Brief Explanation of Government: The Government of the Federation is a union of self-governing British territories in Africa, a Parliamentary Democracy, a Federation and a Constitutional Monarchy. The three provinces (N. Rhodesia, S. Rhodesia and Nyasaland) each elect 50 members to the Federation Parliament, who then in turns elects a Prime Minister with the approval of the Governor General who acts as the Representative of the British Crown. The Prime Minister can appoint a Cabinet subject to the approval of the Parliament, and the Governor General on the recommendation of the Parliament appoints the Supreme Court. The Prime Minister is Head of State and effectively rules the Federation in the absence of the British Monarch.
Each Province has a Premier elected by the delegates to the Federation Parliament of that particular province. The Premier administers the day-to-day administration of each province, but is effectively bound by the Parliament and the Prime Minister. - Royal Armed Forces of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland - The primary defense and security force of the Federation, numbering 150,000 active men, 100,000 Reserve. It features modern equipment funded by the British Empire, with excellent training in the diverse terrain of the Federation. They could easily defend the Federation's borders and march beyond them.
- Royal Rhodesian Rifles - The elite forces of the Federation, they are specially trained for offensive operations, they are tough with intense survival training and are experts in Bush and Guerilla warfare. They are well-funded with state of the art equipment and aerial training, they are well-known for their numerous war-games and their speed and stealth in attacking. In total their are 15,000 of them all of them active.
Air Force:
- Coastal Guard of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland in Lake Malawi - The Navy is not really a navy, but just a collection of old junky coast guard ships struggling through Lake Malawi. They are mostly German/British leftovers from the Great War and only 25 of the 100 and armed.
- Royal Air Forces of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland - The Air Forces are the real pride of the federation. First-class planes manned by First-Class pilots, made with British designs in the Capital of Salisbury, in the burgeoning new factories. The pilots are trained in the diverse conditions of the Federation. Plans are even in the works for a Rhodesian-designed fighter plane. About 1,250 planes are stationed in the Federation, though only 800 are actually owned by the Federation Government. All the others are RAF planes, as the Federation is the main base of operations in Africa. The Rhodesian fighters have been given the nickname: "the Scourge of Africa".
