Excuse me as I was writing up my app I was wondering if I could make it so my character could know a bit of how to survive in the corruption for like 1 year his family lived and then stuff went to hell if not I will change my story.

For the kingdom, think you could add a bit more details to the sigil? and I think that's a bit too many people, simply because Kingdoms would have less people then modern nations or states.

The other kingdom has 250,000 people. For the sake of keeping it at least slightly even, somewhere in the 100 thousands would probably be good. Like 700,000 or something.

Ok, right sorry about earlier. I meant i was wondering if my person would be able to identify plants that grow in the corruption. Also how to prepare these plants to a certain extent, so that they would be edible. Also if my household/kingdom had spent a year in the corruption as there was nowhere else to go, and they were eventually run over by a giant horde of the creatures of the corruption.

Oh, also a little point I was just wondering. Can a mage stand in the corruption? It seems as though you only made it so that mages would be affected if they were controlled by their emotions.

I don't imagine the plants in the Corruption being anything but toxic to normal people, but perhaps they could be right on the edge of the Corruption (With good defenses, because Taint wouldn't be all that happy about it), and send out foraging parties for plants outside the corruption.

Bio: His family ruled a small farming village in northern Cerakoth. For the first nine years of his life, he was trained to be the next in line to rule. Then the corruption reached the village. It was a night of panic as people ran from their houses, chased by monsters and the corruption’s spread. The house mage fell to the corruption and killed two guards before they brought him down. Ademar’s mother found him on the top floor of the house looking out the window, watching the corruption. He wasn’t scared or angry, just… curious. Most of the family escaped by horse that night, but they lost their land, and almost everyone else in the village died. The family still held a sizeable amount of wealth, and Ademar’s parents bestowed it mostly upon him, first teaching him, then sending him off with it into the world. Many years have passed since the night the village was consumed, but he is still intrigued by the corruption. In his travels, he met Merek. They talked of lost titles and the corruption, and have traveled together ever since. Now he has decided that he finally wants to take action, and has decided to seek out the Church of Light.

Equipment: Mini-crossbow of his own design. Small scientific equipment (flasks, tools, etc). Books of information, and also books filled with his notes. Standard travel equipment (food, water, knife, etc). A small cat stuffed toy from his childhood, which was the only possession of his that he saved from being destroyed when his village was consumed by the corruption. Quite a bit of money, held in a manner like this so that it won't be stolen.

A) Find my way to a port city, book passage to somewhere in Astianna, and from there journey on to the cathedral on the waterfall.

Merek was born into a household of the order. As the Lord’s first and only son he grew up learning the ways of a warrior and a leader. As he grew older he began to learn the lore of his household from his parents and his tutor. He also learned about the spreading of the corruption and how it affects the land around it. As time passed he grew into a young man fourteen years of age. However one day in the middle of his fourteenth year the corruption reached his families lands. As the corruption spread towards his home his father tried anything in his power to find a way to survive. Until one day when he was out with his tutor and they discovered on the edge of the corruption a plant which seemed to be halfway between corrupted and uncorrupted. They quickly bagged it and brought it back home. As what would soon be final year of Merek’s time with his family went by in a flash. As the corruption closed around the exterior of the light walls of his home and beasts of the corruption began their transformations on the outside. Even though all the peasants were evacuated safely the Lord of Blackwater and the guards who wished to stay remained. That is until the attack of the Corruption spawn. Merek remembers it well for it was the last time he saw his mother, father, and sisters alive ever again. The day the attack began it was sunny and everything seemed well. Then the watchman spotted off in the distance a large group of corruption spawn that seemed to be headed towards the stockade. As the day went by everyone prepared for battle. Only Merek was not with them. As soon as his father heard he put Merek inside the great hall and told him to wait for his signal to come outside. As Merek waited he heard the clashes of distant battle and the screams and cries of the wounded men which would end as soon as they hit the ground. Merek could not bear it so he walked outside, and he saw something no son should ever see. He saw his father surrounded by a group of Spawn, and he cried out. His father turned around and the Spawn struck. His father began to fall and Merek in a fit of rage ran forward unsheathing the only weapon of light his family had, a dagger. However as he charged forward the Spawn retreated or flanked around him and ran into the Great Hall. Merek turned around and briefly glimpsed his mother trying to fight off a spawn with a halberd that she could barely lift. Scream fell upon death ears as he held his father’s head in his hands as his father breathed his last breath. As soon as his father died Merek looked around and realized that the Spawn had moved off around to attack other women and children within the castle. He took his chance and fled, and to this day is haunted by his past actions. Over the years after he fled he trained to become a better fighter for the day when he could take his vengeance. Through this time he met Ademar and they over the years became the best of friends. Merek assists Ademar with his scientific experiments and has now considered himself as an intellectual adventurer. He is very dangerous with a trident, his dagger which he can throw. He is also proficient with ranged weaponry and plans to one day travel to the heart of the corruption, and end it by killing the lord of the corruption himself.

Religion: While his parents were religious, their religion was The Order. However they supported him in his choosing of whatever religion he wanted to be. Is Atheist

Equipment: Light throwing knife, basic adventurer gear(coil of rope, backpack, books on fauna, his journal, cooking gear) Cloth armor, his family savings which he has entrusted in a multidimensional banking system created by magic. Also magical binoculars which can zoom in like range finders.
