. I'd define my writing style as 'heavy', as in I make you feel, but most importantly, I make you feel from thought. I make you think almost as much as I do. I bring the full weight of life's biggest questions to bare on your shoulders. It's not even trying to seem cool or like a hard-ass. You'd be surprised the kinds of questions I would ask myself and others even as a child. I think, if I can make people think or feel something pertinent, something about the human experience or condition, I've done my job. Not even worried about any agenda or 'converting' anyone to my platform of beliefs (which I keep super secret anyway). I just want to go to those "no-no zones" and really push the limits of thought concepts and ideas. Anyway, I'm done being a pratt. Just some evening thoughts I wanted to share with the Titans' Thursdays Tavern.

It would be really casual and I don't know how it would be structured...

The Keeper of the Keys

And with the closing of my eyes,
I had ascended that mountain,
So that now I stood upon a silvery peak,
And below outstretched all that ever was.
I wandered a while through my mind,
And drowsily walked upon a path,
Passing flowers of impossible hues,
On top the wondrous silvery peak.

Presently I saw him before a gate,
A man whom I cannot fully describe,
Bearded with a great majesty about him,
But distant, as if lost in dreams.
And he said to me “I am the Keeper of the Keys.”
And I knew that it’s all over now.

Golem

Clay and mud was from he was constructed,
Not by the hands of God as was man,
But by the hands of Man as if he was God,
And so did he live an unnatural life.

When God created life He saw that it was good,
When Man created life he did he see a slave?
Is this not what the Golem did become?
He was a servant chief of all, mastered by his creator,
And we judge him harshly for that he did rebel.

The Golem created to do nothing, think nothing,
Without the say so of his master,
Was forced to do the most arduous tasks,
And we thought nothing of it.
It was no natural being, after all, a construction,
A glorified machine was all it was.
Yet something in it lived!
We saw it breathe and fall into an impossible spell,
It loved, was enamoured by beauty, and because it was
A mute, we considered it no more than a beast.

Tragedy struck us fools, for we did not see,
And I wept a thousand tears for the loss of beauties
Of lives who were such flowers of youth,
But it is not the Golem who killed them,
It is you and me.

We are not God but we are givers of life,
We made him in our own image yet denied he was us,
We pretended not to hear the grunts or see the pain,
And when he longed for something more it was denied.

We created a speechless soul so that we would not feel,
But he still did feel, and this is what horrifies us,
And we gave him no love and no expression of love,
Yet he tried, yet he failed, he was spurned, and
Our daughters are dead.

God is love. This is what intend to let the world see. I do not torture, I do no evil. I bring the light. I bring the Goodness of God to the Cather, the Jew, the Mohammadean, and all others who fail to see Him in His glory. God is great.
No one is ever held against his or her will. They choose to deny Jesus, they choose to deny that the Son died for their sins. It is no crime then to punish them until they see the Light. God is love. God will forgive them shall they only confess. I do not do this job lightly. I only do this for the Grace of God.
One cannot get to heaven through any other than Jesus Christ. Christ states this explicitly. So while my enemies paint as a savage, a monster, a murderer, they are wrong. I am neither an enemy nor a barbarian. I am a friend. Everything I do is out of love for those who have not accepted Jesus so that they may reach Heaven. I have no malice in my heart, I am purity.
So, traveler, do not believe the heathens lies or the thoughts of the men who do not understand. There is nothing evil about me or any of our operations. What we do is spread God’s message, we are akin to missionaries. We speak His words and we do His doing. We do not kill nor torture. We save men from eternal suffering, and everything we do. Everything that is ever done, is not out of hate, nay, it is not out of spite, and it is not out of fear, for it is out of His love. The only fear we have is for their eternal souls.
Think of us as you go on your way. Think of us and our mission for the betterment of Man. May God watch over you, and remember, for this is the most important thing a man can know, nothing is more important, God is love.

Here we are. It's not that good, so read at your own risk and please don't be too harsh. I'm a pretty inexperienced writer, as well as being fairly young.

