"Wires?" Swith wasn't too sure about the tech. She was certain NVE was sure about the tech, but his methods were confusing. "Er, let me get Fortu and we'll see if we can pinpoint things."

She stepped off the bus and made her way through a few people, pausing only long enough in front of Aegis to say, "Naomi thinks you're absolutely sexy," before heading down to the bomb shelter. Much like the origin of the comment, Swith couldn't explain how she knew the PA system was in the bomb shelter. It was just one of those things that made little sense to her as she moved through the moment. Who or what Naomi was was about as clear as Aegis' own face... both details were masked.

He yanked off the beard and left the walker behind as they walked off.

"Not any in particular, no. At least, not who's behind it all. I do know that everything's essentially been thrown backwards in time... but not quite. Some things aren't as they were back then, namely the addition of others who came later... So... you be good cop, I'll be bad cop?"
Me summed up in one sentence.

"However if your asking what their doing" he gestured to the assembled people, raptors and mythical creatures "its getting themselves killed in a fools errand. If your interested in what i'm doing don't. Its hardly something I could explain or you could understand. Mere words cannot describe it but it is a exit from this time and space, and an entrance to another."

Aegis turned toward the rest of the group. "Now I can send any of your through who want to leave and don't want the raptor killing you but you have to speak up now."

"Wait, sho the dinerser, wi- hang on." Kage slapped his forehead a few times, trying to shake the last few cobwebs loose, an action which resulted in a torrent of rather harsh words form the ancient spirit within him before finally eh began to speak again," so the... wait, raptor- as in a velociraptor?"

The man's head turned slowly to look at the dinosaur, and scrutinizing its form through the suit, he settled on believing the clockwork man in the robes," who are you might I ask, and since I might not understand what you're doing, then explain how it would help take us back? Though I might not understand the means, the result should make enough apparent to me. Are we still even near the apartment in Bielefield?"

"Atta girls." NVE complemented both Torii and Swith as he yanked the battery out of the bus. He fished around the spare part crates for an extra cold fusion reactor. Finding an outdated prototype, he muttered, "Good enough." and stuffed it in, welding it in place with the LaserSpanner.

"I think we have an Omni-Sensor somewhere in storage. Detects anything and everything, just got to know what to look for." Fortu said to Swith from atop the box of parts where he rested.

Mon shook her head. "Man, it feels like I got termites in my head." She said. She had been out of it for more than was good for her. What was it about this place, anyway? Things were always coming and going like a busy day at the bar. She smiled weakly as she watched everything from the sideline. "Guess I better get used to this." She laughed a bit to herself.

Grumbling obscenities that was surely ancient Klingon, the burly warrior had passed by others he did not so much as recognize as much as he saw easy targets. Prey to slice and hack off for the sake of it, trophies to put on display... yet something irked him... these looked too easy to kill, too soft, too innocent. Surely there was a better meaning to all of this, or perhaps there was a goal yet to be realized? Was he just not in a chase for the most glorious hunt? No! It was a battle. No it was most definitely a hunt! Though now standing in the midst and looking at these people he hardly recognized, he yanked out his mek'leth and all but bumped into a few while he moved. This wasn't homeworld, this was elsewhere, there would be a port he could arrange transport to the nearest Starbase and then from there he could possibly find out his new mission.

Problem was Mezran couldn't figure out what mission he was on.

Dammit, Jim, it's a hunt! Not a battle!

"Who said that!?" The Klingon whirled around suddenly. "Would one of you mind telling me where this miserable place is!? I need coordinates, starcharts, a frinxing ship!"

"What do you think we are trying to do, blockhead!? This is the past and a place we aren't supposed to be anymore. We must get Back To The Future!" NVE shouted at the Klingon. The historically inaccurate but highly intelligent dinosaur (who may have been mistaken for Gorn wearing ancient human clothing) pulled some exotic yet dated looking technology from a crate full of parts and fastened it to the school bus he had previously crashed into the lobby. "Damn total reality failures." he grumbled under his breath as he worked with his two human helpers.

