Aww, thanks
Also, the world for Falling Skies may be different. My WIP scenario goes like this: In the late 2020's/early 2030's, mankind has perfected Artificial Intelligence, and is on the cusp of a technological revolution. The world economies tie themselves into computers and other advanced methods. What could go wrong with a digitalized economy? Everything. A strange virus occurs in the World AI. Economies are crippled, as international mega-unions begin to blame each other. NATO (now including Mexico) goes to war with the Eurasian Union. Amid the chaos, nuclear weapons are somehow used. The two sides collapse, as the rest of the world falls into anarchy. The once shining new machines and civilizations left behind are abandoned, and are destined to decay.
The world is quieter now. No more civilization, and a new Dark Age grips the world. People struggle to survive, being so accustomed to living with machines. Most die from the rampant disease and warfare. The few millions left begin their best attempts to form nations, based on the old ones they lost. Many fail, but some manage to take hold in this new, cruel world.
Centuries pass. Humans exist in a state of primal savagery for a long time. The ice caps, destroyed by decades of global warming, steadily flood the world. Climates change worldwide. Now it is the year 4500 AD. The ocean has swallowed much of the Earth, drastically changing the climate. Now it is a new world. A new agricultural revolution is spreading in certain places around the globe. New technologies and ways of living are being discovered. This is when our RP, Falling Skies, will start. How do you like it?

He said that people are rediscovering agriculture, and I doubt people would want to RP as Neolithic farmers. Medieval would be fine, I think Medieval but with far more connection in the world due to a few maps and knowledge passed down from the pinnacle of mankind.

I like that idea. Maybe we know navigation, how to make maps, etc. Our states would still be localized to a continent most likely, but interactions over large distances would be fun.

But still limited. I don't think maps from 2020 AD would survive. C'mon, 2,500 years would make most of our stuff degrade. Even our modern cities are covered in vegetation or gone! Nothing digital as well. Technology like computers and guns were lost. Medieval sounds fine to me, like 600 AD technology.
(They all dust in da wind). Depending on what kind of nations app for certain areas, we also will see vastly different cultures from the old world

No doubt limited, lol. What cities?(They all dust in da wind). Depending on what kind of nations app for certain areas, we also will see vastly different cultures from the old world

Or cultures that have a vastly skewed vision of the past.
Mickey Mouse worshippers, anyone?

Also I don't think China would exist, and if it did it wouldn't have the ability to explore the Pacific. I mean most of the islands were lost, so they'd die in the voyage!

Also, I doubt that the destruction of society could ever be as complete as you say it is.

Within this span of time, nothing we think we know is what it is. Everything would have been fused, sewn together, then ripped apart to be once again glued together. Also, this world saw a heavier usage of the bombs during the fall, triggering rampant climate change and displacing already tattered survivors

Still, there are a few things that WILL happen. Chinese culture will exist, and while it may be different than modern Chinese culture, a thousand years after the RP when we reach modern levels people will still say it is Chinese.