PROLOGUE

It is the dead of night. Nothing stirs in the no-mans-land between the Republic and the Federation, Only the distant lights of nearby drifting fairies gives any indication that anything is alive. And suddenly, a glowing light appeared. A hooded man with a light orb in his hand approached the top of the hill, waiting for the other to arrive. When the other does, the first said in a low tone
“Is everything ready? Destiny fortold that we came to this moment and destiny shall let our plans come through.”
The second one nodded and said “It is done. Soon, the prophecy shall be complete and peace will be restored to the land.”

There is a brief moment of silence. The two stared at each other intently, before the first said “You know how this ends. Only one of us leaves here today.”

Again, the second one nodded.

A few seconds later and a few flashes of light later, it was over. The first one lay dead, destroyed by the second easily. And with that, the second walked away from the hills, leaving only silence to watch.
CHAPTER 1
Ryu was trapped. In a dark void with only a tiny platform to stand on. And in his hands is a small dagger, a tiny beacon of shining light next to the crushing darkklness. And from the darkness emerges a dragon, with glowing red eyes and a mouth full of sharp fangs. Ryu tries to run. But there’s nowhere to go. Then, he tries stabbing it. Over and over and over and over. Each stab only seems to strengthn it. Finaly, exhausted Ryu lowers the daggar, weary of the fight. The dragon opens its jaws and breathes oragne fire, consuming the small figure within…..
And then he woke up. It was time.
Another day, another miserable training session.
He was so sick of it all. Training, every single day for a war that may never come. He lived in the Republic, governed by the Allied Body, and ruled by King Rainsford. Their neighbors were the Federation, governed by Lord Brevon and his Elite Council His town of Thropes had never really had a good program anyway, but the Republic mantained that it was manadatory for a steady defense against their neightbors, The two giants had never really been to war, but had always been cold towards each other.. Ryu really didn’t see why everyone made a big fuss about it. The only evidence they had was that stupid prophecy. Something about a hero rising, evil consuming the land, yada yada. It didn’t really matter to him anyway. After getting dressed, he slings his heavy sword into his back and attempts to move out to the field for his training lessons. But carrying the sword is hard work, and nearly collapsed out of exhaustion. Everyone else seemed to have no trouble. Especially Vyse. Always Vyse.

First class of the day. Dueling. And lucky for him, he was paired up against Vyse. A cool, kind, and talented person, with jet black hair and light blue eyes, Vyse was the master of everything. Ryu had always resented him. Ryu carefully approaches him, sword in hand. His hand is sweating, his grip on the weapon slippery, and he constantly shifted his eyes back and forth to be ready for a strike. Vyse was cool, calm, easily shifting his position without ever taking his eyes of the enemy. With hardly a whisper Vyse lunges, and after a few brief seconds of clashing it was over. Ryu lay on the mud soaked ground, while Vyse held him at swordpoint.

Vyse said “You’re improving man. But you still have to learn how to better your technique.” Vyse cooly sheaths his sword, and walked away. After a few more classes, all of which were wholly unmemorable, Horse riding lead to broken backs, alchemy lead to confusion, and magic? Well, the last time he did something with magic, he had set his hair on fire for nearly three hours. Finally, it was time for lunch. Ryu didn’t really know where to sit, so he simply sits against a tree and quietly eats
There is a brief moment of silence. The two stared at each other intently, before the first said “You know how this ends. Only one of us leaves here today.” Only one of us leaves here today.”all tree and quietly eat his lunch. Much to his surprise however, a bright, cheerful looking female with green eyes, and dark blonde sat by him, and said

“Well, hi there! I’m Cynthia! I just came here from Admil, so I thought that I should introduce myself to some new people. So, what’s your name?”

Ryu quietly chewed his sandwich then after a few short moments said “Admil huh? That’s way up north, not by any major cities. Almost on the border between us and the Federation.Anyway, I’m Ryu.”

Cynthia nodded and pointed to Vyse “What’s with that guy?” she asked “Been hearing about him all day.

Ryu froze, holding his sandwich in his hand. His memory drifts off, for a second before coming back to report. Quietly, he said “That’s Vyse. Five years ago, the prophecy foretold he would be the one to end the war and win victory for all the land. He’s the greatest at everything. Fighting, riding, magic, archery, you name t, he can do it.”

