I have a cool RP idea...

Where we really, really hoped that humanity was getting peaceful. There had regularly been at least one massive international war every century for awhile now, and near the middle of the 21st century, our happened.

Something about Russian Fascism coming up (but of course it can't be called that). Russia wants its empire/union back, etc.

Except they lose horribly, now, NATO tries to severely limit their demands to prevent anything resembling another Versaille, but China is like "Yo give us Outer Manchuria and the parts of Mongolia you took".

Middle East looks different, maybe some secessions in Europe (Scotland, Catalonia, Brittany, Venetia, etc.)

Turkey goes a bit crazy fighting Kurds and in the ensuing conflict Greece is given Thrace (without Constantinople) and more islands and maybe a tiny bit of land in Anatolia.

I'm pretty sure that Thrace is nearly devoid of Greeks since the Greek-Turkish Population transfers of, I believe it was the 20s, of the last century. So I don't see that really happening in the modern world
Neither do I see China getting areas unless they are ethnically Chinese or vote to become so.

1. Greece can still get it, though, the USA and other countries probably don't want to invade Turkey, but Greece is like "hell yes, but we get our stuff back".

2. It's ~2050, China can basically do whatever the fuck it wants.

Russia brings back it's no-first-use policy, NATO uses PGMs to basically decapitate the entire Russian Army within the first week of the war. Sorted.