Growling the Klingon walked up, gripping his weapon at the side so hard he'd probably break it into two were his anger not so finely tuned upon the lizard. He jabbed a finger at the dinosaur. "You will explain yourself... now!" He barked.

Still dragging Kale behind him for the sheer factor that having her stuck to him was kind of annoying, Bran took another few steps over to Torii as she got to work on the bus. "Here." He nodded, dropping the sturdy gun at her feet, before turning back to the box of airplane parts. "Sorry, but Kale, can you please get off of me? We're trying to find a way home, alright? Why don't you help me lift some of these plane parts to get the bus going up to speed to get back? Neil said it had to go 88 miles an hour to travel time or something, so let's make sure it does that."

Reginald hearing the bus crash into the lobby walked towards it. When he saw it he said," Well you actually did it old chap. You stole a public transport vehicle and not only that but caused property damage to the building. Frankly i am impressed that you got the bus here with out attracting the local law enforcement officers. So what are you doing anyway"? He asked as he started to sharpen his hunting knife.

Aegis continued his work moving to another corner of the room daubing it with sigil and symbols occasionally glancing at others in the room. He was in the middle of drawing a series of shapes numbering less than one and more than thirty which seemed to take on newer and newer meaning the longer a person looked at them. They were primordial languages that resonated with every living thing imaginable, they were the collective unconscious in written form totally understandable and yet unknowable. It was obvious they lead back to the apartment, or more accurately the DEiMOS, to anyone who looked at them.

“No one is this room will say you can trust me.” Aegis said flatly to Venyx a fact he expected the other to reaffirm. He didn’t care whether people though he was trustworthy it didn’t matter to him or his work so long as people did as he wanted. He really didn’t care if any of these people used NVE’s contraption but he refused to waste his life in such a way and preferred to be in control rather than some insane reptile who hated his species. He didn’t bite at the raptors jab instead continuing his work.

He shrugged at Toriis confidence apathetic to her decision. The last thing he wanted to do was to start up a whole conversation about the merit of science versas what they people called “magic”. They had little time before the Hounds noticed them and began their feast. Magic as a word was a simplistic and foolish description of what he was doing but it was accurate enough so long as people didn’t believe that it had any relation to science, earthly mathematics, or human technology. It was so much more.

He turned and regarded Kage as he finished up another corner. “You may refer to me as Aegis. I cant explain what I am doing without a few decades of teaching you various esoteric secrets relation to the All in One, the Gate and Key, the Iridescent Spheres, quantum metaphysics based on trans medieval learnings….” Aegis trailed off here as began listing various things, concepts and theories that mean nothing to the uninitiated. “Sufficient to say I am rewriting the angles in this room to deposited us in another area. Think M. C. Escher’s works made real if that means anything to you. Anyway the entire thing functions based off bottled sentience so it will require draining a portion of your…soul for lack of a better term however such things grow back.”

The sudden and loud crashing sound from the place where it had awoken was certainly a surprise to the machine humanoid. Just prior, it had been inspecting the structural qualities of the building, sizing it up for where it could establish some sort of operations location. Now, it was approaching upon the lobby, upon entrance finding a number of... curious characters about the space. But of course, the center of its focus was upon the rather large metal object which had lodged itself into the frontal face of the building.

Like strange corpse flies, people were surrounding the machine, as D4 supposed it to be, attaching peculiar and seemingly ineffectual devices to it. Vocalizations shot about the room, their dialogue interpreted and understood, but the logic that necessitated these grotesque organisms to perform these actions made little sense to it.

Gathering from pre-collected data on this particular language - data that D4 itself was uncertain as to when it was and why it was acquired - it spoke out to the creatures, in an attempt to comprehend what end they were attempting to reach, what possible achievement could come of this mess.

"What is happening?" D4 said with feigned curiosity, simulating confusion and subtle annoyance.

