The Fascist American Empire wrote:Malinche stopped for a bit. Her legs were about to give out from under her. She was right in front of what seemed like a cheap apartment complex. Surely the troopers were off of her trail by now. She sat down on the front step and gathered her breath. What was she going to do? Should she fight? Should she hide? Should she go on a suicide mission and try to Palpatine? Should she look for other surviving Jedi? Should she -
"Hey you!" somebody shouted at Malinche before a blaster bolt whizzed just a millimeter away from her head. The second shot was deflected when Malinche ignited her lightsaber. Her reflexes just barely protected her, but a few bolts managed to kill a few stormtroopers, making it progressively easier to defend herself. She leaped to the side while throwing her lightsaber at the stormtroopers, beheading one before her lightsaber returned to her. She then deflected two bolts, hoping that someone would help at least distract them.
Aliya opened her eyes, wide sapphire orbs that swiftly scanned the room. Her meditations had been interrupted by the sounds of battle, and the unmistakable noise of multiple blasters. The echo reverberated in Aliya's mind, she could recognized the sound of the Clones D-4 rifles anywhere. It was the second sound that truly caught the togruta's attention. The distinct buzzing of a lightsaber.
"They must be just outside," Aliya thought, jumping from her bed. She peered out the window, squinting through the accumulated dust and muck. Sure enough, just down the street, a young Twi'Lek stood alone, surrounded by multiple stormtroopers. Her green lightsaber was held aloft, swatting aside each blaster bolt as it came.
Without a second thought, Aliya smashed through her window, leaping from rooftop to rooftop.
"I have to help," she grunted, as she leaped onto a dingy, stunted apartment building, overlooking the fire fight going on below.
Aliya closed her eyes, and sensed her surroundings. Her montrals passive echolocation allowed her to map out the scene below. With a grin, Aliya ignited her lightsaber, and jumped onto the street below.
"Another one," a trooper cried, turning his rifle on Aliya.
Before he could even get his finger on the trigger, Aliya was in motion, blue blade a fan of energy about her. The moment she had hit the floor, she was running, cutting down the trooper with a flamboyant yet swift strike. Leaping like a hunter from trooper to trooper, the Jedi Knight batted aside fire from her opponents, and then striking them down. Her bladework was elaborate and swift, and slowly, she made her way to the other Jedi.
"Looks like you could use a hand," she called out, swinging her blade in a series of arcs.
The two Jedi stood back to back, surrounded by troopers. It would be a great feat if they would be able to escape this.
