Brief Description of your Economy: While a robust trading nation The main source of income is intra nation trade.
Goals: Expansion of power, and influence
History: Since it's inception Kingdom has been plagued by ambition. It has seen its borders not as walls limiting its power, but gateways to a bright future. Through generations of conquest and diplomacy Bohemia and Bavaria conquered much of their current territory. As the years wore on territory swayed back and forth, differing cultures assaulted each other's territories to try to achieve a more powerful standing in their kingdom. As war became the norm again in Europe many men were happy to be sent on crusade to allow for conquest of many Islamic nations. However as multiple waves were sent to the holy land a strange thing happened, some began to adopt the native customs as their own. Their once brilliant fervor slowly gave way to curiosity and eventually convergence. While most were found and killed many still returned home to their nations with new wives and families taken from the Middle East. This started several religious wars that gave rise to a new Christian movement as well. People who had grown tired of the apparent corruption in the Catholic Church grew very angry and began worshipping god a different way. For a long while these people were persecuted just as well as the Muslim converts and Islamic peoples who had been brought back with the crusaders. As time wore on more and more blood was shed in the name of god until eventually many nobles also grew tired of the catholic war on the very people it swore to aid. By 1700 a relative peace had returned to the region as fewer people wanted to fight for the beliefs they held. In time everything once again returned to normal. By 1750 a war broke out between Bohemia and Bavaria which included several smaller nationalities that slowly were assimilated during the war. A treaty was signed in 1771 ending the war. However thanks to the forced movement of peoples the cultures of the two nations were now irreparably intermixed. In 1798 the Unity Accord was signed which officially formed the United Kingdoms of Bavaria and Bohemia after the wedding of Catherine and Franz I. Today their heir Franz II rules after they abdicated the throne.

Brief Description of your Economy: France experienced a slow economic and demographic recovery in the first decades following the death of Louis XIV, although monetary confidence was briefly eroded by the disastrous paper money "System" introduced by John Law from 1716 to 1720. In 1726, under Louis XV's minister Cardinal Fleury, a system of monetary stability was put in place, leading to a strict conversion rate between gold and silver, and set values for the coins in circulation in France.

Starting in the late 1730s and early 1740s, and continuing for the next 30 years, France's population and economy underwent an important expansion. Rising prices, particularly for agricultural products, were extremely profitable for large landholders. Artisans and tenant farmers also saw wage increases, but on the whole, they benefited less from the growing economy. Pivotal developments in agriculture, such as modern techniques of crop rotation, the use of fertilizers which were modeled on successes in Britain and Italy, began to be introduced in parts of France. It would, however, take generations for these reforms to spread throughout all of France. Farming of recent New World crops, including maize, potatoes continued to expand, and provided an important supplement to the diet.

The most dynamic industries of the period were mines, metallurgy and textiles (in particular printed fabrics, such as those made by Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf). The advancements in these areas were often due to foreigners. For example, it was John Kay's invention of the flying shuttle that revolutionized the textile industry, and it was James Watt's steam engine that changed industry as the French had known it. Capital remained difficult to raise for commercial ventures, however, and the state remained highly mercantilistic, protectionist, and interventionist in the domestic economy, often setting requirements for production quality and industrial standards, and limiting industries to certain cities.

The international commercial centers of the country were based in Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, and Bordeaux. Nantes and Bordeaux saw phenomenal growth due to an increase of trade with Spain and Portugal. Cadiz was the commercial hub for export of French printed fabrics to India), the Americas and the Antilles (coffee, sugar, tobacco, American cotton), and Africa (the slave trade), centered in Nantes.

In 1749, a new tax, modelled on the "dixième" and called the "vingtième" (or "one-twentieth"), was enacted to reduce the royal deficit. This tax continued throughout the ancien régime. It was based solely on revenues, requiring 5% of net earnings from land, property, commerce, industry and from official offices, and was meant to touch all citizens regardless of status. However, the clergy, the regions with "pays d'état" and the parlements protested; the clergy won exemption, the "pays d'état" won reduced rates, and the parlements halted new income statements, effectively making the "vingtième" a far less efficient tax than it was designed to be. The financial needs of the Seven Years' War led to a second (1756–1780), and then a third (1760–1763), "vingtième" being created. In 1754, the "vingtième" produced 11.7 million livres.

The later years of Louis XV's reign saw some economic setbacks. While the Seven Years' War, 1756–1763, led to an increase in the royal debt and the loss of nearly all of France's North American possessions, it was not until 1775 that the French economy began truly to enter a state of crisis. An extended reduction in agricultural prices over the previous twelve years, with dramatic crashes in 1777 and 1786, and further complicated by climatic events such as the disastrous winters of 1785-1789 contributed to the problem.