"Ah, lovely, and that's where I'm going to have to turn you down. Not because I don't want to go, but because I'm physically incapable of doing so. I, well, how do I put it... I lost the entirety of my soul at childbirth, and a split was made to make it so I could become a host for another soul of types. The contract made to keep me alive now requires me to avoid selling, destroying, or tampering with that inner soul which leaves me to worry that I'd be in danger of doing so if I took your solution out. I'm afraid I'll have to go with the dinosaur's own devices out of a need to not violate the spirit within me. Best of luck though to you, or whatever forces for good fortune you might exist." turning round in his seat, making sure he remained seated for the girl now tending to his wounds, he called out to the dinosaur. Well, actually that was hardly the proper words for what he did do, rather he made a pitiful excuse for a cough and waved his hand in the direction of the large prehistoric reptile," sir? You with the spacesuit.... umm, and the claws?"

Venyx gave a snort of laughter out of sheer disbelief. This was all a bit over his head - he was a soldier and a miner, a simple man with simple pleasures who didn't often entertain thoughts of magic, science or the like. Sure, he was proudly religious, but the Gods were a given, something Ven never stopped to question. And whether this - the sigils, the bending of the confines of the room's very existence - fell into the category of magic or science was, too, beyond him, but he was still mostly confident that Aegis the Clockwork Man was the better choice in routes back to...well, wherever it was they intended to go. Back to reality, he guessed. He shook his head.

"Right, iridescent medieval metaphysics and quantum All in One keys..." The Ophanite muttered, watching as the room took shape. As he spoke, Ven noticed the wandering drone. It was the first thing that seemed remotely normal to him - mining drones existed in all of Opha's colonies, though none were as advanced as this - and it, against anything its machine mind suggested it could emotionally produce, seemed just as lost as he was. He wished he could give it answers, but he was still more than a little foggy on the whole situation. All he knew was, he damn well better be able to grow his soul back after this...

"Well Aegis, you have my vote, though perhaps against my better judgement. I'm called Venyx, Venyx of Sectryl, and I do ask that you take good care of me because I have a husband at home who would be poly unhappy to get me back in more than one piece."

As for your name so I don't have to call you 'Mr. Dinosaur or something', might I know what it is? My own name is Kage." Kage had seen plenty were at work on the bus, and with the massive stinking ape-like man being directed outside to deal with the crowd forming on the opposite side of the lobby walls, he figured there truly was nothing for him to do other than try and understand what had happened and why he felt as though he'd been up drinking all night and then proceeded to slam his head into a wall a few times for good measure.

"That probably won't be necessary," came a gentle voice from behind them. He hadn't been there a moment before (not even Bones had detected His arrival, which was proper considering who He was). He looked at both of them and shook his head. This pair was out of place in the gleaming lobby. Likewise, so was the speaker. He was built like a dockworker from the Middle East - powerful in torso and arms and with the scars to prove his hands-on trade. He wore study denim jeans and a white tee-shirt that was mostly covered by a heavy flannel shirt. His steel toed Carhartt work boots bore wear and tear typical of a man in his trade.

He wasn't unfamiliar with the Building's residents or Bielefeld although he had never spoken to these two personally. "Lucifer is oft misunderstood. It's common to visualize him as a horrid demon, the shattered and twisted remnants of a cast off Minister of Music. Nothing could be further from the truth. God kept Lucifer on retainer. He comes and goes in Heaven as he pleases, much to Job's peril so long ago. He and his fellow servants have better things to do than lead men astray; men do that well enough on their own. Free will - it's a bitch. Lucifer hasn't any reason to lie to you, unless it's Elohim's will."

He thrust his hands in his pockets and began to walk towards a set of large mahogany doors. "Perspective is everything. Different strokes for different folks, and likewise what you see here might not be the same in another dimension. People have often asked me about the unique properties of each - flames and leering faces in one Hell, rings in another, nothing but inky blackness in a third. Reality isn't meant to be conceived in its entirety. Oh we could go on all day about the 'what ifs' in life. What is important. What isn't important. What came first. What came last. What will happen in the end. None of it matters except What. Hwæt. Referring to things in abstraction. That's the ticket."

