Changing the subject because I don't want to be attacked to have freedom, if I would play a trade/sea based nation, could I make small bases on the map where I have small castles/towns/trade posts? I ask this because I want to feel my presence as a trade nation, but I don't/can't take the rest of the province when that province is gigantic, because it just wouldn't be realistic.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'll either be a confederation of Californian Maritime Republics (look at that sea!) or a Siberian Chinese Dynasty trying to reconquer the homeland.

Interesting... I can state right now that I'm still interested, but where are we in the talk. Are we still going with the whole, 1400s tech thing?

Ok got it, thanks.
Idk if I should go with a Venice like nation based around Greece/turkey and then eventually either expand inland into greece and turkey and make byzantium or expand into Southern Italy/sicily, Palestine, Lebanon, the shores of Turkey, Syria, Egypt and Lybia ; to go with a Cambodian Empire with bayonets that venerates it's king as a god, with a court full of plots, where the king will strive to maintain controll over the nobility while he tries to achieve his goal of conquering all of Indochina ; or with a Kazakhstan based Grand Duchy of Moskow style that will eventually try to establish Russia.

I plan on re-apping for Armenia which had the Caucasus region and part of southern Russia, not that I object to your plans, just letting you know. :)

Also, Australia is strange; where I live, at least, is marked cooler, while parts of the interior are still hot despite the new inland sea that would no doubt cool things greatly.

Wait, are you confused because its 80 degree weather in Shanxi and Guangzhou? I kinda don't get what you're saying.

I'm confused that Shanxi and Guangzhou have the same temperatures, I suppose you could say. Guangzhou is often sweltering, whereas Shanxi often sees snow and ice.

For world creation in detail, I suggest we reference this (Not the concept, the thought put into detailing the effects of terrain on climate), for general ideas of how to analyze the cause effect relations of our world regarding land and higher temps/ sea levels.

The reboot, not ze current one. Depending on how much it isolates players though, it may be better to evolve tech up again

Oh. Hmm. 7th century doesn't make much sense IMO, especially technology is not necessarily an equal linear progression.

After the fall, I can see several things dissapearing, but I think the world would still live in the legacy of globalization, and at the very least people would try to communicate over long distances with given means.

Surely it's not necessary to take a point in history for the tech? I don't think it's unreasonable to suppose that primitive steam technology would be available, alongside primitive gunpowder technology, but the existence of advanced religions, administrations and political systems.
