Also, we can assume that Tawantinsuyu took over the world with the "They called us "Inca"" Casus Bellum.

Yes, we can conclude that the Inkas using alien technology and flying llamas proceded to take over the entire planet and won the Rumite succession war.

I have an idea for an RP but I am already in one so I might save it for later.

In effect, that's the primary topic of discussion, but we've branched out quite a bit.

I just saw this; why does Japan own the German New Guinea colony, it should be the British (Aust admin.) Territory of New Guinea

EDIT 1: Nepal never lost independence, shouldn't be British

p2. China looks pretty

p3. Why do the Reds (Russia) own islands in the White Sea? (nitpicking)

p4. Nerfing Caucasia = dead to me

p5. already noted, but Yellow Gibraltar makes my eyes water

p6. who owns Cuba, Hispaniola and Haiti? I don't know much about America, but it looks wrong (then again when didn't the Americas look wrong)

What's the POD?

I still believe that White Russians should be a single nation. Don't listen to the anarchist. Hell, even the Reds were not that united.

Still gonna play as one of the Whites, though. As I study Russian history here in Turku, and an extended analysis of the Russian Civil War is a part of the Lithuanian history curriculum, I will try to reshape pre-October Russian history to do every single thing I know that the Whites could have done to win. Changes to 1905, Provisional Government peacing out, Kerensky initiating Land Reform (he was a socialist, after all), alliance with the stronger national movements like Finland and Poland instead of trying to crush them, et cetera.
I have a severe case of addiction to writing. At least 3k words every day is my fix.

6. The Caribbean Federation. Imagine your stereotypical Banana Republic, now extend that over the major islands of the Caribbean. It's also the American response to rebellions toppling loyal regimes in Haiti, Cuba, and Dominica - which is to say that the Caribbean Federation is literally the United Fruit Company's private fiefdom.

Eh, there are multiple PODs. The (orginial) POD would be in the 1800's when Gran Colombia doesn't fall apart, and Scandinavian pan-nationalism becomes a thing.

Also, I like the Whites not being united. If the war goes south for the Reds, it will be interesting to see how all the various factions form the New Russia (or completely fail at that task and go their separate ways).

Also, why a Weimar with Freikorps, in this scenario. (Do not link me to OTL without providing an explanation why it should apply as well, here).

[[Working on flavour text for major countries, would appreciate some help, actually.]]

The Last War

"This is not a peace. It is an armistice for twenty years."

-Ferdinand Foch

Theme

The date is the 2nd of March, 1941.

The Second World War has ended. Germany's armies lie arrayed in ruins along the length of the Eastern and Western fronts. France has won.

Image

In 1889, John Frederick Charles Fuller made the fateful decision to remain with his parents resident in Switzerland. Interested in military affairs, the Francophone Englishman sought out a career as a member of the French Army, which after some deliberation on his citizenship took him up to be educated at Saint-Cyr, and gained the nickname "Petit Napoleon" for his love of the old French Commander.

Jean Fuller, as he began to style himself, served with some distinction in the First World War, and an early supported of the French implementation of armoured units, especially the influential FT16 light tank. The conclusion of the war left Fuller in correspondence with a young man by the name of Charles de Gaulle. Together, they formulated several theories of armoured and mechanised warfare, and despite heated arguments between them both took it upon themselves to spread their concepts throughout the General Staff.

Fuller and De Gaulle failed to instil the same spirit of élan and adventure in their comrades as they felt in themselves, but nonetheless their publications grew to be rather successful, cause for debate within France and abroad among those who could be bothered to translate the rare texts. One particularly influential reader was one Herr Hitler, the leader of the late Third Reich, who adopted Fuller's ideas with gusto. Behind the safety of the Maginot line, now little more than an idea on paper, a few idle forts from the last war reinforced with anti-air guns, however, efforts were made to prepare France for a different war, one that had not been seen before, with a mix of strike and holding units to defend and attack simultaneously.

The War came, in a manner that was largely expected. The vast destructive powers of Nazi Germany spilled into Poland, aided from the East by the armies of the gargantuan Soviet Union, in an Axis of Evil that would surely come to control most of the world. The unattended Siegfried line stood no chance.

