They may not be as popular, but do exist, often as half Vampires (which would be considered Vampires in this game). We could continue to have the Ageless attribute (just leave out the With a Condition aspect), and add another attribute (Mortal) that it conflicts with, though it does lesson the uniqueness of being unaging, and if ti's just any blood, makes it confusing.

I don't think it makes it confusing, as long as a vampire consumes humanoid blood they won't age. We could have the distinction of immortal and mortal related to bloodlines. There are ancient "royal" vampire bloodlines, vampires created from these are immortal. Vampires created from corrupted "common" bloodlines are mortal. I'd say royal vampires are those born to two vampire parents, or bitten by a royal vampire. Common vampires are born to only one vampire parent, or bitten by a common vampire. How about this:

Royal Blood- Coming from a royal vampire bloodline, you ceased to age upon adulthood, and will never die from age or sickness.
Common Blood- Coming from a common vampire bloodline, you are mortal and will age, living something close to a normal lifespan for your species.

Scrap the Royal title, and replace it with True Blood (representing a pure bloodline), and we have it made. We should probably state just how one becomes a vampire. Simply being bitten would make it an epidemic, so their has to be more to it then that. Being born one is a give me, but the transformed into one has to have more to it.

Maybe Blue Blood, or Pure Blood is better then calling it True blood... that's kind of a title for a... werewolf film I think.

I like Pure Blood. Perhaps some sort of dark ritual?

That could work... but it gives the Vampires a dark edge some players may not desire, like affiliation with evil forces of the spirit world. An alternative would be the exchange of blood, which might involved a dark ritual if the Vampire conducting the rite so desires; like a pact to ensure loyalty.

Isn't that about as easy as being bitten? I figured vampirism was a blood borne disease. I'd just say the vampire population is kept under control because they don't want to get people all riled up, and risk them attacking and killing all vampires.

One could go that route... and it would fit with an older concept I had for the world (a secret Libertarian police state)... I've just been trying to shy away from that, as it's highly disturbing.

The blood exchange idea came from Cirque Du Freak. The only reason I didn't choose being bitten, is because a vampire has to feed, in order to survive, and not all are Vegie Vampires. Thus if just being bitten was all it took (like being a werewolf in some Wolfman feature), it'd spread, and their would need to be a high level of totalitarian control on the population, or the complete extermination of their kind (yes, I'm feeling cold, and I realize that was harsh). The blood exchange would involve the silting of a vien in both participants, and the joining of blood.

Perhaps we shouldn't worry about attributes for humans, and just ask people to describe their character. Because humans are so variable.

That... sounds perfect (I'd put a smiley here but it's smile is too big lol )

That's what I had originally intended for all the races... that their wouldn't be a list, and players would discribe who, and what they are. However this list has helped to insure that nothing conflicts; like one character doesn't state this about their race, and it not apply to another of the same race. It also will prevent us from having to say no to invented background on a race, and so forth.

I'll remove the Driven attribute, as it's something anyone could be. Which was kind of what I was going for, that one could be anyone they wanted to be (with in reason).

For the Fey, I've got the following (and I do apologize for how cold I was)

Fey
  • Fairy Wings: Wings so you can flutter.
  • Invisibility: Fey can become invisible to all none Fey, but only while standing still.
  • Iron Allergy: Fey has an allergic reaction to Iron dust, and Iron. It causes their skin to become irritated, them to sneeze, and interrupts their innate magics.
  • Lightfooted: Fey are acrobatic and athletic, easily performing feats that would put a human in the hospital
  • Marksman: From slings, to bows, to rifles, elves seem to have an uncanny ability to shoot accurately, with minimal training.
  • Natural Order: Elves have a strange connection to nature. Plants react strangely to an elf's presence, and animals are often kind.
  • Shrink: Fey has the ability to shrink in size, and return to their normal size at will.

I couldn't think of any specific magics to give them.

Nah. I side on vampires in that debate. And humans are never a bad choice.

Ok. I also wanted to ask if the Nexus is the only way to travel between districts? Are these districts physically connected, or are they in different dimensions or something and connected by the Nexus?

They are walled off from each other, but joined by a central structure known as the Nexus. It's the only way between districts. The Nexus is the government center of Atlas City, and functions as a kind of mall (food courts, stores, dance spots, and the government taking place in the upper levels).
