2050 a different Earth (RP, Alt History, Open, IC, Reboot)

The year is 2050, Earth is quite different in history, Political, and Geographically. Imagine if the "War to End all wars" never started, and Hitler never rose to power... It would be very different most if the newer nations would never exist, the Map would look like it did in the late 1800s. However Technology wise, it's very advanced Lighting guns, floating cars, etc, your a leader of one of those older nations.

The million lights of Tokyo glowed brightly as the night fell. The darkness of the night was fought off violently by the neon glow of the most densely populated city in the world, as well as the highways and train lines that snaked out of the city. A thousand little lights glowed on Tokyo Bay, as shipments from the rest of the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere flowed in. The Sphere was far from complete as envisioned by the legendary Fumimaro Konoe, and the fulfilment of Hakkō ichiu was still far off. Yet, Japan and her sisters under the Sphere were already prosperous and powerful. Times were good for the Japanese Empire.

Emperor Naruhito, of the new Shōsei Period, was the 127th Emperor of Japan, and was blessed to rule in the peaceful times he did. The march into the Pacific as spearheaded by the Emperor Shōwa, and the conquest of Indonesia under the Emperor Heisei were long over, and the conquered territories had long been integrated into the Greater Japanese Empire. Of course, Naruhito's reign was not without problems. The growing size of China and their suspicious ambitions were a cause for concern for the Japanese government, as were the white men on the other side of the Pacific, as the USA grew stronger. For Naruhito, though, he did not deal much with these politics. Japan, after all, was still a constitutional monarchy. He had little power anyway, and left the thinking and doing to the politicians under Prime Minister Koizumi.

The Imperial Military was a powerhouse in the region. While not as big as the American or Chinese military forces, the Japanese had the bleeding edge in military hardware, or liked to think they did. The Imperial Japanese Navy had no rival in the region, and her hold stretched as far as the Sea of Okhotsk, the Indian Ocean and the Mid Pacific. Great technological marvels such as the fearsome Kitaga Genbu-Class floating fortresses helped to ensure Japan's naval power was maintained despite the size of her neighbours. The Imperial Japanese Army was also a fearsome force, with highly-motivated troops recruited from all over the Empire and cutting-edge technologies in stealth and armour. Rumours also told of space-borne weapons ready to strike enemy targets on the ground from space, known as the Emperor's Fist.

Japan was expected to prosper and grow in these times. Nevertheless, only time would tell the fate of the Greater Japanese Empire.

Thousands of people turned up, waving the flags of their Slavic Socialist State or the national flag. After an hour or so, some jets flew across the sky at lightning bolt speed. They were new, stealthy, and very deadly.

King Wilhelm stared at the map before. He saw the weak nation that would be called Northern Germany but all he saw was anarchy. He knew Prussia could be a great nation. His target faced mass over population issues. He needed allies however. He noticed a message forwarded by his secretary from Great Britain. He smiled as he read. He knew Britain's power and might. He wrote a quick reply.

Dear King Frederick,

It would be a delight to celebrate this momentous occasion in a great nation such as yours. I will fly as soon as I can for London. It would be wonderful to meet with you as I desire friendly relations with such benevolent and wise leaders as yourself.

He returned his attention to the map. He had two strong nations on his borders that could easily crush Prussia. Ideally he wanted to ally with them but at the very least a non-aggression pact would suffice. He began to write once more.

The Emperor attended to see its launch. Each ship held 1,000,000 People. The Science ship held 700,400 Scientists and the rest equipment. They planned on setting a large shield around the ships so that the Citizens could go out and mine and farm, while others build and expand.

Out in the middle of the dessert, miles away from civilization, was a large military complex, the HQ of the Ravenous Wolves. It was almost like a small city and can sustain 300,00 people for 3 years. The Ravenous Wolves leader was sitting at his desk, it had been 200 years since the last major war and it looked as though the peace would stay, this was bad for business, there needed to be some kind of conflict to fight in or an event to guard.

