The Tyrrheni may give case for war anyway; they're expanding way too fast not to be considered a major threat.

Also, clarification; Latium was only reserved as the province in which Rome is, and then province just north of it. None of the rest of Italy was reserved as Latium; the map doesn't depict it, but you're welcome to invade.

Also, clarification; Latium was only reserved as the province in which Rome is, and then province just north of it. None of the rest of Italy was reserved as Latium; the map doesn't depict it, but you're welcome to invade.

I was planning on being a relatively regional power, but the possibility of building a detailed-ass army and attempting to stomp everyone is too tempting

Come to think of it I have not spent much time detailing my own in the factbook... Somehow feel that its going to increase in number to about 800,000 - 1million professionals at the end of the levy system, then again i'll have to divide them to defensive and mobile armies, then arrange the provincial ones according to the elite and non-elite...

I'm liking the idea of a war as well but I predict it'll end up in a stalemate and give us something to feud over until something bigger and nasty arises elsewhere

I'm thinking to first establish a skeleton frame, with ranks of officers, their men and the units they command, fairly basic, and then slowly add to it; create higher rankings or positions, introduce new concepts (a professional force was just introduced, for example; over time, it'll become the norm), develop tech and its use, and the traditions, tactics, aesthetics, etc. as well as expand on the units which I plan to form from conquered peoples, similar to the Carthaginian use of Iberians and stuff, or Roman auxiliaries, which'll be a nice way to make the army both diverse and specialised, but not confusing or boringly list-prone.

Huh, reading through the alliance proposal again, it actually looks like it's more a defence and non-aggression kind of treaty might have to fix that at some point in case a war of aggression occurs.

Btw are people ok with me conquering Latium so relatively quickly or should I make it a longer thing where this first war only ended in the annexing of some land?

Yeah, that's the formal part, and we'd probably come to each other's aid in aggression, but it's non-binding, so that if one of us is getting screwed over, the other isn't required to get screwed over as well. Also, we might not want/need the other's help. It's basically your typical alliance.

Latium is tiny, being 2 small/medium provinces, so annexation should be fine.

Well it was stated as campaign objectives when the campaign was launched, preparations all listed out too, so it is considered, unless Busan is not part of IRL Korea