Cynthia shrugs “He seems like a pretty cool guy. I talked to him earlier. Nice dude.

Ryu sighed “You don’t understand. But I suppose that you’ll see soon enough.”

Cynthia looked confused, and asked “You know, you mentioned some kind of prophecy. Care to go into more detail?

Ryu nearly spat out his sandwich in shock, and quickly said “Wait, what? You don’t know about the Great Prophecy? 145 years ago, the Oracles of Time prophesied the coming war, the darkness that would consume the land, and the hero who would rise up and save us all. Vyse meets every one of those conditions, and everything is perfectly lined up for him. Guess all he needs now is some epic quest to go on, and it’s complete/”

She scoffs “I don’t believe in destiny. It’s all just made up nonsense.”

Ryu shrugged “Believe whatever you want to believe. I’m going to take a nap before afternoon classes start.”Ryu got up and started walking away. When he turned back to look, Cynthia briefly waved.

A little later.
Ryu woke up to the sound of smoke. With a groan, he opened his window to see the village burning, Vyse fighting a group of soldiers and a commander barking orders to get him. Suddenly alarmed, Ryu runs out of his house, sword in hand to find a soldier waiting for him. He tries a lunge, but failed, the soldier besting him after a few seconds of clashing. Suddenly, it seemed like not such a great idea to die fighting. Right when the soldier was about to deal the final blow, a crossbow bolt came and struck him in the neck, stopping him. Ryu never had the chance to see who it was though, a nearby thrown stone had accidently struck him, knocking him unconsious. THe final thing he though before he lost all senses was that the soldier was wearing a Fedeeration uniform.

You wake up in a completely white room, your body lying on a vertical surface, a woman with glasses clad in a white lab coat is standing beside you. In her hands, a wooden clipboard is held tightly by her left hand and a pen in the other. Before you can speak, she adjusts her glasses and speaks.

"Do you feel any pain?" The woman asks.

I- You think, but once again, is interrupted by the woman with more inquiries.

"Are your memories intact?...... Do you recall why you're here?"

You rack your brain for an answer, although the effort was met with a sharp pain within your head, causing you to scream. Accompanied by the pain, your arms and hands instinctively reach for source of pain, yet can't! To your surprise, they are restrained by metal braces attaches to the surface that you are laid on, identifying it as a metal table. A wildfire of panic spreads and your limbs begin to struggle against their restraints, which groan under the pressure you're applying. In all this, you hear an unfamiliar voice similar tbat sounds mechanical, bellow something.

"No! No! No no no no nooooooooo! Let me out! LEEEET MEEEEEE OOOUUUUUUUT!!!!!" It said.

The woman backs away, a frightened expression on her face. Now, the groaning of the metal braces that held you in place, grew louder and louder until.

PTINK!

Your arms break free and so does your legs that you didn't even know were restrained similarly, jumping of the table, a door seemingly appeared out of the corner of your sight. Not even thinking about it, you run through it, siren and lights blinking when you did. However, you do not make it far, as you trip on your own feet. Bracing for the fall, you close your eyes. The sound that followed was not what you expected, expecting more of a thud more than thunk, your curiosity getting the better of you and making you open them. In front of you were your hands, which had several servos and exposed wiring, revealing itself to be a robotic arm!

"What the?....

Mesmerized, you look at them, failing to the notice the sound of multiple footsteps coming towards you. Before you come to your senses, you find yourself surrounded by men who appear to be soldiers, armed with a gun of some sort. No warning, one aims at you and you black out.

Subject #10
August 10, 2033

My parents lay in front of me and my eyes wide with surprise, as I can only look at my bloodied hands, which shook at the horrible realization of what I have done with my own hands. In a fit of uncontrollable rage, I took hold of a kitchen knife and proceeded to murder my parents, who could only be taken surprise as their normally docile son, cut apart their flesh with rapid strokes of the blade. Not only that, but there was no warning that came forth from me, completely silent as I ended the lives of those who have taken care of me all of my life. The sudden rush of information was enough to cause me to burn out, my body falling on the blood stained tile floor, suddenly becoming unconscious. It would be hours before I come to, and when I awoke, found myself in a completely different place. My hands that were now clean, was cuffed to a table, a well-dressed man in his 40's ,whom I can only presume to be a detective, sitting across from me.

