Little description: January, 1, 1836; The New Years celebration is under way. For the common folk this is a celebration. For the Generals and Kings it is a reminder of a uneasy peace that reigns across the world. From USA's never ending quest to touch the Pacific to Japan's samurai society, peace is held by a thin silk cloth draped over the world. Now with Prussia trying to form a new Germany to Austria trying to keep its Empire, will the peace prevel or will the world catch fire in the flames of war? That is up to you my friends.... So what be it? War or Peace?

History:After the failure of the democracy movements in Prussia and Brandenburg, a new monarchy rose up which was voted into power as the last motion of the old Electorate. Jerome Holstein secured power, wielding it well he played his way into
several powerful families hearts. Using them as backers he crowned himself king and immediately set to work asserting Prussian Dominance in Germany. Starting with Saxony he reminded them of their fealty to the crown of Brandenburg and Prussia then he moved on to disassemble their most powerful aristocrats to establish for himself blind support.

Having Achieved such a powerful base to begin expanding from, Jerome began amassing an army that he used to March into Mecklenburg and into Hannover-Oldenburg. For four Years that came to be known as the Prussian Expansion war, Prussian troops slowly carved their way into the smaller states to their west, crushing resistance and capturing town after town. Finally a treaty was signed that gave lordship of the conquered territories to Jerome I who now claimed the title,
Jerome I Emperor of Prussia, Lord of Saxons, King of the Germans, and Master of Hannover.

With such a strong army still built from the war in the west Jerome prepared to expand southward into Hesse, Nassau, and Wurttemburg. However he died a mere month before he began the invasion. His Son Franz I took the Throne and instead of Invading the Principalities in the south west he moved directly south into Bavaria. A bloody war commenced, for nine long years Bavarians fought the Invading forces of Prussia which slowly forced them into submission. On the eighth of March 1812 a treaty was signed ending the war and ceding Bavaria and it's ally that entered the war in 1807, Hesse-Nassau. In less than two generations Prussia had doubled its size, but the army had grown weary and the people no longer supported a war to unite the German principalities and electorates. For the rest of his life Franz I diplomatically strengthened his nation. Establishing better trade, one year before he died Taking control of Westphalia through diplomacy rather than war.

Franz II was much like his father. Within a year of being made King he had invaded and conquered Hamburg and bullied Baden into submission. Still a young King he had achieved what his grandfather and Father had been moving towards for years. However, with the Unification of the Prussian Empire Complete he began growing hungry for more. In Africa Prussian troops landed and established the colony of Angola, from there they shipped slaves and raw materials all around the world.

The Year is now 1836 and Franz II is only 31, He wishes for more conquest and land his eyes are no longer limited to only Europe.

Population: 28,100,000 (it's probably an exaggeration but I couldn't get any information including the colonies)

Territory: Netherlands, Belgium (they didn't get independence), Luxembourg, Curaçao, Bonaire, Aruba, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten (southern third of the island; not the French part), Suriname and the islands/parts of islands which currently make up Indonesia

History: After the culmination of the Napoleonic Wars the independence of the Netherlands was reaffirmed. From 1815 to 1835 the government dedicated itself to eliminating poverty and educating the population while Dutch citizens travelled the world trading and conquering for their King and their country.
These Dutch trader/colonists frequently went to the already-established colonies of the Caribbean but a considerable amount of them chose the East Indies instead. In the 20 year period between the years 1815 and 1835 these colonists with the assistance of the Dutch Armed Forces conquered the islands of Sumatra, Java and parts of Borneo and New Guinea along with other surrounding but small islands and territories.
In 1835, with poverty and illiteracy in the metropolitan (European) part of the country eliminated and now in possession of a vast colonial empire in the East Indies (and a handful of possessions in the Caribbean) the Netherlands found itself in a very favourable economic position.

A young peninsular Army lieutenant (and aide-de-camp) entered the Viceroy's private study obviously mortified by something of grave importance, "Your Excellency, the separatists have attacked the armoury".
"Which armoury, lieutenant?" asked the Viceroy calmly
"The one in Yucatán, sir. They've overwhelmed the soldiers stationed there!"
"Who is their leader lieutenant? How many members do they have?"
"A former officer of ours, Antonio Rodríguez commands 2,000 militants of their 'soldiers' but in total they have 15,000, sir."
"Lieutenant they have 15,000 untrained, misguided freedom-fighters. They have no ideals; they'll corrupt this country and bring misery to the people if they accomplish their goals! Meanwhile, we have 50,000 trained soldiers in New Spain, almost a million in the entire empire and an entire population to recruit from if necessity brings us to that. Do not panic; New Spain and Iberia will prevail over the traitors. ¡Que Vivan el Rey y la Reina! ¡Viva Iberia y el Imperio!"
"Viva!" the lieutenant replied instinctively "But sir, what do we with these rebels?"
"We fight them of course!"
"I will call General Ruiz so that you can give the order formally."
"Please do so. Ah! Lieutenant,"
"Yes?"
"Bring me paper and a quill; the King and the Chief Minister need to be notified."
"In a minute, sir."

Exactly fifty-six seconds later the lieutenant brought a sheet of paper and a quill along with an ink bottle. "Thank you" the Viceroy said to the lieutenant.
"You're welcome, sir. I will call summon the general; I estimate it'll take him approximately two hours to arrive."
"Very well."

With that the Viceroy started composing his letter to the King.

To: The King & Queen of Iberia
From: Viceroy of New Spain

Your Majesties,

It has come to my attention that a movement calling itself the 'Revolutionary Movement' has attacked an armoury in the province of Yucatán. I shall meet your generals stationed in the viceroyalty; so-far it seeems we will respond militarily to the treacherous vermin.

I write to your Majesties with the sole purpose of informing you as these separatists are only a collective of misguided and untrained peasants led by a former officer of ours. It is simply impossible for them to prevail.

The letter was promptly sent to Madrid and after about an hour waiting impatiently General Ruiz arrived at the Viceroy's door.
"Hello, general."
"Hello, your excellency."
"Our meeting today shall be quick. General, what will we do with the separatists?"
"Well, as the supreme commander in New Spain I have 50,000 soldiers under my command; they have around 15,000. We will attack them and bring their leaders to justice for on the charge of treason."
"Well then, proceed as you've said you will; eradicate them, general.
"Good evening then, your excellency."
"Good evening, general."
"Your excellency?"
"Yes?"
"Have you notified the Crown?"
"Yes."

And with that General Ruiz departed the Viceregal Palace to organise the offensive with fellow generals.
