Welcome. This is Finland SSR, P2TM's friendly neighbourhood Dragon Ball fan, coming with what might be this forum's first even Dragon Ball thread! Yes. Seriously, P2TM has been running or years, but the world famous anime is not included.
Well, not anymore! This is Dragon Ball: Ultimate Journey, and it follows an alternate storyline of Dragon Ball, where the story is decided by players! Now, let's get right onto that!
Races And Their History
Humans are a determined, resilient breed of people that come from the planet Earth. Thanks to the technological advancements Capsule Corporation has made - mankind has began exploring the depths of space. Along with advancements in martial arts humans have also learned
how to manipulate ki and have reached peeks of power thought to only exist in super hero comics.
Brief History
Over 200 years ago an evil entity known as the Evil King Piccolo spawned several offspring of himself and brought mankind to the brink of extinction. Thanks to the combined efforts of Master Roshi and Master Mutaito the evil king was defeated and trapped in a rice jar only to be thrown into the depths of the sea. Their victory was short lived as Master Mutaito, the one who developed the technique to trap Piccolo died.
Soon after Master Roshi took on a pupil known world wide as Master Li. Li was a young and aspiring man who used the training he obtained from Master Roshi to develop his own martial arts technique. Through Master Roshi Li was able to learn how to manipulate ki and even teach others how to. It didn't take long for the now 'Movie Star Famous' martial artist to open up his own flood of dojos. Soon thousands up on thousands of humans would flock to these dojos and learn the ways of ki manipulation.
It didn't take long for some humans to use these abilities they learned for evil. A group of warriors known as New Order rose up against the government in an attempt to conquer the world. Thanks to Master Li and his star pupil Master Nourish the police were able to thwart the organization and bring the ones behind it to justice. In order to ensure this would never happen again the Police force were required to learn martial arts and ki manipulation in order to combat crime.
Thanks to Capsule Corporation it didn't take the humans too long to begin exploring space. During their search for extraterrestrial life the humans came across Planet Namek, home to a peaceful race of slug people - the Namekians. The two races soon became very close friends, some Nameks even migrating to Earth to learn more about their new brothers and sisters. Thus the Galactic Alliance was formed.
Though the universe is full of peaceful races like the Nameks there are also other alien races with evil intent. As the humans and their newly acquired brethren explored the far reaches of space they came across a planet under Frieza's rule. Though the warriors who served Frieza were powerful the combined might of the humans and nameks proved to be too much for them. The planet was liberated - followed by many others under Frieza's rule.
Racials:
Ki Expertise: Humans are much better at controlling and mastering chi than other races. They can create better moves, stronger ki blasts and other stuff.
Energy Sensing: Humans are the only race that can sense energy without a scouter and determine the opponent's power level.
Transformations:
Humans have no transformations.
No one knows where the Saiyans originate from. As far back as history can tell the first of their kind arrived on Planet Plant almost 300 years ago.
Brief History
The Saiyans are a naturally aggressive warrior race who, since ancient times, have lived a violent and inhumane lifestyle, where they attack numerous planets to build up wealth and goods.
Naturally their violent nature lead them to constant conflict with the planets inhabitants - the Tuffles.
Unfortunately for the Tuffles the Saiyans were able to obliterate them when a full moon that occurred every eight years on Planet Plant shined brightly in the sky - transforming the Saiyans into their Oozaru forms.
After their victory the Saiyans explored other planets an soon met with alien races. Many of which who had money and technology and hired the Saiyans to conquer planets for them in exchange for technology. Over the years the Saiyans learned how to use the Tuffles advanced technology and became less barbaric, though their love for fighting didn't dim in the least.
After being annexed by the Frieza Empire the Saiyans were employed just like the other races under Frieza's control and ordered to conquer planets for the Empire's personal gain.
Finding the Saiyans potential a possible threat, Frieza began to contemplate destroying them. He started by eliminating the stronger warriors first under the radar. These murdered Saiyans were reported to have failed in their missions. This worked well until Dodoria and some of Frieza's Elites were ordered to eliminate a group of warriors that were growing increasingly strong and even conquering the most difficult of planets.
Luring Bardock and his crew to Planet Meat through a false mission, Dodoria and his soldiers ambushed the Saiyans only to be defeated by them. Beaten and battered, Bardock and his comrades returned to Planet Vegeta to report Frieza's betrayal. It was then when King Vegeta declared the Saiyans liberation from Frieza's rule resulting in an all out war.