Million of people walked the streets of Rome, whether they be simple tourists or citizens of the Mediterranean Empire it's now hard to tell. As the sidewalks, highways, train rails, and waterways snake across the city like it were it's veins a new renascence has emerged. New forms of art and music is being born in the streets and theaters as new scientific discoveries help shape new technologies that for those of the previous era would look as though they came straight from science fiction. High above the city is an invisible highway in which fly cars soared and on the city streets holograms advertise the latest products, news, and announcements while other holograms are being used as pets for children, which thanks to an advance A.I built within them can interact and talk with them. Along with the changes of art and science ideas are also changing, with religion the pagan belief of the old gods has grown to become a competitor to the religious authority of the catholic church and atheism too has grown strong, creating a three way cold war about faith. But even with religious tensions Italy and by extension the rest of the Mediterranean empire is enjoying a time of peace.

President Minerva (or Empress as some call her) enjoys this time of peace like her citizens. Being born in a time were chaos wrack through the empire she feels proud to have also lived and be a part of the movement to ultimately bring back order and peace to both Italy and the Empire. The effect of the new age of enlightenment is one that she personally enjoys as cybernetics has improved to the point that now mechanical parts cannot only replace lost limbs but also improve upon them. Turning her sight away from the black mechanical arm that is her right arm she looks at the massive ribbon like structure that goes up straight into the heavens themselves. The ribbon is made of nano carbon tubes and serves as the main component to the empire's new space elevator. Connected to an old oil platform and to a space station on orbit the elevator will send in personal and supplies to the station called Solaris, there the space station will try out several new solar panels to supply the empire with solar energy.

"Communist dogs can burn in hell," Lieutenant General Tenzai of the Imperial Army Air Corps was unamused by the USSS's weak excuse, "Give me a force of 10,000 Japanese men armed with bamboo spears and I can defeat the whole Slavic Army. This is all just showboating bullshit."

"Calm down, General. The Russians will get what's coming to them. As of now, we have to focus on our plans regarding the Philippines," Marshal General Kimizawa Kabuto replied, gesturing to the 3D map of Asia and the Pacific laid out holographically before them. The Chinese city of Hong Kong, which had surprisingly been gifted to the Japanese in return for a measly non-aggression pact, was now listed as part of the Japanese Empire. Japan's control over the West Pacific was near-total. All that remained was the large cluster of islands that called themselves the Republic of the Philippines.

Relations between the Japanese Empire and the Philippines had been strained for decades. After the Japanese absorption of Indonesia and the Chinese push into South-East Asia, the Filipino nationalists were extremely determined to secure their sovereignty. A dictatorship had come into power on the platform of "remaining independent", and an over-funded, disproportionately large military was established. The Filipinos continuously blocked Japanese trade agreements and refused diplomatic contact. Inconveniently, all Japanese shipping and ships headed for the Indonesian colonies had to go around the Filipino waters, or be fired upon unprovoked. With the sudden gift of Hong Kong to Japan, there was now a good stopping point in the region for ships and planes headed to Indonesia, but there would still be problems, especially in the contested Luzon Strait between Formosa and the Philippines. Besides, this plan had been in the making for months at this point. The utter and complete invasion of the Philippines by the Imperial Military.

The Filipino military had no hope of truly opposing either the Imperial Japanese Military or the Chinese, but they liked to think they did. The sheer nationalism of much of the Filipino population was also a problem, and much like if anyone were to invade the Japanese Home Islands, every man, woman and child were prepared to take up bamboo spears and repel the enemy. What would be needed was Kantai Kessen, the decisive fleet battle that would destroy the Filipino Navy and Air Force, and with it the spirit of the people. Then the Imperial Army would descend on the islands, fighting a bloody battle that would result in a Japanese victory.

The blood spilled for Japan did not necessarily have to be Japanese.

"Lieutenant-General Naganohara has prepared the 3rd Formosan Corps for the assault across Luzon," General Toyama reported from Formosa, a hologram of the man hovering above his seat, "and Lieutenant-General Minakami has the 2nd, 3rd and 5th Korean Divisions being transported to Formosa as we speak. I will be personally leading the 1st Imperial Guards Division as the vanguard of the assault."

A formation of ships moved on the map towards the Luzon Strait, where satellite scans already showed various Filipino naval units prepared for the battle ahead. The Imperial Navy not only outnumbered the Filipinos two to one, they definitely had better weaponry and technology. How could anyone expect less from the most powerful navy in the Pacific?