Into the Rhineland thousands of French soldiers poured, volunteers all, brave fools willing to die for their country. German conscripts hid in bunkers that were torn apart by well-placed artillery barrages, along a defensive perimeter that was as insecure as it was unfinished. The Wehrmacht was helpless; caught in the East, it swung West only to face an offensive that had already reached Frankfurt. Low on supplies and munitions, it only took a few more months of fighting before exhausted and unable to fight, Germany surrendered, crushed in shame.

The utter routing of the German army had a few effects on the political scene. Poland, freed from German occupation, cried liberty at the Russian oppressor while the Allies quietly secured a peace that ensured the country's independence. These days, every week, thousands flow from what used to be Poland into their new country, a greatly-expanded patch of land holding defiantly steady between the bear and the broken steamroller. Belgium, Poland, Czechoslovakia, the Netherlands, and France, all former belligerents against the Nazi cause have all insisted on vast demilitarised territories, the new defensive positions of the modern age. Italy, defeated even with so little fighting, finds itself increasingly unsure in a world thoroughly opposed to her self-strengthening. A tenuous peace has slipped across Europe, and it is a desperate question to ask whether it will hold.

THEME

Debout, petits soldats!

France, truly the victor of the latest conflict, stands as the greatest and most prominent power of Europe. Nobody had expected the lightning victory of French troops marching into Munich- expectations had been torn between another gruelling trench conflict and a bloody stalemate, or a rapid war and a German victory. Although the war lasted for more than a year, the reports of combat losses have been stunningly low, owing almost exclusively to the obstinacy of the German leadership against the complete ineffectiveness of her army. So impressive was the French victory at Frankfurt that the city was taken almost without bloodbath, and myths of the German army surrendering almost as soon as the war began abound. The mood in the country is one of victorious cheer: without the bitterness of a truly long war and occupation, it seems the widely-derided Left-wing, democratic proposition of a small professional army has shown its ultimate success against the fascist hordes.

France now faces challenges of her own. As Europe's greatest power, and the world's foremost democracy, it is called upon to deliver an example to the rest of the civilised world even with such a disastrously Socialist government. The Army, emboldened by their victory despite their perpetual hatred of the political establishment, remains under civilian control now moreso than ever. Nobody but a few paranoid fools feel a spot of worry for events in the Far East, and a joyous mood of national celebration is unlikely to spoil anyone's mood in the colonies... right?

THEME

Schade und schande, Deutschland ist verloren!

With the Fuhrer's death by suicide, their complete defeat at the hands of their hated enemy, and the dismantling of much of the Nazi party's machinery in the country, Germany is in a state of flux and turmoil. Her armed forces have not been dismantled: a relatively small army retains control of much of their reserves of armour and artillery, and a vastly expanded gendarmerie serves to patrol the new Eastern border now that the army is forever prevented from stationing themselves there. Wary of German aggression, neutral countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark have placed similar accusations at the feet of the new country, and a mood of newfound suspicion is . The Sudetenland and Danzig have both been forcibly abandoned, not just by the State but by the Volk as well, with great streams of refugees barely held in check by the few elements of French soldiery that remain to control the situation.

Despite her frail position, Germany has cause to be hopeful. France has not enforced the harsh economic penalties of the last war: munitions and armament factories lie still, but may be converted to other uses. The country is not starving, or rather, not starving yet, although troubles in that department remain on the horizon. With the sceptre of Nazi tyranny gone, and their political systems, it could be hoped that the new national assembly in Frankfurt, backed by those who emerged from the shadow of the Hitlerite state with backs bent and eyes hopeful, has more to show the country than the failure of Weimar.

THEME

Jeszcze Polska nie zginęła!

Again and again the enemies of the country, a phoenix rising from the ashes, have attempted to retake what they see as their rightful soil. The fools! Poland's own armed forces acquitted themselves admirably in the last war, especially against the rampaging bear of the Soviet Union. The timely intervention of her Western allies preclude any discussion of betrayal, although Poland was forces to cede the easternmost edge of her territory to the Russian Empire under a different flag. But Poland is not lost! With the seizure of her rightful lands from the Hitlerite barbarians, her army, although defeated in battle, is preparing for the next war. To leave the East in the hands of their greatest enemies would be nothing more than a sham, a shambles, perpetuated by none other than the perfidious friends of Communism!

