Economies are crippled, as international mega-unions begin to blame each other. NATO (now including Mexico) goes to war with the Eurasian Union. Amid the chaos, nuclear weapons are somehow used. The two sides collapse, as the rest of the world falls into anarchy. The once shining new machines and civilizations left behind are abandoned, and are destined to decay.

The world is quieter now. No more civilization, and a new Dark Age grips the world. People struggle to survive, being so accustomed to living with machines. Most die from the rampant disease and warfare. The few millions left begin their best attempts to form nations, based on the old ones they lost. Many fail, but some manage to take hold in this new, cruel world.

Centuries pass. Humans exist in a state of primal savagery for a long time. The ice caps, destroyed by decades of global warming, steadily flood the world. Climates change worldwide. Now it is the year 4500 AD. The ocean has swallowed much of the Earth, drastically changing the climate. Now it is a new world. A new agricultural revolution is spreading in certain places around the globe. New technologies and ways of living are being discovered. This is when our RP, Falling Skies, will start.
