I finally have time for this RP! Yay
Nation Name: Celestial High Kingdom of Lyanet| Lyanetian
Population: 250,000
National Symbols:
Symbol of the Panther Warriors]Image
Claimed Territory: http://i.imgur.com/pDqFw8E.png I added the other nation in the map. If part of the land I claimed is under his control then just ignore that claim.
Capital City: Netiuhua

Government Structure: Elective Theocratic Monarchy, with an oligarchic council composed of elites and priests (Advisers)
Government Policies: Expansion of the Yaxua people, establish the Sun Empire.
Leader/s:High Celestial Emperor Nuahiul Kn'xim

Primary Culture: Yaxua People(Decedents of the Yakim) Yaxua Language
Accepted/Minority Cultures: Moxua, Vando, Nuztil, etc..
Description of Populace: Warrior culture is strong, warriors rather die than see a defeat. People are highly devout to Uxtizal, and to their Emperor. The sun, like the panther are worshiped. People are highly innovative, creating large cities from stone. People also like taking showers.
National/Dominant Religion: Uxtizal
Minority Religion/s: No other religion is recognized.

Military Organization: Order of the Panther Warriors. Army of the Sun.
Army Size:
Panther warriors- 4,356
Sun Army- 12,260
Fleet Size:
2 Nuya's/ Warships
12 Uyha's/ River/lake ships
Economic Policy: Free trade, there is no government intervention in the nation's economic affairs.
Economic Situation: It's good, I suppose.
Infrastructure: Cities and major towns are made from stone and are surrounded by walls. Roads connect them.
Primary Import/s: Technology, metals, etc...
Primary Export/s: Stones, agricultural products, raw materials.

History: Years prior to the formation of Lyanet, the region stood void of any civilizations, apart from some nomadic tribes that later settled in the region, and became the now extinct Vuxtals. The Vuxtals lived mainly in the area around lake Muhau(Lake Nicaragua), however as the years progressed the emerging civilization collapsed and a new group of people came to settle the region, the Yakim. The Yakim came from the north, escaping persecution from another aggressive tribe that lived near them in the Axiem jungles. Following the collapse of the Vuxtals, no new records were made till around 2CE. In 2CE, three cities came to dominate the region, Uhua, Yaktel, and Nahuzt, these cities however were not Vuxtal nor Yakim, they belonged to an entire different people, the Yaxua people, who were a mix of the Yakim and the Vuxtal. The three Yaxua cities were often warring each other for control of resources and trading lanes, however it was 30 years later when Nahuzt ad Uhua merged to defeat Yaktel. With war ending and the three cities, and their territories united, the Lyanet Kingdom was birthed and controlled from the planned city of Netiuhua. Lyanet gradually expanded to it's present borders, and has integrated various other people into it's empire.
Miscellaneous:
Everyone is expected to know how to fight.
Anyone can become the future Emperor/Empress, to become it, however the right connections would be needed(No one from the lower caste has ever become the monarch)
Men and Women can become Priests/Priestesses
Royalty dresses more modestly, yet more extravagantly
Uxtizal is a religion of peace, however exceptions are made against nations that don't follow the religion.
There are three gods in Uxtizal, Guatztl-The Panther Warrior God, Nuzteple- The Sun God, Huytezel- The Nature God.

Peace within society is the purpose of Uxtizal. It's key components are equality, kindness, and devotion to the gods and the monarch, who are an important part of civilian life. The gods, like the monarch, provide civilians with basic needs, while in return they[The civilians] grant the monarch and the gods, loyalty and their life against the non-believers. Those who do not follow Uxtizal are known as Guahylies or Human Demons. Forced conversations are immoral, Guahylies who do not convert, and are in Yaxua territory are exiled, those who do convert are known as Naharzi or "Redeemed". Any war that Lyanet takes part of is a Huyzil[Religious war against the Guahylies]. Followers of Uxtizal are expected to be good people to each other, however at any point in their lives, when their monarch or their region is in danger they must fight against the Guahylies. Both men and women can become priests/priestesses, and part of the council. A man can take up as many wives as he wants, as can a woman take as many husbands as she wants, though that is less common than seeing a man with more wives. Every marriage should result in the birth of a child(The more kids you have, the closer you are to Huytezel-Nature God).

Perhaps a little more inter-greek diplomacy is in order? Tartessos is probably unhappy about us accidentally starting a settlement in their territory which may start demanding autonomy so....that could be dealt with I suppose. The Siracusian Republic and the Tyrrhēnian League remain close allies but I may start talking to the Confederation of Kanensos tomorrow as well just because Tartessos' anti-Usilism is scaring me.

Ieehhhh, we're kinda at war (or I assume we're about to be) with the Tyrrhenians, and we've disowned Siracuse. :P And the rest of the "colonies" or whatever are kinda distant.

Dont worry, other ways to cross into your land, there will be ;)

So are you walling up the Yangtze as well, denying yourself the fertile waters in some provinces, leaving them all for me? :P

So are you walling up the Yangtze as well, denying yourself the fertile waters in some provinces, leaving them all for me? :P

Huh? Whaddafuq you mean?

in exchange for defence, I'll get my share of the yangtze plains unmolested. Good trade considering all the possible ways to Reunite China under the Lin banner in a couple of decades time
Russia's an idiot. So is the US, and quite a few of the western sphere. Population education and literacy is your issue, not the politics of foreign nations.

Oh, this isn't the IRL Great Wall. While it will hamper my administration past it, it's well worth it, as I'll expand south mostly unmolested, into the jungles and resource rich hills, you can expand into the steppes, and once those run out it'll be very hard to go south.

Believe me, it will not fall into disrepair like the IRL one.

I think it is a good trade, although I don't understand what you are receiving.