Like France, Poland is victorious, an example of a leading democracy in military victory against other political systems. Diplomacy and ideology drive her towards ever closer alliance with France, which is eager to set up a bulwark against the Soviet threat: allowing Germany to strengthen herself, after all, has proved nothing more than a costly mistake. Poland's territorial ambitions are to spread east, far into the east, bringing the glory and joy of Catholic civilisation, of democracy, of liberty, and spitting in the face of the Bolshevik hordes. The populace itself, though exhausted by the war, clamours for Kirov's head, and they will have it- at any price!

The poorest sons of Russia have not thrown their lives away!

In hushes whispers, in bars and playrooms, the proletariat speak over half-full glasses of vodka or rakija. Without the Great Purge, without the Stalin's cult of personality, without even the fascist invaders to unite the country, Kirov has marked himself out as a relatively popular leader after his ascension through the Congress of Victors. But this last war has people worried. They do not know of the secrets of the Molotov Pact, or of the plans made to divide Poland long before the start of the war: they only know that their great leader, Kirov, a true man of the people, was led into a trap.

The complete defeat of the Hitlerite fascists was a matter of surprise throughout Russia. Desperately to prevent the use of whatever secret method their prewar allies had discovered, Russia eagerly bartered away her newly-gained Western frontier for time and peace. And now, Poland, perfidious land of potato farmers and inbred aristocrats, continues to hold up arms against them, backed by everyone between Athens and London in a hideous display of Capitalist plotting. Russia is an old country, but not a geriatric one: it can see the writing on the wall.

The фашистские суки intend to attack, but Russia will be ready. Russia always is.

Britain is confused. After a long time preparing for peace, praying eagerly that the ongoing tensions in Europe would recede, that Germany would only move East instead of West, that Chamberlain might be right, a great fuss had been kicked up about the next Great War. The chaps in khaki had been sent across the channel, guarding the Flemish border with their lives, as per the plans they had been issued time and time again by French Commanders, and suddenly, they had been told to march East.

Britain's fight in the war was one of incalculable importance. Controlling sea lanes, defending against the fledgling Germany navy, effectively restricting it to the Baltic, all these things were paramount to Whitehall. But for all her impressive efforts, Britain's wartime legacy is mostly one of bumbling incompetence, albeit a benign kind. Some people had raised questions about France's advance into Germany, but nobody had expected the buggers to win! Even at the negotiation table, Britain found itself in a far secondary position. Little Poland, charming as it was, was allowed more influence over the treaty terms than Her Majesty's diplomats!

Insulted, befuddled, and unharmed, Britain won a war it had prepared for years with hardly a shot. Not that it felt like they had won. Most stories from the front concerned the British Expeditionary Force being a fair few miles behind the front line, trying to spot Germans or catch up to the French. Britain now faces challenges of her own: in the east, the Soviet Union, remains cause for concern, and further yet East, the Empire of Japan has been awfully unpleasant to those Chinese folk lately... but it's unlikely to develop into anything significant. Caught in a crossroads, their institutes awfully shaken, could someone please tell Britain what to think?!

A day that will live in infamy...

America is unconcerned. Another pointless war in Europe ended, with surprising speed and not through the expected methods, but certainly with the expected result as far as the American military staff is concerned. After all the stifled tension of the 1930s, the stock market crash and the slow recovery under the popular Roosevelt, everyone hopes that things will settle down from now on. Peace and prosperity, after all, is the real American Way...

The date is the 2nd of March, 1941.

The Second World War has ended. Germany's armies lie arrayed in ruins along the length of the Eastern and Western fronts. France has won.

Hmm...Japan might continue its campaign for Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere as its campaign practically can be done without the aid of Nazi and Italy.

Germany mostly kept what they have Pomerania because of a rough back-of-the-envelop calculation involving moving the entire German population of Poland into it and East Germany.
