The Carlisle wrote:Kale struggled with helping Bran build the thing. Not only because of her physical strength, but also the pressure by the mob outside. It was weighing too much on the girl. Her friends getting hurt, people getting hurt. She just couldn't... take it... anymore.
Her eyes started glowing bright green. She looked To Paul and nodded. Paul nodded back and continued her work, as if getting a message directly from her.
Kale stepped through the hole in the lobby and lifted her hands up. A deep rumble could be felt, shaking the entire area. Then, giant vines burst out of the ground, through the asphalt and concrete covered ground. The vines formed a 50 meter high barrier surrounding the front of he building, effectively cutting off the mob and the group entirely.
Kale's eyes stopped glowing and she dropped to her knees, panting heavily.
"That... should... be good... for a while," she said in between pants.

Primordial Luxa wrote:Aegis humming suddenly ceased and everybody standing in the circle he had drawn suddenly felt as though they were having a heart attack. A great pain welled up in their chests and twisted at their very being forcing pain throughout their bodies. This was followed by a great sound easily reaching a few thousand decibels that began echoing around the room before each figure in the circle was pulled through all eight corners of the room. This of course meant that each person was split on a cosmic level in order to be pulled through all of the angles by some great otherness.
Travel through the angles was dark and void, there was nothing unless the people opened their eyes and tried to look. If they did what they would see was the great seething things that dwell between realties and that reach into our space only to unknowingly destroy it. It was like a writhing pool of maws and eyes that gazed blinding into space and gnashed senselessly as they devoured themselves.
This only lasted a few seconds however and when sense and ideas of time returned to the travelers they found themselves standing in a forest that on one side looked tropical and on the temperate. The group were in a clearing that seemed to have been cleared by a fire of some kind that occurred a few weeks ago with a large black rock standing in the center. “Shit!” Aegis exclaimed.

I wear teal, blue & pink for Swith
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

A bright, blue sky? She craned her neck and, upon catching a glimpse, wished that she hadn't. They were at a strange angle to the world, with what little ground there was far below, much further than it was from the top of any tree which she'd climbed.
Humans have an incredible capacity to adapt, as Rmwtyliin has already shown. After several insanities... Well, one doesn't stop trying to make sense of something, whether it's occurred four times or four thousand. But after several instances, one has to accept either that it is possible, or that they are insane. Quite possibly... One can start embracing parts of it, if they can accept it to be possible.
Birds flew that high.
Insane, strange, incredible or not... Taking a nosedive or not... Being tossed out of her seat or not... Rmwtyliin was flying. Was it terrifying? Of course. But sometimes one has to laugh at the madness, letting out hysteria and expressing joy in equal measure.
And that's just what the young princess did. Her laugh wasn't bell-like, or that musical, but neither was it ugly as an ass' bray. It was tentative, not quite soft but not terribly loud, rather high due to the fact that she was after all still freaking out.
She laughed, and fervently thanked the spirits for this moment, while also begging for them not to let her die. (It should be noted that, while the spirits in question did in fact have some power over probability, their ability to hear such a prayer was restricted to two nearly-identical universes. In theory, however, someone in the same universe as she and bordering on omniscient, or for that matter merely at that moment utilizing on Rmwtyliin a paranormal ability permitting them to perceive another's thoughts, could hear; if one such could hear, perhaps they could do something. Perhaps not.)

The BranRiech wrote:"We're goin' in!" Bran shouted over the din of panicked apartment-goers concerned about being thrown from a dying universe as everything collapsed around them. The engines were failing to start after being tossed through nothingness for a few seconds, and the air wasn't doing a damn good job of starting the engines as they should have. "Must be a problem with the engines themselves, damn things should be starting with the airflow over them, and I can't glide this thing into a canyon river! Someone's going to have to climb out to the engines and fix them manually . . ."

Normally never one to snap at others, this occasion where Giovenith had clearly meant business. It was true, with their position right now, the bus would be a metal pancake before someone even made it outside.

She's scared. Kage's eyes flew open as he felt the old spirit speak, his head which had been hanging in his head now had effectively risen up to look over his shoulders and find himself looking at the girl whom had been nursing his head wound just minutes before. She was utterly frightened, and so was he, but the ancient soul within him kicked Kage's mind roughly and forced him to react to the current situation at hand.
First of all, somehow the girl had ended up in a seat next to him, and as he noted something. They were in air, now beginning to fall, and everyone was showing that exact same look of surprise, well, so far as he could see. Moving across the way into the open area of the seat next to the girl, he smiled and spoke softly," Hey now. We're fine, we'll survive this, besides, we've made it this far on ad-hoc science, not much can get out of hand in this case."
The boy's head was no longer throbbing, but now his attention was squarely on the younger individual next to him. He looked out the window as well, trying to get his bearings, though now the bus was at a full tilt downward as the crew of this roughshod flying time-traversing machine was busy working on restarting its engines.

They obviously weren’t in Belfield he could tell that much by the strange division of the trees. The Tropical spread far on one side like some sort of awesome infection while the temperate on the other was composed of leafless back husks and small shrubs. He opened up some of the more esoteric features of both his mask and his mind attempting to scour the surroundings to learn more about the universe. What he found he didn’t like.
“This is not good. Not good at all” Aegis proclaim without any emotions of warmth. As if to accentuate his point a US F-8 Crusader came roaring across the tropical side before a massive explosion followed in its wakes sending a huge cloud of oranges flames across the horizon like a geyser. One the temperate side however the sound of intense gun fire began as well as a seemingly wordless shouting and screaming.
“We’ve entered universe 2941-8572-7629-4287, better known as War World.”