The Saiyans were able to free themselves but were disappointed to find that Frieza was no where to be found. His attention was brought else where.
Though victorious, it didn't come without a price as the Saiyan population were wiped out by a third. Training and expanding their galactic kingdom the Saiyans eagerly await for Frieza to return so that they may finally make him pay for what he had done.
Racials:
Zenkai: Saiyans have an interesting ability in their genome that allows them to keep up to other races in power easily. Every time a Saiyan is beaten to near death and recovers, his power rises.
Saiyan Tail: The Saiyans all possess a tail. It is not just for aesthetic purposes, either. It allows a Saiyan to gather Blutz Waves, emitted by a full moon, and transform into a giant ape. However, it also serves as their weakness - grabbing a Saiyan by his tail severely weakens him.
Warrior Spirit: Saiyans have higher power potential than most races, and can tap into that potential more easily. As such, Saiyans gain more power and physical strength from training than most other races.
Transformations:
Super Saiyan: A legend in Saiyan folklore, it is a mythical transformation that only the strongest Saiyans can achieve. It is said that there hasn't been a Super Saiyan for 1,000 years, and those who achieve it have golden spiky hair and their power increases fifty-fold.
Namekians are a peaceful race of people that are known as the creators of the Dragon Balls. Once wiped out and on the brink of extinction a single Namek repopulated the entire planet.
Brief History
Planet Namek was once a lush beautiful meadow covered by Ajisa. In Age 261, a climate shift ravaged the planet and wiped out all the Namekians save for Guru and the son of Katas.
Being as it that Namekians reproduce asexual, Guru was able to repopulate the planet and give birth to 109 Namekians. Guru's children began rebuilding the planet and the lush vegetation that was destroyed by the storm.
A few years later after a lot of the rebuilding had been completed a strange ship appeared on their planet. Calling themselves Earthlings these alien creatures offered the Namekians aid in restoring their planet.
Thanks to the joint efforts of the Namekians and the Humans, Planet Namek started to thrive once more, bringing the Namekian population to the mid-three hundreds. Swearing loyalty to their new brothers and sisters of the Human race, many Namekians migrated to Earth in order to learn more about their newly found brethren, thus forming the Galactic Alliance.
Namekian, Human and the Hybrid race were now comrades in arms and now explore the galaxy in a joint effort to liberate planets from the cruel grip of the Frieza Empire.
Racials:
Regeneration: Namekians are an extremely resilient race and capable of healing themselves and regenerating body parts instantly, as long as their brains are intact. This does not make them completely invulnerable, though, as it takes a large amount of reserve energy to perform and it is possible for a Namekian to die with his body more or less intact after a battle.
Body Flexibility And Stretching: A Namekian's body and limbs are also extremely flexible. They can elongate their arms and legs at will.
Namekian Fusion: Namekians have an assimilation technique where they are able to permanently join themselves with other members of their race. When this is done one of the Namekians serve as the base and gains the skills, power, memories and many of the personality traits of the other. It is unknown what happens to the soul of the fused Namekian, but it is hinted that the other soul simply remain with the body until it perishes, or that, at least, the personality and memories are, to some extent, present within the host being.
Transformations:
Growth: One of the many known traits of a Namekian is their ability to stretch their limbs to extraordinary lengths. Many Namekians have developed this trait of theirs even further - to the point of which they can even increase their size to titan proportions.
Androids are humanoid beings that were once creatures of biological origin, but mechanical modifications have made them smarter, stronger, faster, and more fearsome than they were before they were modified and became something more.
Brief History
Androids come in many shapes in sizes. They're simply modified beings. There are Saiyans that became Androids, Humans, Icers. Possibilites are endless.
On rare occasions, Androids possess a block that prevents them from accessing memories from their previous life. This technological break through has allowed underground factions to kidnap powerful warriors and transform them into tools of war.
The down side to this feature is the fact that memory can never be completely erased. A trauma to the head or a relic of the past can shatter the programming block and allow the android to recover their lost memories.
Racials:
Infinite Energy: Androids have an infinite energy supply. That does not meant their power is limitless, though. It's just the energy reserve that is.
Machines: Being mechanical and not living beings, Androids receive no damage from poisons and they cannot be traced by scouters or energy sensing.
Transformations:
Androids have no special transformations.
The true origin behind the Icers are unknown as is the true name of their race. Due to their names resembling that of a cold temperature or of a cold nature many races across the universe have called them Icers. Known as aggressive and cold hearted creatures, they’ve spread tyranny and chaos through the universe.