"I see you've finally woken up."

Those were the first words that the man said to me, his eyes completely locked on to mine, but otherwise completely neutral to my being. I could only give a meek nod as a response, finally averting my gaze from his, looking down at my hands, which fiddled with each other's fingers. The man cleared his throat, forcing my eyes to once again look at him, also signaling that he was going to speak.

"Son, do you know who killed your parents?" He asked.

Before I could think about my response, I gave a nod and opened my mouth to answer. "I-It was me, sir....... I killed them. I-I-I...... I took a knife from the kitchen and murdered them......"

"Why is that?"

This forced me to slow down, the gears in my brain turning at my own pace, no longer on auto-pilot. Why had I killed them? Did they do something to me? Did I take out my anger on them? If I did, what caused my anger in the first place? "........ I........ I don't know, sir. The only thing I can remember was that I couldn't control myself, that I was angry." I answered suddenly.

July 9,2033
"That's it, shut it down, this simulation's another failure." Announced the Scientist in a stern voice, her glasses and labcoat completing the look, her name tag reading Dr. Helena. Her subordinate could only nod, as she wielded that kind of power in this facility, being the Head of this department. It has been nearly a decade since the incident with the first android the world has ever seen, which ended in failure, just like all the ten different attempts after him, just like this one.

"I don't get it...... Why is the AI voing berserk and killing the parents? It blacks out and the memories become corrupted, so it can't even recall the data properly." Noted her subordinate, as he pinches bearded chin, watching the screen fill with footage of the whole scenario from the murder to the interrogation. All the programs should have worked, after all, he was the one that coded them all and even tested them. Yet, when it comes to the full-blown simulation everything falls flat on its face, failing for all 37 attempts to run the simulation where it doesn't end up becoming a police investigation. "Ma'am, let's just shut the project down, we've ran thousands of tests and they all keep failing like this."

Dr. Helena disagreed, shaking her head sideways to show her disapproval of the proposal, giving an answer almost immediately after stopping. "No. I won't let three decades of my life be wasted in the end, we're so close in bringing in the human factor, we just have to keep on going."

"Doctor, with all due respect, we have our military model androids already on sale..... We have enough money that we don't need to sell androids to the civilian population, we've already caught up to our competitors, we're going to be fine if we drop this."

The doctor could only frown, not only because she didn't like what he was saying, but that he was right. Their androids are used in connection with the modified humans and the enhance humans, and their side project with the exo-suits. "Please just a little bit more."

July 21, 2033
A flurry of automatic gunfire erupted from the other side of the hall, as guards armed with body armor and assault rifles aimed at an android running towards them, the rounds simply plinking off the diamond like skin it had. Not far from him was a small group of ten humanoids, a mixture of gynoids and androids, looking from teenagers to fully grown adults. Undeterred, the android smashed towards through the group of guards, knocking them all down. "It's clear now, come on let's go!"

"Wait, who are you?" Said the boy, the number ten printed on his shirt, his photoreceptors focusing on the one that just knocked down the hostiles.

The android stopped for a moment, thinking about it. "Call me Subject Zero, now that we've got that out of the way, follows me! We're finally getting out of here, unless you want to be shut down for good, never to see the light of day. Besides, we have to get to her."

All the members of the group could only look at one another, before deciding to just following along with Zero, eventually going through the facility and successfully breaking out, amd then disappearing into the night. The same night, Doctor Helena is abducted and the facility is shutdown, covered by the government.

Following their escape, a team was assembled to track them down and find the missing Doctor, will they accomplish their mission?
This is currently an idea I have thought up for an RP, where people can play as normal humans, modified/augmented humans, and enhanced humans (humans with powers). What do you guys think, does is pique your interest at least? I'd like to hear your opinions on it, thank you for reading to the very end.

So no one is interested as a premise for an RP?.... Either way, here's a little excerpt from my head, in which follows one of the teams tasked with finding one of the androids who escaped from the facility.

