(No one liners please): Southern Italy and Sicily broke off from the rest of Italy as radical military commanders saw the north and central Italy was to different from the ideals of the south. So the South declared independence. Forming the Kingdom of Two Sicilies. Under the reign of King Alex Herondale, the south won its independence in a small civil war which cost the souths military large losses, but the country was ready for the zombie hordes moving south. Naples was fortified much like the old days. Barricades erected, a citadel built in the center of the city. This same defense resembled most of southern Italy. Then, on Sicily, fences were being erected around the cities. Places like Messina and Palermo, the cities ancient walls were repaired and readied. Southern Italy once held 15,000,000 souls. Now it less than half. But the cities held. And a few farms have survived. Fishing fleets wander the Mediteranian to keep the country fed. But so does the few Italian warships that the south could rescue. But now the throne now lays in the hands of Isabella Lightwood, the 17 year old daughter of the late King. Her advisors warn that war in the north will result in only more deaths. And she seems to believe them. But now she seeks to discover what lays beyon the fortress she calls home.

Before the undead began to rise Switerland was already in the process of enacting harsher immigration policies despite the European Union requests to stop this process. When reports began to surface of undead rising Switzerland was one of the first countries to enact vaccine programs, which all failed. As the quarantines began to fail in the US and as food prices began to rise, Switzerland began to stockpile food and outlawed immigration, and deported any who attempted to move in illegally and deported anyone who was not a natural born swiss and had if they had not lived in the country for 8 years prior. When European cities began to get over rune by the hordes the Swiss government put the military on alert. When it looked like chaos in the United States and order was falling apart Switzerland setup manned checkpoints at all entrances to Switzerland, and all airports for non-governmental officials were halted. As the hordes began raging through Europe Swiss military officers began shooting civilians attempting to illegally enter the country. The military was also forced to fire into a crowd that was attempting to march into Switzerland and demand asylum.

The first reported case of the virus was in Chur, the city was immediately occupied by the military and a quarantine was established. Several other cases appeared but were eventually stopped before they spread. The city's quarantine was eventually lifted. When neighboring Liechstan began to have several cases of the virus the Swiss military immediately marched into Liechstan and established a forced quarantine around the city, eventually halting the disease. Several refugees and virus-carriers managed to sneak through the cracks and it came to a point where several swiss cities were being over run, and instead of cities being quarantined, sections of the country were being quarantined. Another issue also began at this time: The stockpiles of food Switzerland were less then half full from the height of the stockpile only within a few years, and many food stockpiles were located within quarantined zones. Ration plans were immediately enacted, but Swiss farms could still not keep up. The military marched into quarantined zones and began hunting roaming zombie hordes within the areas. By the time the stockpiles reached 25 percent, Switzlerand had ordered a military occupation of northern Italy in hopes to gain farmland, eventually expanding to parts of Eastern France. I have Sasebo, that is a fact. I have stated before that all US bases in Japan were seized.

Ideally, I would have all of the US ships currently in Sasebo. However, from the way you are asking, it seems that you want some ships off of there. I left it somewhat tenuous so that you can get what you want as well.

I am willing to allow Okinawa to have USS Ashland (LSD-48), USS Defender (MCM-2) and USS Patriot (MCM-10). If my between-the-lines reading is off and you are just asking for some unknown reason, then all US ships in Sasebo are JMSDF ships.
