"I always thought that was a mere rumor…" Karma said. "There's so much history out there that we don't know about, and we may never retrieve it." He shook his head. "Anyway, let's see how this thing works."

He stepped on the accelerator and the tank lurched forward. "Jesus. I think I need a driving lesson."

"I can't really help with that one." Dos laughed, "As I said, Gunner, never driven before. And about never recovering the history, all we need to do is convince the Queen of the Reef. She lived as a human before the collapse and like most Awoken, we still don't know here total lifespan. Without the Darkness I could've lived till this point and still been young, but alas, death intervened."

"Dammit. Let me see what I can figure out," Karma muttered.

He toggled the gearshift with his left foot, pushed the release button atop a pair of levers used for steering, and pressed the gas pedal. The behemoth lurched forward once more, but Karma definitely had more control this time.

"I think I got the hang of it."

He repeated the same procedure and the tank rumbled onwards until it pulled up beside Arch and Greg's tank on a hill. He hit the breaks to prevent it from sliding backwards.

"This isn't that hard after all. Give 'em hell!"

[Romus Maximus]

"Dammit. Let me see what I can figure out," Karma muttered.

Dos swung the huge cannon around and pointed it right at a trio of legionaries and pulled the firing mechanism. The tank rocked back and as the smoke cleared he grinned. The three Cabal had been reduced to a small crater in the ground. He swung looking for more targets and found another pair and fired again, immediately after Arion had changed the shell. The shot hit again and he gave a whoop of excitement.
"Hell to the yeah! I love being a Gunner. Karma can you take us to left a little more? I'll get a clearer view that way."

The three Cabal had been reduced to a small crater in the ground. He swung looking for more targets and found another pair and fired again, immediately after Arion had changed the shell. The shot hit again and he gave a whoop of excitement.
"Hell to the yeah! I love being a Gunner. Karma can you take us to left a little more? I'll get a clearer view that way."

"Good hit!" Karma yelled, shifting the tank to the left. He was definitely getting the hang of it. "Is this good?"

"This is great thanks Karma." He swung the cannon and fired at a group of legionaries, barely missing, but accidentally nailing a Centurion. Arion sat for a moment before questioning the act.
"Was that on purpose or did you do that completely by accident?"
"Um, on purpose? Yeah, that's it. I did it completely on purpose and it definitely wasn't an accident."
"Suuure it was."
"Then why'd you ask?"
"It was your response that gave it away. Now shoot those Legionnaires."
He moved his aim slightly and hit one the legionaries in the head, killing the other two because they were in the explosions radius.