His strong hand folded around one of the door's handles. "What. You need to decide. What will you find beyond here? It might be home. It might be Lucifer's office. What. God's will."

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

Kale let go of Bran and nodded. She got up from the floor and crossed her arm. Her eyes flashed green and out of her hair appeared a green growth. The growth grew out, then slumped over and landed on the floor, continuing to grow. It then took shape, forming a rough humanoid shape. After shaping, the humanoid plant detached from Kale's hair.

Kale looked to her new creation and gave it a big hug. "You're so awesome! I think I'll name you Paul!" she exclaimed. Paul returned to hug with an awkward embrace.

Kale let go of Paul and looked to the plane parts. "Okay Paul. I need you to help Mr. Nikanor and I with carrying these plane parts. You think you can do that? No, I know you can do it!" she exclaimed, giving Paul a pep-talk. Paul gave her a perplexed look, but nodded nonetheless. He went over and started lifting several plane part from where they were and then walked over to where Bran stood. Kale went over and picked up one of the smaller parts, though It looked like she was having a hard time carrying it! Kale gave Bran an embarrassed grin, her face a slight shade of red.

"Thanks, Kale . . . And . . . Paul." Bran shrugged as he looked at the plant-creature spawned by one of Kale's seeds.

"Alright, so one of the wings is gonna' go on the top of the bus like big sail, okay? No, wait, the tail of the plane goes there, the wings go on sides with engines as well, that'll give it speed and lift." He ordered, pointing vaguely where he wanted the things moved to so he could work. "There should be a box of instruments too, we'll want that near the door so that we can put some of the flight gauges in there as well, I mean, how do we fly without that, right?"

Reginald looked confused as he said," First of all who is van pelt and secondly who is the blockhead you are speaking off everyone seems pretty smart here unless i dont see them".

NVE pointed at Reginald with his LaserSpanner. "You look like a Van Pelt. All British and Victorian." NVE answered Reginald and then pointed to the Klingon switching the laser pointer function on. NVE then waved the laser in a square shape around Mezran's head. "And that is Blockhead." he concluded then pointed to the advancing angry mob slowly walking towards the building with torches and pitchforks from a block away. "And those are the peasants who want the bus back." NVE indicated as he then got back to work, forgetting 2 years had made NVE quite obnoxious and egotistical. He then ran some cables along the frame to power the new engines.

"I believe in both magic and science..." Giovenith murmured to herself, in a confused state. Either way would possibly lead to the forgotten time, but which to choose? She looked around, and took in her new friends. "Torii, where are you going? I'll go where you go."

"I'm going with science, of course!", Torii said enthusiastically. "I am his intern in the future. I always kinda liked science."

She looked out the hole at the crowd and frowned. "And now I'm going to go grab a weapon. My bags are still in the lobby. Hey, Bran?", She asked, handing over the quantum drill without much asking. "Here, you can use this. I'll take the TF gun, but first, I'll be right back."

She ran off for all but a minute, only to return, carrying a bag and a semiautomatic rifle over her shoulder. "Okay, not that I wanna shoot anyone, but angry mobs and protestors are always annoying pests. If it comes down to it, we'll have to swat some flies, no? Right, Mr. Eldritch? Right, Swith? It's been a while since I did this."

A wing poured water on Tsu who woke up and punched it sending it into a wall. She got up,dusted herself off and looked around from what she could see, more chaos but she wasn't fazed by this. This is Biefield after all, crazier things have happened. "Man..just like the old times...". She silently chuckled and laughed a little . For death, this place sure was good at mimicking how things in Biefield work.
Predictably unpredictable and fabulous at the same time!

Edelweiss and Reina, the two previous ones are still alive. None of Tsuyoi Tekikoku's leaders are killed in their duels of succession.

I don't use NS stats.

I'd prefer the pronouns she/her,if your referring to me