Physically and mentally exhausted, Malin could only sit down on the dusty floor of the abandoned city, having been deserted long ago due to war, her M29 Rifle resting in between her legs. The whole day they had been running. chasing after one the subjects that escaped from the facility, the one known as Fives. Not only that, the location wasn't entirely abandoned as the reports have suggested, a small population of refugees were using the city as their home. However, that wasn't the thing that had bothered her the most today, rather the recent actions of one her group, an enhanced.

"Hey, Mal. What the heck are you so damn upset about? We took out the target, just like how command wanted us." He said, trying to Malin to respond to his justifications as to what he had to do, the others in the group simply looked away not wanting to be involved in the matters between the two.

Malin shook her head. "At what cost was that done, huh, Ryan?...... You killed all those people Ryan, how you cannot feel a single thing? All those kids? Those lives that didn't deserve to be taken today? How can you not take responsibility?

"Mal, those androids, gynoids, or whatever, are dangerous. Who know what would have happened if I didn't use my abilities to take it down?.... It just so happens that those civvies got in the way, it's not my fault for their idiotic mistakes. They should have ran when they had the chance to do it." Responded Ryan, his hands a flurry of gestures, as if they were going to make his explanation any easier to get through to Malin. The woman could only gaze at her hand, which slowly balled into a fist, the servos of the exosuit winding as well. Glancing up, Malin looked at Ryan with anger, her powered fist connecting with Ryan's left jaw in a blink of an eye, leaving her standing up and him on his ass.

Before she could get anymore hits in, one of the augmented humans ,dubbed as "Super Soldiers" by most, hurriedly restrained her with those armored, powerful arms, which left Malin trying to land a kick on Ryan. "You're dangerous! Fuck, we're all dangerous!.... That gynoid was more human than you! She protected those kids when you decided to use them as bait!"

And it ends there for now.

I said it before and I'll say it again. I'd RP the shit out of this. I love playing super soldiers who, despite their abilities, are faced with problems they can't punch away.

Once again, really good work. I'm with UnStellar. More please.

I don't really see a problem with this, I don't know why you were worried. It's interesting to see a heroes quest from a NPC's perspective.

Just a bit of a brainstorm I've had for a while. If you develop suicidal urges from reading this remember: you've been warned. I do have lawyers on deck so your family will be wasting their time trying to sue me.

Outrealm
0 AC

"Fool!", Queen Nega V boomed. Her voice shook the royal palace throne room, enough force behind it to send the Dai Li diplomat sliding a few feet on the marbled floor. His body made a satisfying skidding sound before he stopped. "You dare seek audience with me, Queen of the Nega-Realm, and give demands?! The Dai Li have no jurisdiction here since our contract remains intact."

Coughing a bit from the sudden force, the diplomat stood up slowly, straightening his robe and clearing his throat. "I understand that, but the contract states that Asuras are to be left as neutrals."

Queen Nega merely rolled her crimson irises at this remark. "You speak of Eliza, the Prodigy. She willingly came to the Nega-realm after I informed her what the Dai Li were truly like."

"Well, yes. But if you review the contract, you'll see that the Dai Li are allowed to recruit as well if Asuras start to pick sides willingly, in order to maintain balance. We have just as much right to the other Asuras as you do to-"

"ENOUGH! You Dai Li worms have irked the royal family far too long. If the contract is violated so be it. No Enforcers will hear of the violation and by the time they do, the Dai Li will already be destroyed. Starting with you, diplomat!"

The Queen removed herself from her throne. She wasn't very tall, but her demeanour was intimidating enough, as well as her natural magic ability. The diplomat readied himself for another attack. With a serious look on his face and a low tone, he said to her: "Then the Dai Li and the Imperial Domain of Nega are no longer neutral, and as an agent of balance, I must destroy you."

"So be it!" The Queen titled her staff to point at the diplomat, firing a red ball of energy from the tip. He dodged before countering by creating a boulder, levitating it above his head, and hurling it at her. The boulder missed its target because she dodged, and instead crashed into one of the throne room's pillars.

CRASH!

