Well, the Anime Attributes are technically optional, so you don't have to do that part if you don't want to.

Yeah, but I'll do it anyway. I think it'll be more fun that way. :p

Also, because I can, this character will be an obvious trap.

In other news, I'll have my own character up soon. Possibly sometime tomorrow.

That much? It's the weekend, Ulv. "Too much" is sunrise. Midnight is standard. Only reason to drop out before then is if you have a shift tomorrow, which a couple of my friends do.

So sorry. X1s don't have rings, and I've never had that happen across my 4 consoles (original, 2 360s, 1). Well, for a moment one of the 360s did. But I yanked that SOB out of the wall and saved it (I think).

X1's also don't have that many more advantages over the 360 for me to go ahead and drop $400 on one. Think it would cost me like $100 at least to have all of my games converted too.

Name: Shinnomon Kamui
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Species: Artificial human resulting from a breeding program
Image
He has reddish purple eyes and a long ahoge (which falls back into the rest of his hair). He stands 1.84 metres tall and weighs 84 kg, with essentially no body fat whatsoever.

Think the unholy breed of Gilgamesh from the Fate franchise and Claire Stanfield/Felix Walken/Vino from Baccano!. He is extraordinarily proud, arrogant and haughty, litterally believing himself to be the pinnacle of creation and the entire universe to belong to him by rights: if he arrives in a city, any city, and bells are ringing, he will not only loudly proclaim something along the lines of "You do well to celebrate your King's descent" but actually genuinely think it. He also strongly believes that he is the most powerful being in the world, which has two consequences. Firstly, he considers everyone unworthy of witnessing his full power and holds back against them until either he's cornered or he's extremely irritated; secondly, he tends to always spare his opponents' life if it can be done, unless it's too much of a bother or said opponent has disrespected him, because he thinks that mercy showcases power better than simple killing.
He is also very whimsical and happy-go-lucky in his behavior, prone to just dropping out of the battle that will decide the Earth's sake because he got bored, and notable for being quite Large Ham-esque and never missing the chance to make a long, intricate and boastful speech where a curt and precise sentence would do the job at hand. Despite those apparent faults, or maybe because of them, he is enormously charismatic. While usually so confident in his superiority that disrespect simply slides off him like water, he is liable to snap into extreme anger when someone perceives him- or herself as his superior.
All of this aside, he is usually surprisingly generous and caring towards most people: this is because he considers them his subjects, and views it as his duty as king of the world to ensure his subjects' safety and happiness by default.

Likes: Himself, hippocras, sea food, looking down on people, philosophy, poetry, strategy and mind games. Curiously, he also likes instant noddles.
Dislikes: Being looked down upon, bland food, being interrupted in his speeches, religion (he hates the thought of people worshipping something that isn't him, as well as the very idea of gods).
- Having been litterally designed to be the pinnacle of human potential, he has peak physical abilities and intelligence for a human being - by anime standards (i.e. superhuman in the first place). He is also an extraordinarily good judge of character.
- His ego is so absurdly, gigantically, astronomically oversized that he is all but invulnerable to mental attacks, hypnosis and other mind tricks. This isn't a supernatural ability: his mind simply subconsciously utterly rejects the very thought that anything could have any influence on it. Trying to eat his soul, absorb his mind or anything of the sort will result in Assimilation Backfire.
- He is a very highly skilled fighter, practicing martial arts with diligence and having the mind, body and experience to back it up. His favored hand-to-hand fighting style is based off Filippino martial arts, but he can use mostly anything. He has also received Special Forces-tier military training, making him no stranger to firearms - to say the least.
- He is supremely charismatic even without using his powers (see below); most people instinctively view him as their superior by default and act accordingly. He inspires emotions ranging from worshipful adoration to abject terror, but it's always the gut feeling that he is just above whoever he interacts with. (Of course, PCs may be exempted by virtue of having strong willpower or whatever.)

- He is arrogant. And I don't mean he just passively feels like he's better than others: he is so very arrogant that he defines a new standard of arrogance, viewing the entirety of the universe as beneath him and barely worthy of his rule. This leads him to frequently underestimate others and/or overestimate himself.
- As mentioned under Personality, his arrogance also leads him to usually hold back against any and all opponents and try to spare their lives if possible. He rarely fights at full force, even against openly superhuman beings.
- When he snaps into a rage, he becomes rather predictable, being concerned solely with crushing the offender and making him grovel.
- For all his charm and charisma, he is very socially awkward in a roundabout way: he is so overwhelmingly impressive that he never had anything closer than slack-jawed allies, let alone friends, making him largely incapable of understanding feelings like friendship, camaraderie or love. As a result, he has always been fundamentally alone up to now, having no-one who could stand on equal grounds with him.

Have you read Dune by Frank Herbert? If you haven't, you should. Anyway, his powers are largely similar to the Bene Gesserit's: basically, superhuman control of his bodily functions and over-developed observational skills, which gives him notably the ability to shape his voice so as to manipulate people subconsciously to the point of generating reflex obedience. For instance, if he tells you to "Stop", your muscles will simply lock on the spot and you will stop. This cannot be used to order complex series of actions, since it works purely on the target's reflexes (though manipulating people's emotions is possible to a large extent); however, it cannot be resisted, unless one knows exactly which order is coming.
He can also draw upon the memories and personas of his ancestors since the beginning of the breeding program which designed him, most of whom have received a lifetime of the training he's been through, giving him several masters' skill with practically every weapon and combat style ever designed as well as a trove of knowledge and experiences that would make a supercomputer's database jealous.
Finally, Kamui has a form of limited prescience: by going into a trance, he can see an opponent's actions a few seconds into the future, which enormously boosts his fighting abilities at the expense of clear strategy.

