Nations fight each other for land, power, resources and prestige and others cheer them on or fight by their side for a piece of the glory. It is here, in the year of Our Lord 1861, that the World has stumbled upon multiple conflicts erupting at the same time. In the Americas, the United States stands divided as her Western most states rally together behind a banner of independence - their insatiable hunger being fuelled by Europeans on the Old Continent. In isolationist Japan, the Otomo aim to reform their nation to their Christian ways and remove the stance of singularity - to become members of the wider World. It is here in which you are tasked with the options before you - what will you do in these troubled times?

Kinda both. You have autonomy and relative diplomatic independence, but you're tied to Britain. You can theoretically do anything, but Britain reserves the right to override your decisions. In the sense of the RP though, the British player will be somewhat restricted from doing this.

Almost indefinitely. I suspect that Canada could push it's claims on Columbia/Oregon or on Northern Maine.