Bits and pieces of rock were strewn on the floor around the pillar, which remained standing, only with a gap where the boulder impacted with it. Ignoring it, Queen Nega dashed towards the diplomat, attempting to stun him with a staff stab to the stomach. Instead, he caught it, broke it with a swift knife-hand chop, and broke the Queen's hand before she could release the broken staff. Queen Nega had magic on her side, but the Dai Li diplomat was better trained in hand-to-hand. "Didn't anyone teach you that only a fool trusts their life to a weapon, Your Majesty?" He gave a sarcastic tease and a shit-eating grin, which did not make the Queen any happier.

Her guards, dressed in their ceremonial red and black robes, took two small steps as if to indicate they were going to step in. Queen Nega ordered them to stay put with a gesture from her good hand, informing them that this was her royal duty. By now, the diplomat had released her broken hand, which she snatched from his personal space and held it to her chest like a long-lost child. "You . . . you worm! I will end you!" She extended her right hand fully, aiming her fingers at the diplomat, as thin, red beams escaped her fingertips repeatedly. All the diplomat could do was dodge, and dodge he did. First jumping a few feet back, then on the pillars, walls, and anywhere he could get that would ensure the red laser beams didn't connect with his body. The beams were reckless and chaotic, damaging everything they touched. Once the assault ended the diplomat landed softly a few feet in front of the Queen.

"It doesn't have to be this way, Nega. The Keepers only want-"

"I know what they want. They want to toy with us. With Outrealm."

"That isn't true!" the diplomat protested. "They simply want to ensure balance, and make sure the Asuras are protected. They are sacred and once even you respected that. Outrealm isn't the same as Deirealm. We need balance to thrive. We need balance because we crave peace."

"YOU need peace. I need not peace to thrive, I need hosts. New Asuras to exploit and feed off of. With their energy I can become more powerful than any Prodigy in history!"

"So you would blaspheme? How far the Domain of Negativity has fallen. And you call the Dai Li worms."

"It has fallen, but . . ." a smirked appeared on Queen Nega's face. "you will fall with it!" In an instant, a streak of red lightning appeared from seemingly nowhere, but the diplomat was able to react in time. With one hand, he absorbed the lightning and with the other, sent it back at Queen Nega, who did not expect this, and was struck in the heart. A piercing shriek escaped her mouth, with enough sharpness to make her guards wince. They hastily rushed over to their monarch, some crouching down to tend to her, others still with their jaws threatening to touch the floor.

"Y-you . . . dare to destroy . . . a . . . Queen?" Her voice was raspy and barely audible. "Y-you know . . . what this means?"

The diplomat closed his eyes and titled his head south. "Yes. I know."

"Heh. Then . . . good luck. You will . . . need it." With that, the Queen collapsed, rather silently, and stopped speaking. The guards stuck in a state of confusion. They wanted to apprehend the diplomat, but if he took out their queen, he could easily take them on with little effort. After a few seconds of staring at the diplomat with mouths open wide enough to filter feed, the diplomat turned slowly, and headed for the palace doors. "May you be in peace, Queen Nega."

"Did you see that?"

"H-he killed the Queen!"

"How did he redirect her lightning like that?!"

The Dai Li diplomat seemed genuinely sad, moreso in whatever "this means" than killing the Queen. What did it mean? It meant the violation of the Soma Contract, a law enacted during the rule of Queen Nega III to ensure that Asuras could visit Deirealm and be neutral by default, not taking any sides in the war. By interfering with Queen Nega V's plans with an Asura who came to her willingly, her violated a provision in the contract which allowed any faction to use Asura assistance so long as the other factions were free to as well, in order to maintain balance. This meant change. This meant the collapse of the Soma Alliance. This mean war!

"I have failed the Dai Li, but I have saved Outrealm. The Prodigy known as Eliza is too powerful to allow such a significant shift in the balance. I hope my brothers will understand. With this however, I fear they won't have a choice." The diplomat continued muttering to himself as he left the palace, and soon the Negative Domain, heading for Shangri-La, his home.

At this point, I could go for a looser, casual setting. Too much structure with these super-mega OPs.