"That is good to hear, General Toyama. We are commencing the attack as soon as we enter missile range," Admiral Mitanabe reported, leaning back in his chair and running one hand over the greying hair receding from his forehead, "may the spirits be on our side in this decisive battle. Mitanabe out."

The aged man saluted, shut off the hologram projector and left the conference room. He stepped out onto the grey metal of the corridor outside, reciving a salute from an SNLF marine standing outside of the door with a Type-23 Arisaka in his hands. Mitanabe nodded to the man and headed for the staircase that would take him to the bridge. He decided to take a detour and step outside for a moment, walking along a balcony that overlooked the flight deck. The smell of the sea was strong, as was the smell of jet fuel. Mitanabe put both hands on the railing and observed the attack fleet, which was large by modern standards. A carrier, two refurbished battleships and a whole mess of destroyers. The Japanese admiral smiled as the refurbished IJN Yamato and IJN Shinano, a few hundred meters off the IJN Akagi's starboard side. He knew that nuclear-powered battleships, with their size and guns were no longer as useful in this day of the guided missile, but acknowledged the propagandistic value of their presence. They also contributed to the fight as anti-air and anti-missile platforms, with a massive amount of SAMs, Free-Electron Lasers and their signature anti-aircraft beehive cannon shells, now upgraded to be computer-controlled and with multiple independent-guided sub-munitions.

Mitanabe ascended a flight of stairs and entered the superstructure again, following a few more stairs before finally coming up to the bridge, where Captain Takamura was already waiting for him. The Captain saluted the Admiral, then gestured to the fleet visible all around the Akagi.

"Magnificent, is it not? Our forefathers will be proud. After this day is over, the Japanese Empire will stretch uninterrupted from the tip of Hokkaido to the Indian Ocean. No bullshit island savages blocking our way," Takamura remarked with nationalistic zeal, putting his hands on his hips and smiling victoriously, despite the battle having not yet commenced.

"Yes. We will win here today. None can resist the crashing tide of the Imperial Japanese Navy," Mitanabe affirmed.

A sailor sitting in the left side operations table looked back at his superiors.

"Admiral, Captain, we have arrived in missile range."

Mitanabe's expression grew serious and he put one hand by his side and the other on his ceremonial katana, strapped to waist. The aged man tensed up, straightened his back and stepped forward, picking up the microphone gingerly. He looked at the radio operator to the right, fiddling with his touchscreen computer. The radio operator gave him a thumbs up.

"This is Admiral Mitanabe speaking. All ships to battle stations and prepare for the attack. We move now into the jaws of the enemy. We will defeat this enemy, and we will liberate the people under the Rising Sun. Our tsunami will wash over them, we will leave no trace of those who oppose us. We defend the code. Tenno Heika Banzai!"

The war cry was repeated throughout the ship, and in every ship in the fleet as sailors and pilots ran to their stations. Missiles were armed, torpedoes were loaded and Free Electron Lasers were warmed up. Three Type-27C Gekishin carrier-based fighters were brought up onto the flight deck and prepared for takeoff as crewmen in their distinctive white uniforms and colour-coded armbands rushed about to clear the flight deck.

Captain Tanaka took over the microphone.

"All ships, this is Akagi Actual. All ships to Alert One status. Coordinate with Akagi Mainframe and attack enemy targets as designated by our command. Prepare anti-aircraft and anti-missile defences as required. Let us lose no ship today. Tanaka out."

The Japanese invasion of the Philippines began with the launch of 74 anti-ship missiles, with more than half being new, three-stage sea-skimming stealth cruise missiles that were almost invisible to detection. The Filipino fleet consisted of seven destroyers, two cruisers and a light carrier acting as a command ship, as well as land-based aircraft and missiles. The Japanese fleet consisted of a supercarrier, two battleships and twelve destroyers, as well as a four-submarine pack that was encircling the Filipino fleet as the attack commenced.

As soon as the missile launches were detected, the Filipino fleet returned with 53 highly accurate, satellite-guided missiles, all controlled by a hive mind type AI. The two swarms of missile passed each other at different altitudes, zeroing in on their targets...

