but then a Milan dominated Piedmont instead of Sardinia/Genoa dominated Piedmont could be interesting as well. This needs thinking about.

It could be Danish (with their positions reversed, the Danes could all go over to England instead of the Jutes, leaving the Jutes to pick up the pieces). Or England/Wales could be Roman-British with Scotland Celtic.

Republic of Florence peaks my interest. Something tiny, yet dynamic. Fits into my schedule nicely.

Ideally I would do the Three Kingdoms and just clear Ireland of the Irish people but you know time and all that.

I have settled on Jutemark (for the time being). Modern day Denmark, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Skåne, Blekinge, Halland, Småland, Västergötland and Östergötland

Now that people are specifying their claims for this 1700 AH RP I would like to do the same.

Burgundy proper: Belguim, Picardy, Calais, Champagne, Burgoune(duh), Lorraine, Franche Comte, Alsace, Luxembourg, and just a little bit of western Switzerland so that I have access to lake Geneva.

Burgundian colonies: Bermuda, Virgin Island (both British and American), St.Kitts and Nevis,Trimidad and Tobago, Newfound,Sao Tome and Principe, Lake Macaraibo Colony( most of Venezuala and Columbia, Southern Province of Brazil (its actually called southern province), smalll colony (like 1,000) people at mouth of the Orange River, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Eastern half (or 1/4 or whatever) of Sri Lanka, Singapore + Riau islands.

I am willing to tone this down a bit if necessary but I do beleive that a European country of Burgundy's size in 1700 would be able to have this many colonies and alot of these colonies are small islands but like I said I am willing if too many complain to get rid of 1 or 2 colonies.

If you want to try it out maybe be a Gothic nation that survived the Huns and still stands in Crimea, I tried that in a medieval RP once and it was actually alot of fun.