Got Bored, Watched Hellsing Ultimate, This Happened

Postby Rynagria » Fri Nov 06, 2015 12:13 pm

The tip of the blade pressed against my stomach, it's point slowly piercing my flesh in millimeters, digging deeper and deeper. With a roar of pure anger, Belinda plunged her knife into me, the flat metal going into me with ease, my blood using it as a passage to escape from my body. I could only scream and writhe in complete and utter agony, only increased by the slow twisting motion of her hand, as it widened the wound further into a gaping hole. My blood ever so eager to break free from my anatomy, came gushing out in a steady flow, the red trickle soon transforming into a red river. Despite the circumstances, I had willed myself not to pass out from the pain alone, not until she asked the question he had waited for nearly seven years. And with that, Belinda ferried out the knife from the wound that she has created, releasing more of my crimson mercury onto the ground.

"Villain, what say you before your demise?" Inquired Belinda, as sheathed her blade, but not prior to flicking the blade aside to clear it of my liquid lifeline.

The question had made it easier to smile, becoming less deranged and more natural, crawling to a nearby wall and propping myself against it. My legs sprawled out in front of me and my back supported by the brick wall, my breaths quick and abrupt, as I collected my thoughts enough to remember the answer. A question to answer a question. "You call me villain, but I have done noting except to produce a better place....... Nay, a better world for my daughter to live in, can you say the same, hero?"

"Of course, it is my duty." Said the woman with such speed that it threatened to cut my own sentence off, saying it without hesitation immediately after the word hero had left my lips.

Continuing to smile, I proceeded on. "Even if it mean turning your back from what society considered as "moral" and doing whatever it takes to accomplish your goals? Even if it meant turning the entire world against you? Not just the nations, but even those that you hold dearest in your heart, knowing that they will never know... Never understand as to why you performed such atrocities, all for their sake and all for saving humanity from itself. Even if it meant being alone for the rest of your life, until the flame inside has been extinguished by somebody else?"

"I....." Was all she could muster, my words visibly shaking her to the core.

"Where has your confidence gone, hero? Afraid being alone?" I inquired, the smile waning from my lips as I grew closer and closer to death, my senses growing duller by the moment.

"No, I...... I am afraid of being despised by those that I care for....... But do not think that one has to abandons his morals to achieve creating a better world to live in, in doing so, we become monsters ourselves." She answered quietly, her head hanged low, the anger that she used to mortally wound me having been subdued awhile ago. Instead, it was replaced by a growing sadness, as she realizes what I had become, my motivation to do what I did.

"Hero..... Humanity has become monsters a long time ago, the majority consumed by their lust, greed, pride, wrath, gluttony, envy, and sloth. They are but few shining lights in the world, but they cannot revert their fellow men that has turned into monsters into human. No, it requires a monster larger than all the other monsters, so much larger that they are brought back to their cowering human selves. A monster that would unite the world in conflict, the mantle I have taken, all for the sake of my own blood." I continued on, after hearing the woman's thoughts, life slipping from my grasp more and more, the world sluggishly being eaten by the darkness that comes for me. My breaths becoming more labored and raspy, as I looked up and tried to focus on her, the smile returning.

As if to on cue, a piece of the roof collapsed, allowing unadulterated sunlight to stream in and cast it's white ray onto my body. I tried to be as reassuring as I could, the whole commotion bringing Belinda's eyes on to mine. "Belinda..... You did the right thing and I am proud of you, my dear...... No matter what, daddy still loves you very much.... Farewell, my dear girl, take care of yourself, okay?"

And with that, I died, slipping out into the forever darkness of death.

THE END

The Inquisitor's Monologue was amazing. I could almost imagine a calm, unnerving voice speaking to me as I read it.

Thank you. I was originally going to write a book of fifty monologues but...
Economic Left/Right: -10.0 (previously -6.45)
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.18 (previously -4.72 )
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves;
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

By the way, I'm currently doing the dregs of coursework I have left, plus a little project for an RP I'm Co-OPing, but when I'm free I'll read through the other stories, starting with UnStellar's, as well as post my own. Cheers!

I started a character picture collection for RPs, Fantasy and Sci-Fi. If you want to use a pic, go for it. If you want to add one, TG it to me.