The sky above the Japanese fleet exploded as the missiles were intercepted with a combination of hard and soft-kill defences. Yamabushi-type CIWS units spat out long streams of bullets, detonating missiles as they closed in on the Japanese ships. Nichiren-type Free Electron Lasers fired powerful invisible beams of energy from hexagon-shaped arrays, rapidly detonating whole clusters of missiles. Electronic countermeasures played havoc with the missile guidance systems, throwing many harmlessly into the sea. However, two missiles still got through and impacted the leading Atago-Class destroyer, the IJN Chikuma. There was only minimal damage.

Sensors and satellite scans showed that the same had occurred over the Filipino fleet, though a cruiser and a destroyer had been damaged, and another destroyer appeared to be listing heavily to one side. The fighters from the Akagi took off to provide combat air patrol, and just in time as a large formation of Filipino bombers approached from the shore, no doubt armed with a massive amount of anti-ship missiles. The fighters moved in to intercept, firing long-range over-the-horizon missiles at the formation. The naval fleets traded missiles once again, the missile trails and explosions blanketing the sky. A second flight of fighters, armed for an anti-ship mission, was prepared for launch.

The second salvo saw the Filipino fleet suffering a second loss, one of the cruisers. The IJN Aoba, another Atago-class destroyer, was also damaged by the missiles, the forward deck blasted apart. After a battle lasting less than five hours, the Filipino fleet disengaged and began retreating out of the Luzon Strait, possibly to regroup. The Japanese submarine pack in the area then made itself apparent and began pursuing the fleet, sinking a third ship and damaging three more. A few more minor attacks by Filipino Air Force planes were repulsed throughout the day.

By the time the day ended, the sea route to the Philppines was wide open, though the Filipino Air Force were still doggedly trying to attack the Japanese fleet. The route was wide open for an invasion, and just in time as the last plane from the Japanese mainland, carrying the last men of the 1st Imperial Guards Division, landed in Taipei Airport in Formosa.

The men would get no rest.

Peace may have reigned for 200 years in Europe, but in East Asia, the next few days would see the bloodiest fighting in recent decades.

Wilhelm met with Count Frederik, his minister of finance in his room. He needed the funds for those mercs and he was the man to get them. Prussia still used marks and hate to exchange them for dollars.
"Tell me the good news." Wilhelm had no time to fool around. Peace was about to be broken.
Frederik had a huge smile on his face. "The exchange rate is good, we have the money. I have sent over half the funds and have said they will get the rest when they arrive. It will still take some time however. They must get men from all their main bases."
"Well send some ships to the east coast. I promised transport for them. Germany shall unite."
Frederik left with a skip in his step. It was obvious everyone in the office was looking forward to a greater Prussian nation.

A large fleet of 400 Landing Craft's, 23 Destroyer's Mao Minh Class), 23 Battleships (Ho Min Class), and 12 Aircraft Carriers (Khan Class) Were sent out to invade Malaysia, then Australia, unifying a greater South Asia. The Admiral, Grand Admiral Lee Kong, was first ordered to attack Malaysia, than Australia. The Ships closed in on Malaysia.

The Ships were firing, one 31 Landing Craft Destroyed, 1 Destroyer Immobilized. The Malaysian Force surrendered, giving them Malaysia, and soon, Singapore.

The ships closed in on Mar's. There was no time to waste. The Admiral ordered Citizens and everyone else to get into there Rooms. They did so. 4 Large Pipes stuck out, making it look like feet for the vessel. A large Relay Satellite was placed ontop of each Leg-like Pipe. Soon, they began to descend onto Mar's. It took 2 Hours to Properly land. When all ships did, the Science-ship dispersed Robots that set up a large shield area, which provided oxygen. The Robots laid dirt everywhere, dug holes for dirt, and than planted Tree's. Everyone got out of there and set up their temporary houses. The Colony was almost complete..

Soon the craft was filled with the word clear
The Squad commander looked at his troops "Men today we take this Island for Mother England!!! Show these natives that you dot mess with us!!" He yelled as the craft beached and the doors opened.
Soon a flood of Troopers ran on the beach catching the patrol of natives off guard. Before they had time to act they where cut down by a hail of gunfire. But more came out of the trees yelling and howling. The 300 Troopers stood fast emptying there clips into the hoard. Within 20 mins the attack was over and the Union Jack was raised over the beach...
