Relief washed over Marcus but he resisted the urge to hug Giovenith. There wasn't any point in scaring the heck out of her. He hopped in place like a prize fighter warming up, a brilliant smile on his face.

"It was 2014 when I last went to bed," he said at last. "I woke up under a car. Aegis here came along and pulled me out. Actually, I'm glad he's here. He's Luxan and they understand this dimensional weirdness."

"Bielfeld? Bielefeld?" Both words came out the same when Minerva pronounced them. She laid her chin on her knees once more. "Mr. Bones, I have the oddest feeling that something is amiss. It's not my pantheon that caused it. I woke up this morning and things were off. Curiouser and curiouser. It's time to go visit a few gods but they won't be pleased to see me."

Minerva's delicate eyebrow arched and the corners of her mouth curled into a mischievous smile. "Want to come along? The only ones we are extraordinarily polite to are Elohim... my lot does contract work for him... and Para Brahman."

She uncurled her long legs and rose, tugging her jerkin into place. "Cthulhu isn't behind this one so we can weed that group out. Want to start with Hell?"

Torii leaned in. "And what about Rylli? The kids? They're not here, are they? My sister isn't here."

Imagining where they were at this point, Rylli would still be planning her defection from the Branriechian Air Force, Rachelle would either be living happily with her original family or facing the horrors of Drone captivity, and Tolya wouldn't even be a thought yet. Natiya was probably close to showing up at this point, but only after Dab nuked the building.

Well, Bran didn't remember the nuking, the event having never really happened after some meddling by Swith and a few others.

"So you're all alone?", Torii asked. "I thought that Rylli was here right now. I had just moved in today. Wait, I did stay in my room for a few weeks..."

She remembered, and when she finally came out, Tsu jumped in an took her away...

"Mr. Nikanor.", Torii said. "I mean, Bran....do you think that maybe Tsu or Lidev are here? Swith is here. Mon is here. I mean, it's just us current ones who are back in time. Bran, maybe we could take this time to see them again. I want to go home, I really do, but I also can't resist using my time to see what's up here. I have to see them."

Through all this, Rmwtyliin observed. Listening wasn't much of an option - she could barely understand these people when only one was speaking, and slowly at that - but paying attention to body language, some aspects of which bordered on (multi)universal, was. It was almost a dance, in a way, one set to a discordant melody.

The boy had appeared pleased to see the girls, although the armor made it tough to tell. (She ignored the little voice which said that it couldn't just be armor, armor would show an expression!) One of the girls had rushed towards the boy, expression indicating joy. He had appeared to enjoy it, although to be a little embarrassed. As he'd looked towards the others, specifically a woman who didn't appear to be substantially different, his expression - and tone, for that matter - had rapidly changed; grin shrinking, tone indicating concern.

Conclusion, arrived at half-consciously: Boy was likely a friend of girl. ( Appearance did not indicate relation.) Woman was perhaps dangerous.

A guy walked in, appearing nervous, hesitant and ill; perhaps tortured? The Fvaarniimarn barely stopped herself from visibly flinching. A girl stood up and acted in a similar manner towards the boy as had the one who was either Gee-oh-veh-nith or Toh-ree, which elicited a similar reaction; for the same reasons, Rmwtyliin guessed the two to also be friends. Then, that girl too looked at the woman, expression indicating confusion; said possibly did not understand danger or situation, but there were too many possibilities to guess. A young man, looking upset, stated "Torii," which got the attention of one of the girls introduced earlier, who had hugged; presumably, said was Torii. The same guy looked to be in some pain, and then - Torii? - appeared to be attempting to reassure... Giovenith, who looked skeptical; maybe Torii was trying to convince Giovenith of something? A moment later, Torii walked to someone. "Bran" was mentioned often; was that perhaps his name? That or "remember?" No - he said 'remember' also, so it probably wasn't - Wait. Remember - remembrer? That seemed possible, likely even.

So they were discussing memory. Bran had clutched his head, appearing to have a headache; had a head injury caused amnesia? Giovenith's body language reflected fear, and she'd used that word 'know.' Was she afraid to know? Scared because she didn't? Possibly another amnesia victim?

The boy who'd escorted her appeared shocked at whatever Giovenith had said, and then talked passionately for a little while, and after this listed off what could be guessed to be names as some of those already figured out were amongst them. Some seemed to elicit some recognition, whe others did not; the boy then appeared frustrated, and then a little lost. Maybe he was trying to explain about her amnesia? Multiple people spontaneously incurring head injuries seemed less than likely. Had the apparently-dangerous woman - who looked quite upset - hit their heads to cause all of this? Goosebumps formed on her skin.

Torii spoke again. Heer? Sister? Rmwtyliin realized that the girl probably didn't mean Venmii, but half-wanted to rush over to her anyway. Only the fact that she appeared to be conversing already stopped her.

Meanwhile, Giovenith was glancing around, looking somewhat less skeptical. She then - asked a question? Her voice seemed more tentative.

For a few moments, the boy seemed lost in thought. Then, he spoke - a bit of apparent humor here, a pause there. Giovenith seemed to listen, expression growing less skeptical as he went on. Eventually, his shoulders slumped, he sighed, and his tone started fluctuating - passionate and assured one moment, worried and upset the next. Giovenith then smiled at him, and stated something somewhat more confidently. Perhaps he'd convinced her? He looked extremely happy... Actually, about as much so as he'd been upon meeting the others. A friend, perhaps who hadn't remembered him? She frowned. It would be horrible to meet Ijj and have him not know who she was. (Not to mention very awkward. The two were on middle-name terms, which in Fvaarniimarn society indicated a high level of intimacy. Taking a moment to imagine that scenario, Rmwtyliin missed Bran's comment to Torii.) Torii's reply seemed impassioned, and Rmwtyliin decided that she'd observed enough; she walked over.