Brief History
When hearing of the Saiyan's power the Icers later annexed Planet Vegeta and employed the mighty Saiyans, finding them to be useful mercenaries. It wouldn't take long for Frieza to find them to be a possible threat as the Saiyans started to grow alarmingly strong in short periods of time.
Under the radar Frieza began to murder Saiyans who were able to keep up with his elites, which went well until he had Dodoria and some of his soldiers ambush Bardock and his crew. The ambush a failure, Dodoria returned to report his failure to Frieza only to find that he was no where to be found.
In the northern galaxy many of the Planet Trade Organization's planets, namely the ones under Frieza's rule were being liberated by the Galactic Alliance. The enraged Frieza was on his way.
Racials:
Superiorly Evolved: Icers are the only race that has evolved to be able to survive and breathe in space.They also have almost no inner organs, making them able to survive even the deadliest injuries, like having a huge hole in their chest or being cut in half.
Cold Blooded: Icers are highly resistant to cold and ice attacks, allowing them to withstand freezing temperatures.
Transformations:
Second Form: Icers have been known to have transformations that allow themselves to suppress their true power without the added worry of unintentionally destroying entire cities whenever they sneeze. An Icer's second form is one of many they undergo before finally achieving their fearsome final form. This transformation causes the Icer to undergo many physical changes, such as increased height and muscle mass. The horns also appear to be even more bull like.
Hera are a race of people from planet Hera. They have teal colored skin, orange hair and long pointy ears. The Hera are mostly renown for Bojack and his platoon of mercenary soldiers known as "The Galaxy Soldiers" who were sealed away by the Kais many years ago.
Brief History
The Hera race have been known far and wide for producing the most fearsome mercenaries in the universe, one of which being Bojack and his crew. Though not all Hera desire to conquer the universe as Bojack once did. Since Bojack's defeat by the Kais the Hera have become more or less known as a mercenary for hire race, having no true alliance and working for those who offer them the highest price.
Planet Hera once thrived on these mercenary contracts, and their planet was once a beautiful utopia thanks to all the money they were bringing in, but once many of the races sub-factions attempted to cease power over the entire planet it lead to a global-wide war which brought the planet to ruin.
After the war ended the entire planet was littered with battle scars and once thriving cities laid in rubble, and their entire population in the mid-hundreds. In order to survive the remaining Hera have looked to the far reaches of space, picking up contracts and work under the Galactic Alliance, Saiyan Kingdom as well as the Frieza Empire, leaving their dead planet far behind them.
Racials:
Psycho Threads: A Hera can entrap an opponent in threads of ki that work like a spider web. These spider webs sticks to the victim like glue and sap away it's energy, giving it to the Hera that use the threads. Strong opponents can escape.
Transformations:
Full Power: The more elite Hera have learned to tap into power long thought lost during the great war that wiped out most of their race. In this state a Hera's hair spikes up and turns red while their skin takes on a more a brighter green tone.

The Code of Conduct
1. I am God. Which means I am Gogito.
2. If you want to have fun, do it in a way that it doesn't ruin it for everyone else.
3. Do not argue with God. Refer to rule 1.
4. Do not go senselessly and attack others for no reason. If you keep doing that, that's the end for you.
5. No godmodding. No being a god. No bunnying. No meta-gaming. There can only be one god. Refer to rule 1.
6. Half-breeds are not allowed until the Child-Raising DLC. (It's going to be a recurring trend here, isn't it?)
7. Your character can not have any relation to canon characters. Your character is not Goku's brother's long lost room mate's cousin twice removed. Get over it.
8. No characters from other series.
9. All characters must follow the lore of the Dragon Ball universe, as well as our alternate timeline's lore.
10. No Mary-Sue characters, or else you will get a visit from God. Refer to rule 1.
11. Do not post any hentai or inappropriate material.
12. You can have only one canon character. No limit to custom characters.
13. I reserve the right to strip away overpowered powers or equipment from an app.

Applications
FINALLY we're here. Before you go and fill the app though, here's a few things to keep in mind:
1. We're in early Dragon Ball.
2. Planet Vegeta is still intact. Frieza didn't blow it up.
3. Ki Control is common on Earth.
4. If you want to play as a canon character, feel free to do it. However, it must exist during early Dragon Ball (Goku and Frieza are okay, but no Cell or Majin Buu). Also, to play as a canon character, you need to have experience with the series and be a good RPer at the whole. I know who is which.