With the government deeply in debt, Louis XVI was forced to permit the radical reforms of Turgot and Malesherbes. However, the nobles' disaffection led to Turgot's dismissal and Malesherbes' resignation 1776. Jacques Necker replaced them. Louis supported the American Revolution in 1778, but the Treaty of Paris (1783) yielded the French little, excepting an addition to the country's enormous debt. The government was forced to increase taxes, including the "vingtième." Necker had resigned in 1781, to be replaced temporarily by Calonne and Brienne, but he was restored to power in 1788.

In these last decades of the century, French industries continued to develop. Mechanization was introduced, factories were created, and monopolies became more common. However, this growth was complicated by competition from England in the textiles and cotton industries. On the other hand, French commercial ventures continued to expand, both domestically and internationally. The American War of Independence had led to a reduction of trade (cotton and slaves), but by the 1780s American trade was stronger than before. Similarly, the Antilles represented the major source for European sugar and coffee, and it was a huge importer of slaves through Nantes. Paris became France's center of international banking and stock trades, in these last decades (like Amsterdam and London), and the Caisse d'Escompte was founded in 1776. Paper money was re-introduced, denominated in livres; these were issued until 1793.

The agricultural and climatic problems of the 1770s and 1780s led to an important increase in poverty: in some cities in the north, historians have estimated the poor as reaching upwards of 20% of the urban population. Displacement and criminality, mainly theft, also increased, and the growth of groups of mendicants and bandits became a problem. Although nobles, bourgeois, and wealthy landholders saw their revenues affected by the depression, the hardest-hit in this period were the working class and the peasants. While their tax burden to the state had generally decreased in this period, feudal and seigneurial dues had increased.

When Napoleon rose, he began to conquer much needed land during the Napoleonic War era, & disturbed the land to farmers, and conscripted people who couldn't find a job into the French Military. He also created the Committee on Economic Growth, to try and curb the problem, while fixing old deficits.
Goals: Reform the French Bureaucracy, set up Puppet Governments in America, secure vital sea lanes, and bring the French Empire to glory.
History: French revolution history, you know. We just gained more land.
RP Sample: You know me.

Location/Claims: 5
Capital City: Riechar (Porto)

Government Info
Government Type: Constitutional Monarchy
Brief Explanation of Government: the King and royal family holds almost all power but a council of nobles can overturn the Kings actions as defined by the treaty of Porto in 1434
Ideology: national conservatism, Free trade
Leader/s: King Jakob XII

Population Info
Brief Description of your people: The Suebi are Germanic in origin meaning that most citizens have blond or black hair and blue or brown eyes. The colonies however hold a much greater diversity of the people
Religion: Balderism
Ethnicity: Suebi (german)
Main/Accepted Culture(s): Suebi, Roman, German
Other Cultures: Pacific Islander, Several Native American tribes, Visogoth

Military Info
Army: the army is divided between colonial and homeland with no segregation between cultures. You will find Pacific Islanders serving right alongside Suebi. The homeland army has about 60,000 in peace time while the Americas colonial army and pacific colonial army have 75,000 men.
Navy: the navy is a highly capable force and it needs to be as to protect the vast trade of the kingdom. A majority of ships are based in the pacific guarding the profitable spice trade garnering many of the about 50,000 men employed in the navy during peace.

Other Info
Brief Description of your Economy: the economy is mainly centered around trade coming from the spice of the far east colonies as it is the most profitable. The homeland however has shifted to being a center of refined goods as craftsmen turn out fine products made from material from overseas. In the colonies, most people are employed in agriculture growing mostly food crops most about 45% are cash crops and the number is projected to rise
Goals: Continued friendship with the Romans to the south, expansion in the pacific, annexation of Aragon
History: In the year 756, the Suebi in Galicia threw off there Visigoth oppressors and declared the independence of the kingdom of Suebi. The Great War if independence lasted two years and would surely have been taken advantage of by the Muslims if they had not been dealing with internal issues. King Balder was declared the king of the new state as he was a noble who came to lead the rebellion for the Suebi.

He would institute the dramatic overhauling of the catholic faith and institution of the old Suebi dialect of german instead of latin. Balder would create the new Christian sect that would be known as Balderism. It constituted that Jesus was a conduit between heaven and earth to reconnect the people to the gods such as Odin, Loki, Thor and Balder tracing back to the old religion of the Suebi. This of course was considered heretical by the rest of the Christian world leading to the denouncement of the pope by Balder and creation of the High Pontifex of Santiago using the term for the romans high priest . The catholic populace of the kingdom was suprising welcoming of the new sect and many people converted.

