Ok, so this is what happens when I have 4 hours in between classes. I have compiled stats based off available application data. One thing I learned from this exercise is that most players have no idea what GDP per capita means.

A Brief History of My Nation:

The Principality of Helvetia is an ancient nation situated in the frigid north of Evora. The Principality is hundreds of years old, and was formed by the unification of several seperate kingdoms. Helvetia is socially conservative and shuns outside influence in its affairs. As a result, it has been relatively neutral on the world stage. However, the recent exploitation of vast frozen oil and natural gas reserves have turned it into an economic powerhouse. It has fueled a powerful domestic manufacturing industry and tied the country to the economies of several other states. The five noble families of Helvetia (Houses Mibu, Ichihara, Yanagi, Saegusa, and Tsunemori) dominate state policy. The country is content with the notion of Noblesse Oblige, where the great power of the nobility comes with responsibilities to the people and has thus far managed to prevent revolution. It has also been helped by its relative isolation and preference for social conservatism. Today, the popularity of the nobility is high, thanks to the resource boom causing economic prosperity. Most of the population lives on the southern part of the mainland in large urban areas. However, the northern portions of the mainland are home to some of the sturdiest folk Helvetia has to offer. Today, the nation of Helvetia wields its economic and energy clout on the world stage, and is improving its military capability to ward off those who would attempt to steal its riches.

What the Union thinks of you depends on what ethnicity you ask.

Biorchan believe that you are misguided Imperialists, who are good at heart, and as such they are polite to Ghondrans, although they keep their distance.

Valimi think they are greedy and prideful imperialist pigs who should be shot on sight. Naturally, the Ghondran embassy is located faaaaaaar away from the Jordslag-Valim border.

Jordslagi, by FAR the least-Antisocial of the three, love to tease Ghondrans, and many of them have Ghondran friends. It is not unusual to see a Jordslagi and a Ghondran drinking together late at night. They see you as great friends, and terrible enemies.

Great, I just suggest we revisit the GDP figures. I don't want to bog the game down in stats, but some of the GDP's and GDP per capitas do not add up. For example, Alegeharia has a claimed GDP of 74trillion. That's about 4.5x the size of the RL US economy, or larger than the entire GDP of ALL the RL world's countries combined by about 2trillion. Alegeharia's GDP per capita is claimed to be 29,875, which when you multiply that by the 1.25billion population of the country, should mean its GDP whould only be about 37.3trillion (still more than twice the size of the US economy).

In comparison, Helvetia has the GDP of 7.2 trillion (in between RL Japan and China) which when divided by population comes out to 84,500 per capita, or in between Australia and Norway.
