Quick question. Would I be able to use The Sickness as a bioweapon for my empire? Seeing as they use bio-stuffs, I think it'd be reasonable.
For those of you who don't feel like reading a bunch of stuff in that link, here's a brief summary:
The Sickness is a disease that quickly kills people in hours to days, or if bitten by an already-infected, seconds to minutes. Afterwards, it zombifies and rapidly mutates corpses to suit it's own needs- in essence, a living/sentient virus. The worst part is the more infected there are, the faster the virus "learns" and adapts, mutating even more.
Eventually, if an outbreak were to get bad enough, they'd be able to use blasters, fly starfighters, and even sometimes disguise themselves in "healthy" person's clothing and such, hiding their mutated parts. Infected bite you, you die within seconds to minutes of being bitten, rapidly mutate and join the Horde. You breathe in the virus, you have a few hours / days to live before death. If you get an infected's bodily fluids, i.e. blood, on you, you're infected as well. To save yourself from a bite, you need to pretty much chop off your own limb as fast as you get bitten. If you breathe it in, you need to take every antiviral known to your species, and hope the over-dosage doesn't kill you.

I don't really see a reason why not.

Sweet. Also, the Sickness / Bioweapon has been known to infect plants and plant matter, mutating them into carnivorous forms to ensure the plague continues spreading and living. It's essentially the perfect bioweapon/virus. Nonetheless, I can't wait to see when I get to test it out.
