Class: Guard, with an Auto 12 Pistol, MG 335-R LMG and wears a M232 semi-powered battle suit.

Short Bio: Standing at 1.86, Murphy grew up on Earth, in a bankrupt Detroit and in a family living on the poverty line. Everyday was a struggle just to survive, being the youngest in the family, and Murphy was always seen as the "Milk Cow" for school bullies. Growing up was never an easy feat, with 6 siblings and a cramped apartment with a tough mother and an ever-drunk father, Murphy grew up as an extroverted boy. All was fine and dandy (for his terms) until his entire family was murdered by Bandits after moving to a colony in Mars; after an incident with loan-sharks where his father refused to pay back his debts. Murphy, at 19, never knew why he was spared, perhaps to add more to the suffering or maybe because they didn't see him as much of a threat. And then a grunt and darkness.

After a King Hit to the back, Murphy was left for dead. For over a year he was in a coma, and when he did wake up his condition was as bad as he was a year ago. One thing was certain, however, and that was that he certainly had lost his right arm; which was replaced by a prosthetic limb funded by Upsilon Incorporated. The doctor brought the grave news forward that Murphy's arm had, in fact, been severed from the shoulder down by a blunt weapon, causing intense trauma which led to his coma. With no home, sibling or parents to rely on, Murphy found adult life almost unbearable and was on the brink of Suicide.

Searching odd-jobs all over the colony for much of his adult life, he finally got word of a stable job that would take him to Jump-gate 7. Distraught and with nothing to do, he signed up for the mission to Jump-gate 7, seeking a fortune and to find out who was responsible for the death of everyone he cared about. Due to his 'complications' with his arm and back, Upsilon Incorporated has provided him with an experimental Battle Suit.
What could possibly go wrong....

At the dawn of Humanities new golden age, an age brought about by the gates, the people of the Earth united as one to create a charter for a new organization to represent the entirety of Humanity. This organization was the UEG, and yet, while still an idealistic group, it was seen that the gates which were to be the source and origin of all power in the galaxy for the fledgling Human empire, it was obvious that some would rise up and threaten that power out of want and greed and selfish desire. This lead to the formation of the Rings of Unity, the militarized groups within the UEG each responsible for a different level of civil and social security from the other, but all unified under the belief that UEG holds the key to Humanity's future. It was out of the Ninth Ring, the Strategic World Observation and Recovery Department (SWORD), came a group of elite custodians, designed with the pure intention of being used as guardians of these gates. This group was named Legion.

However, their emblem, a silver sword upon two wings signifies their origins within the 9th Ring. The operatives themselves are suspect of being about 20 or so years of age on average, but have likely been around for much longer than that, their aging process almost indefinitely halted due to intensive amounts of time spent in cryo-stasis. Their abilities are not fully known nor classified, however they have been confirmed as having an ability to operate without the usage of their sense of hearing, sight, and/or smell due to extreme sensory deprivation training which potentially conditions them for unknown environments not yet well-known to the Human Race. They also are rumored to be skilled hand-to-hand combatants, though some also are known to pilot mechs for larger scale confrontations. Recent conflict on the rings has also lead to multiple members of Legion being marked as KIA and likewise a new recruiting drive into the largely exclusive organization has begun as of recent years.

Rumored devices are cloaking shields, capable of simultaneously protecting and shielding the user from external observation. Gravitational sensors however have been registered as becoming incredibly disfunctional when this occurs as well as massive energy surges that flood through all nearby light-electronics. Another said device is a Mass Acceleration Override, capable of allowing the mech to bypass typical safety restraints when moving to achieve dangerous speeds. Overheating of the main systems as well as reported critical hydraulic failures have been recorded as having occurred within fifteen seconds of MAO Activation.

These "rings" need to be elaborated on, but that's another tidbit of info for another time. Looks good! I'll put it in the OP soonish.