"Yoh." She pointed to Torii. "Svjisdtehr." She lightly touched the top of her ear, then her heart. "Ne." She used a finger to scribble in the air, as though drawing or writing, then took part of her rough linen skirt, covered her hand with it, and used said hand to rub circles in the same spots of the air. "Hreer?" She gestured around herself. "Me." She pointed to herself. "Ssflisjtehr. Ne. Hreer." She repeated the actions associated with those words, before making eye contact with Torii.

"I don't know. I'm starting to think that we woke up in our old bodies too, I woke up wearing a gas mask, and I stopped doing that years ago. I may be wrong though, I haven't changed all that much in 2 years." Bran shrugged as he thought about visiting old friends. "Well, we don't seem to be going anywhere, maybe we can try and find our old friends, sound good?"

"Yea, sounds good to me!"Torii said. She had a hint of optimism in her voice that she didn't have a moment ago, as she leaned in excitedly towards Bran. "And we can trust Mr. Eldritch and the Luxan to get some progress while we do."

Torii took the time to hear what the other woman was saying. However, by the time she was done, Torii simply looked wide-eyed and nervous. "Uh, I'm sorry, but what, ma'am? I don't understand....I'm not a native English speaker, I don't think I know what language you're speaking...if you understand me..."

Watching as the girl approached and started speaking in an unintelligible tongue to Bran, he sighed and listened. It definitely sounded nordic to him at least, having lived quite close to Scandinavia back in his Baltic Home Country of the Branriech. "Uh . . ." He stuttered, trying to recall at least a few phrases he'd picked up from the Scandinavian people he'd met. Of course, Rmmwtyliin was from Fvaarniimar, a nation he was completely unfamiliar with.

"Well, Torii? You got anything?"

The other girl apparently didn't understand. Rmwtyliin took a deep breath, and murmured a few diction exercises. Presently she tried again, looking up to make eye contact; this time it would be maintained throughout, in the hope that her own body language would help the girl understand.

"Yoh-oo." She pointed to Torii. "Si-isst-ehrr." She touched her ear, then her heart. "Ne." She drew in the air, then wiped the spot with her hand covered with her skirt. "Hheeerr." She gestured around the room. "Mee." She pointed to herself. "Si-isst-ehrr. Ne. Hheeerr." She repeated the gestures associated with each word.

Torii, assuming that she noticed such things, would hear frustration in the girl's tone, as well as seeing that she looked, and hearing that she sounded, sadder when saying "siisstehr" and "Me siisstehr ne hheeer". Additionally, she'd notice that the girl was quite petite, appearing nine or ten; had dark blue eyes, long dark brown hair, caramel skin with a hint of peach, and rounded features; and wore a sleeveless, knee-length, loose-fitting shift of rough linen, intricately though sparingly embroidered with indigo, violet, blue, brown, and green designs.

Rmwtyliin smiled, though, as the smile was an attempt to indicate that Torii was correct as opposed to an indication of her mood, it did not reach her eyes.

"Yiss." A tear started to form; she blinked it away, and pointed to herself. "Me Rmwtyliin." Unlike everything else they'd heard her say, the name rolled effortlessly off of her tongue. Being on a first-name basis with this group didn't seem as though it would be bad, and remaining on a full-name basis would just not work well at all. "Yoh-oo Tohrr-ee, yoh-oo Brrah-ehn?" She indicated each in turn, walking closer to Bran as she indicated him to decrease ambiguity; this resulted in her foot hitting something hard, which she assumed to be furniture. Ignoring the slight pain - she'd been wearing slippers of linen canvas, and they'd done little to protect her feet - the girl maintained her neutral expression. While some of these people seemed nice, the situation seemed dangerous, with no Corps members or even other Fvaarniimarns around. She couldn't risk appearing weak.

Bran, who'd been silent up to this point, nodded when he was referenced by name as the girl tried to identify who each one of them were by name. "Yes." He nodded, patting himself on the chest, thinking to use her limited vocabulary in English in referring to people. "Me, Bran." He smiled warmly, shrugging and looking to Torii at the same time, lacking the same skill the girl did at communicating at the moment.

"You?"

Rmmwtyliin smiled, though, as the smile was an attempt to indicate that Torii was correct as opposed to an indication of her mood, it did not reach her eyes.

"Yiss." A tear started to form; she blinked it away, and pointed to herself. "Me Rmmwtyliin." Unlike everything else they'd heard her say, the name rolled effortlessly off of her tongue.

Jorgen noticed, just barely, his leg being hit by... Something. He looked over, and saw a woman, attempting to speak something similar to English. Obviously, she was having difficulty, and even though she wasn't doing horribly... he could barely understand a word she was saying. He also knew for a fact he'd never be able to pronounce the name she gave for herself, so he sighed gently, tapping her on the shoulder and attempting to speak to her both in American Sign Language and Russian at the same time, speaking the words as well as signing them. "Sorry about being in your way there."

Torii gave the girl a friendly smile and nodded. "Yep. I'm Torii. Why are you walking around such a strange place by yourself?"

She gave Bran a quick look and shrugged.
