I think James will work well with Kristen. Though I doubt he'll ever swear loyalty to the EU to take down Britannia. He hates Britannia, and will COOPERATE with the EU, but work under them?

Nope. he's gonna take them down his own way.

Still, running into James could prove useful to her. I doubt she knows of some obscure escaped Britannian Prince, but he could help her blend into Tokyo.

On the EU and the odds of her trying to convert someone to it: Look, just drag a Hohenzollern out of the depths of oblivion and Kristen's oaths of allegiance to the European Union are null und nichtig. There's a reason why she and her unit was chosen for a supposed suicide mission in Japan and it's not her exemplary battlefield prowess.

Born the bastard son of the late General Vali Hausser, and grandson of Widukind Hausser former Chief of Staff of the EU, Conrad Hausser comes from a long time military family of German origin from Swabia. Known as a precocious and highly intelligent albeit cold and distant youth, Conrad was heavily instilled by his family with Germanic and European nationalism. However due to his slender build, high voice and distant nature he was frequently bullied as a child leaving him with a deep disgust for people he views ‘inferior’. Not to mention has made him an extremely eccentric person, however due to his intellect, and near fanatical devotion to the state he rose quickly, graduating with honours from high school ahead of schedule and entering the military officer’s academy in Berlin.

During this time Conrad devoted himself to his studies emerging as a leading pupil and notably gaining a great interest in unorthodox warfare and politics. Eventually becoming connected with the ever powerful and ultra-nationalist Neo-Jacobin Club the successor to the organization which dominated the EU’s early stages. Eventually graduating the academy with full honours he assigned due to his high results in strategic and tactical analysis to EU headquarters in Paris. However despite his various connections and interest in the world of politics, he grew heavily bored, annoyed by the populist attitudes of the French dominated government. And when war with Britannia broke out he grew dissatisfied with the General Staffs lack of resolve to commit to engagements. Eventually resigning and asking for reassignment under more hardliner officers like himself on the eastern front.
The appointment would prove fatal. Already a Major by his arrival in the east at 21, Conrad and fellow hardliners like him saw how quickly the EU had wasted opportunities and thus lost vast swaths of Russia. Recognizing the Paris government’s inability he and several officers formed the Teutonic Clique a military clique of EU hardliners advocating total war in the east which grew in popularity among the frontline notably Germanic officers.

Deciding the need to back up their aims Hausser used his position to push his superiors to launch a massive counter-offensive against the Britannians codenamed Operation Cannae. However due to political jockeying in Paris his superior was replaced by a political toady named General Conche, Conche blundered the operation refusing Conrad’s insight and nearly annihilating the EU vanguard and even nearly putting his own command centre in jeopardy before attempting to flee. An act which led Hausser to execute him for cowardice on the spot.
Taking command due to the sheer casualties among the senior staff, Hausser ordered a tactical retreat luring the Britannians into the marshlands behind EU lines. There bogged down by the mud, Hausser used the Panzer Hummel’s superior long ranged arms to break the Britannian knightmare corps. And furthermore due to his flanks having been left behind in the retreat, he was able to create a pocket to annihilate the Britannian corps. However Operation Cannae was better known for Haussers cruelty thereafter, Britannian knights were subsequently executed upon capture earning him the moniker ‘Death’s Head Hausser’.

The success of Cannae was begrudgingly accepted by the Paris government, and though successful Conrad failed to achieve promotion much to the annoyance of him and the Clique over the execution of Conche. However Cannae was not to be Haussers only miracle, two years later he seized the Britannians chief citadel in their forward Urals base and after that earned several victories against the Britannians in other engagements. Finally under pressure from the Clique the Paris government relented and rewarded Hausser with the promotion to the rank of Major General at 25, the youngest to reach such echelons of power.

Since then Hausser has vigorously pursued his agenda from the front. Often appearing as a relentless demagogue often stating ‘Europe needs a Bloodhound I am that Bloodhound.’ Much to the enthusiasm of his supporters. To add Conrad has with more jingoistic elements of the military managed to pursue the creation of an EU military think tank in response to intelligence regarding ‘Camelot’. Indeed now with all sides readying their weapons Hausser’s arguments for a total war may come true.

Personality: Notoriously cold and calculating, the highly intelligent Conrad Hausser is no fool. A brilliant strategist and tactician known for his unorthodox and extremely ruthless strategies he is a deadly opponent indeed. Known for his fanatical devotion to the state he however despises the ‘soft’ Paris government and has long pushed for a more militarized state in response to the Britannians. Furthermore a noted cynic and philosopher he views all human actions as selfish including his own stating that everyone’s actions no matter how righteous stem from desire. By this he states his desire to defend the EU stems from his nationalist ideals and also high soaring political ambitions. Finally a cruel man, Conrad has no qualms about slaughtering innocents if it helps achieve his goals often saying ‘the ends justify the means’ and further reinforcing his nickname of ‘Death’s Head Hausser’.

We can coordinate for my next post. I intend to have some Eleven youths come to harass Van Zant as he's mourning. Some whoop ass occurs, and Zant has to run away so that he doesn't cause a major scene, and hides behind a dumpster for a brief moment. Something like this occurs:

"Hey! Get your own hiding spot."

"Sorry, it was so good, I didn't even see you here."

etc etc. Sound cool?
