I've recently begun trying to create a scenario in which Germany wins WWI in about 1917-1918, where the USA has just joined the war but a German offensive gets within sight of Paris, causing panic and confusion, and then because of diplomatic flabbling, negotiations begin and the Allied war effort collapses (sort of like what happened to the Germans when the US announced that they were negotiating; their desire to fight just melted away when they realised they could negotiate). Germany takes much of Guinea and the Congo area, props up an ailing A-H and puppets basically all the Balkans and most of eastern Europe in a treaty with USSR (Brest-Litovsk with changes), British empire begins to fail, etc.

Unlike other RPs I've generally made, it's not story-based; it's just complete, unbiased conjecture about what would have happened with that POD. Thoughts?

Well it may change because I'm a tad bit decided but it went from splitting from the Union after the revolution became a part of the British Empire and now serves as Britains Dominion... Or I might do a reversed Civil War that works too...

IIRC its quite hard to get a German offensive to Paris after US entry, but I'm quite rusty as my in-depth research into such a PoD was almost a year ago. I guess once we'll approach the anniversary I'll try again.
But back to your scenario: I'd definitely be in. I like the general idea, though as said not sure how realistic the PoD is. Though the conclusions you give to that PoD do seem expected.
Though depending on when the rp itself starts, A-H may have already collapsed - something also quickened by US entry and Woodrow's public peace offer.
To shorten things up, I'd be glad to both be part of that rp and to help you organize/set it up, if you want.

Once again, not necessarily an RP It also bears a striking resemblance to MiM, which we've just had a vote about, indicating that pretty much nobody is interested in the current time period (1921, 2 years after the Great War ended with German victory).

Anyway, it wasn't a German offensive that threatened Paris so much as an offensive that looked like it threatened Paris, which triggered all the crazy doomsayers and panic. I was figuring it would have been a more successful Spring Offensive, with the frontline just close enough to Paris to see (and therefore, y'know, cause everyone to go apeshit). Apeshit Parisians demand peace, and then suddenly, the idea floods into every corner of Allied Europe and jumps the Atlantic, and before you know it, the Allies are suing for peace; sort of the way Woodrow's public peace offer did to Germany IRL. I was figuring that rather than A-H collapsing, it simply became more attached to Germany (though it would collapse eventually, no doubt). And then, in the rest of the world, I've ideas too (Federation of Central America, take number ... who knows how many? Australia-New Zealand-Antarctica union in light of scary Germans and weak Britain having much less influence? Non-collapsey Qing, due to the Germans being marginally nicer and giving them Guangdong back? Post-war Soviet-Japanese spat? Indian independence movement? Italy switching sides during the war to Central Powers, thus explaining why they won slightly better?)

Yeah, I figured it might. I founded my nation just after midday, and I assume you're somewhere in eastern-central Europe, which is less than 12 hours behind Australia. Americans might be able to shed some light, though.