Kamui is the product of a long-term breeding program started in the late fifteenth century by Egyptian Islamic scholars aiming to create the perfect human being, which they envisioned as the last prophet and the eventual savior of Mankind. When the Ottomans invaded Egypt in 1516-1517, they took over the program with the slightly different aim of not only creating the aforementioned ultimate being but incorporating him in their ruling dynasty. The program was continued until the fall of the Empire in 1922, at which point it was picked up by the Soviet army with the objective of designing super-soldiers. In the aftermath of the Cold War, it was taken over by the Chinese government and remained in their hands until Kamui's birth.
Kamui was brought up in a research facility where he was given the best education and training a world superpower's oppressive government could obtain, i.e. very good stuff. He was part of a generation of 110 candidates who were supposed to wittle each other out through eliminatory tests and lethal training in order to decide who the strongest among them was; but as it turned out, the Chinese authorities had sadly underestimated their creations' abilities.
Instead of fighting one another to the death, the last 20 specimens standing decided to forge an alliance and escape the facility: none of them liked the idea of spending their life as research subjects very much - indeed, being the strongest among the most accomplished human beings in history, they all had a rather large idea of their importance, and the very thought of being subjects to ordinary people repulsed them. Therefore, they planned their actions out quite thoroughly and made their escape one night. However, things went awry when they reached the armory: a surprise inspection was taking place - yes, they do actually happen without it being an infiltration attempt by the story's protagonist. The specimens managed to take control of the building, but their escape had been detected, and everything went downhill from there. The attempt changed into an all-out battle within the facility.
The specimens eventually won, despite only six of them remaining; however, by that point the Army had been called by the facility's authorities, and the specimens knew that they had to get the hell out of there. They took the time to transfer the facility's extremely generous funds to private bank accounts all over the world, thus ensuring that they would never need money, then finally escaped after destroying all information about the program and making it impossible to salvage.
However, they had underestimated the ruthlessness of Beijing's officials. The Chinese government decided that since the program had failed, they really didn't want any leaks, and instead of having the facility invaded by soldiers to support the local personel - which they still thought to be active -, they simply sent a missile to finish the job. The facility and a wide area of terrain aroud it were devastated by the explosion; five of the remaining specimes were killed, and Kamui only survived because he happened to be standing over a spot where the floor had a fault which made him fall into the facility's underground vaults as soon as the missile hit.
When he managed to get out of the rubble, Kamui decided that, being the last survivor among the people designed to be the best humans in history, he had been chosen by Providence - as in sheer dumb luck - to be the ultimate being and the King of Mankind; thus, he made his way towards civilization. He eventually reached Japan, which was the nearest foreign country to the facility, and created the false identity of "Shinnomon Kamui" in order to go to school for a while; growing bored of it, he went on a trip around the world for a few years, somehow reinforcing his conviction that he was the ruler of the world by rights, and recently returned to Japan after learning of the existence of the Shadow District in Jikken-Shi - as he does not like the idea of beings potentially surpassing him.

Additional Information: Nothing I can think of at the moment.

Anime Attributes:
Qualities: Dramatic Entrance, Ahoge, Technicolor Eyes
Advantages: Skilled (in combat), Genre Savvy (except as regards his arrogance)
Disadvantages: Arrogant turned Up to Eleven (or fifteen, or twenty), Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny! toned down.

Weird. It works perfectly for me. What should I do?

Can you find another image of Vincent? You better be glad I've already read some Black Butler.

Black Butler? Vincent is in Pandora Hearts :ugeek:
Anyway, I'll try and find something.

EDIT: There, I edited the app. Does this work?

Darn. Both of those are so similar to me, and I read them both at my school around the same time. IT'S NOT MY FAULT!
It works. Thanks.

I know the feeling. The drawing styles are similar, too.

Funny, I happen to use character pics from Pandora Hearts quite a bit. Vincent, Gilbert, Break, Oz, Jack, Oswald, and some others.
Not to mention, I'm probably going to use this guy's appearance at some point, as well, though it's from a different manga by the same person. There are a bunch of different possible characters I could do, mind you. I might end up making two characters with completely different styles.

God, that guy looks exactly like Vincent with black hair. Well, hardly surprising if it's the same mangaka, but still, things are going to be ... confusing between our characters :p

Well, it's either him or Oswald for an immortal Italian alchemist type character. Or alternatively a demon from the Eastern Roman/Byzantine Empire. :p

And then there's a less serious character I may make as well.

Yeah, that was a fair influence in that matter. Though I was also helped by stuff like a book called The Medusa Amulet. As well as a bunch of books I happen to have like The Hermetic and Alchemical Writings of Paracelsus, Alchemy & Alchemists, the Three Books of Occult Philosophy by Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa, and so on. You get the idea.
Anyway...