The Suebi in land not within the kingdom at that point were ripe with rebellion as they wanted to rejoin their fellow Suebi. This would lead to a many rebellions stretching the Visigoths to their limit. The Suebi kingdom took advantage and after a series of wars, had taken all of norther Spain up to Navarra. It was then that the Suebi turned towards the south and the roman state that occupied southern Spain. They were ready to battle but the Romans were surprisingly welcoming to the Suebi leading to the league of Hispania, a alliance between the Suebi and Romans.

Around 1460, islands far to the east of Suebi were found (Azores) and a expedition financed by the king sailed to claim those islands for the kingdom. Another expedition financed by the king would come by about 1480 when the islands of Cape verde were discovered by the traders of Suebi. In 1492, with word of a land far to east found by a Italian, a Suebi expedition was organized leaving in 1493 and finding the island of Trinidad. A colony would be set up there 10 years later in 1503.

Between 1503-1800, Suebi participated in the rush for the new world snatching up the territories of Mexico, Brazil, panama, Belize and Honduras. They would lose their original colony of Trinidad to war along with Mexico and Brazil in two independence declarations but the kingdom never faltered. The kingdom largely stayed out of European affairs during this time choosing to focus solely on colonization and trade. Once the feasibility of a colonies in the Far East came about, the kingdom also took advantage, colonizing the island of Timor and more of the Far East for the profitable spice.

While I will fix it I am wondering why you A. Are so against Protestantism, and B. are so worried about having a singular religion in my country.

For my history I will rewrite sections and add more about how it was started. However I was worried about writing about its inception because it appeared you had already thought it out.

Why not just make it Habsburg lands that inherited West instead of East, i.e what it was meant to be when me and Buj thought of it

Actually I was thinking along the same lines, but I was going to have turn into a several generations long blood feud over who gets what land due too multiple people laying claim. And so many of the smaller nations over time get drug into it and more or less just kind of cease to exist. Eventually it gets to where my history was talking about the two sides Bavaria and Bohemia ducking it out till a Romeo and Juliet situation happens except on larger scale and with much less suicide and much more happy endings.

History: Since it's inception, Most of the Holy Roman Empire was nothing more than a large collection of Relatively independent nations. As different families rose to prominence land, resources and power became important reasons to wage war. For long periods of time war had become a constant factor in the politics of the German peoples. However by the 15th century several new families came to power, The Wettin's in the North, the Hapsburgs in the South and the Wittelsbachs in central Germany. Several years passed and eventually the Wettin house fell to the Wittelsbachs simply by marriage. Though in Name the Wettins lived on they were replaced by generations of Bavarian born heirs. Thus ended the Wittelsbachs and the true Wettins. In 1636 a Wettin Prince demanded his right was a large chunk of land that Bohemia had taken in warfare some eighty years prior, what ensued would come to be known as the Prince's war in which the heirs to both Bohemia and Bavaria led armies to contest one another's influence in smaller nations such as Wurrttemburg. It wasn't until five months after the war began that the armies actually met on the field and there they still didn't come to fight but to sign a peace agreement. Wurrttemburg was divided between the two and an uneasy peace reigned for twelve years. Bavaria was the first to strike but it didn't strike in Wurttemburg as Bohemia had feared they would but north to take saxony from Brandenburg. As things grew more heated Bohemia joined in actually on the side of Bavaria, at which time Brandenburg surrendered. And Saxony was claimed wholly by Bavaria. Bohemia launched an invasion of Wurtemburg at the outrage of being left out of the spoils and captured nearly all of the territory. By 1670 Bohemia and Bavaria were once again at one another's throat over claims of one another's land. In. March of that year Bohemia launched an Invasion of Bavaria aiming to take the city of Dresden in Saxony, however they were beaten back and Bavaria attacked heading straight for the Capitol of Bohemia. The Emperor intervened and peace was forced for several years. During which time a young lady Catherine of the Wettins met Prince Ladislav IV a Hapsburg cousin and they married uniting The nations of Bohemia and Bavaria in an initially unstable peace. However by 1700 few people remember the dissent between Bohemians and Bavarians. By 1750 a war broke out between Bohemia and Austria which included several smaller nationalities that slowly were assimilated during the war. A treaty was signed in 1771 ending the war. However thanks to the forced movement of peoples the cultures of the two nations were now irreparably intermixed. In 1798 the Unity Accord was signed which officially formed the United Kingdoms of Bavaria and Bohemia- Austria after the wedding of Elizabeth and Franz I of Austria. Today their heir Franz II rules after they abdicated the throne.
