1922- Benito Mussolini takes power, and small parts of the military in Northern Italy refuse to co-operate with the new Government and begin firing on Italian troops. The rebelling troops surrender or escape to Switzerland by January 1923. While the government is still young and re-organizing, the Rome Riots begin, and Italian troops fire into the crowd killing 18 and sparking further riots across the country.

October 1924- The Southern half of Italy has gone into civil war, with government and rebel positions fighting for a few streets in a city. By January of 1925, Rome and much of the north fall into rebellion.

1925-1928- The long conflict still drags on, but with both sides exhausted from war it develops into a standstill. Sicily is a government stronghold.

July of 1928- Benito Mussolini is assassinated after an explosive is detonated in his convoy leaving a government building in Sicily. The Fascist Government falls into dis-array and becomes largely defunct by September, and the military begin surrendering in droves as supplies become harder to get. Victor Emmanuel III escapes Sicily in October and declares a Provisional Government and promises democratic elections. The Italian Army is reformed by rebels and Italian military figures alike.

February 1929- What remains of the Fascist Government in Sicily surrender to the Provisional Government in exchange for immunity from all crimes 1920 to 1929.

1929-1933- A mass rebuilding project begins and major cities are nearly in pre-war conditions. However the countryside still needs a vast amount of resources to rebuild. The government estimates only half of the farms and small villages from pre-war are operational. A census has also not been taken since 1920. While most of the world was focused in WW1, Francisco I. Madero was able to eliminate most of the Counter Revolutionary Forces and capture Mexico City. After the lost of the Capital, Porfirio Díaz and the last of his forces fled to Central America where they were welcomed with open arms. The newly established Mexican Government demanded that he and his army be returned, but when the Central American governments didn't comply, the government prepared for war once again. In June of 1917, the Mexican Army invaded and by mid August of 1918, was able to capture Porfirio Díaz and overthrew most governments in Central America. Over the next 5 years, Mexico annexed the nations of Central America and began to repair the nations. However, relations were still sour with the US due to their support for Porfirio Díaz and his military forces.
