That's good to hear. We're actually arguing a bit right now, but all is well. I'll get to see her on Friday, so everything should be alright.

Dipper and Mabel are both 24, bro.

I don't buy for one minute that the cartoons in that cartoon were 24. It's the same as saying, "Oh, that prepubescent anime girl with watermelon tits is 18. I know she looks completely like a little girl other than her massive tits, but you gotta trust me, she's 18!"

That is my shit right there. Illmatic, Greatest of All Time. To me, Nas is better than 2Pac or Biggie. I just feel him so much more, like, goddamnit he just has this flow and story telling ability. Ether, his diss to Jay-Z, was the tightest piece of rap beef in history. Only contender might be Hit Em Up from Pac.

So, just the name is a turn off?

I dont know, the bizarre mix of the long red hair, lack of fashion sense, earth town and relaxed look would appeal to me. Imagining those features on a actual person of course.

Yeah, Illmatic is considered by a ton of people to be the best hip hop album of all time. It's seriously like beautiful poetry in musical form.
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? There are these beuatiful things called opinions. Hip Hop is more oriented to those who enjoy smooth rhythm and pounding bass and what not, while Metal is more about technicality and complexity. Both can have very meaningful lyrics, although this is often overlooked in metal because people take its most extreme elements and generalize the entire genre. Hell, there is a lot of Death Metal that tells beautiful stories and are rather melodic in instrumental nature. One is not inherently better than the other, but as somewhat of a vocalist, and rather advanced guitar player, I can say with some certainty that metal is much harder to play. Note, I'm not saying that rap is easy, I'm just saying it's something that comes naturally to people, while metal takes years of practice. And before you say that growling is super easy and anyone can do it, try doing it for 15 minutes without your throat scratching itself to death. You probably can't, because you don't know the proper techniques. And on the higher spectrum of vocals, there are people like Rob Halford, who most people, regardless of whether they like Judas Priest or not, credit with being a simply incredible vocalist, with an incredible octave range that is unique in its operatic and vibrato nature.

Very good selection! MF DOOM is devastating, he needs more hype.

Ghostface Killah, The Game, Any and All Wu-Tang Clan and affiliates (Killer Bees), Chance the Rapper, Odd Future, Earl Sweatshirt, Joey Bada$$. Love me some Kenny West and Hov. We would get along decently with our shared interest of Weaboo bullshit and hip hop. At least I hope so ;_;

Damn I was gonna mention Ghostface Killah and The Game but I forgot halfway through making my list. Hate when that happens. :p

Saying, Hip Hop>Metal is not an opinion. And I stated something that actually is true. Playing and singing in Metal takes far more talent than rapping. It's just true. You need to learn to play a guitar or drums, where as you don't really need to learn how to rap.

HAHAHAHA. Sure it does.

Not that requiring more time and effort to perform actually makes something better.

Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

Of course it is.

HAHAHAHA. Sure it does.

Not that requiring more effort to perform actually makes something better.

I'm done cluttering up the OOC with this useless arguement. You go ahead and believe what you want to believe.

Like I wasn't going to do that in the first place.

*shrug* I also listen to metal. Not as much as I used to, but I still do. It actually used to be the main genre I listed to before I got into hip hop.
Neros wrote:Very good selection! MF DOOM is devastating, he needs more hype.

From a technical standpoint he's definitely one of the best I've come across.

Damn I was gonna mention Ghostface Killah and The Game but I forgot halfway through making my list. Hate when that happens. :p

Anyone that recognized the GOATness of Illmatic is a fantastic human being in my book.

Awesome, man. I love DOOM's collabs as well, like Madvillain? Holy shit, I'll rock Fancy Clown daily if I could. To me, The Game really did bring back West Coast (I know people were still bumping, but he was the guy who helped put them back on the map for me personally). Of course, that's with all of his namedrops :p

Oh! As a hilarious twist, I listen to Lil B to get some major laughs. Rob, you'll love one of his songs.

I was. Music is great no matter what anyone else listens to. As long as you love it, who the fuck cares if one is "better" or has more "talent" than the other.

Soulja Boy - Bitch I Look Like Goku

This is why hip hop is winning.
