I do suspect that we'll discover other dropouts as the IC progresses, though.
Speaking of which, I need to get a post up, but I've been completely nuts for time to IC for most of my NS RPs, so please bear with me if it takes me a day or two longer.

Alright, seeing how we have a plethora of cultures from Norse to Arabic/Turkish in just the Human population of this realm the culture of Pandyssia (5) will be classical medieval. French/German Catholic culture

Perhaps also some Roman influences and so, especially in the capital.

House Segardi seems more of taking over the Empire under their rule. I want a House that want to declare independence from the Empire

Didn't finish my app but NDH accepted the idea. Here it is so you guys can get a look. The Charmed Yales and Henry Calvely are still in the Empire of Augrilac. But with the tension in Pandyssium brewing, Alaric and Chester Calvely have returned to look for a new "employer" for the Charmed Yales.

Description of House: (History/Customs etc.)

A house with a ominous reputation. The Calvely's run a fearsome mercenary company called the Charmed Yales. They have roamed the lands in search of swordwork for anybody that can pay. The legacy of this company runs deep in Pandyssium. Founded by Sir Jordan Calvely, who rode with Titus Rahtis himself. The Calvely family has been commanding the Charmed Yales ever since. While they are mercenaries, the Charmed Yales under the Calvely's are reputed to have never broken a contract in 256 years. Be careful, for their services are no longer your to command once the gold runs dry. The Charmed Yales and House Calvely has always had an honorable reputation which has grown the house's riches over the years through high demand for their swordwork and plundering. Peace in Pandyssium has been bad for business since the Rahtis conquest so the Calvely's have often taken the Charmed Yales overseas to do mercenary work with the Empire of Augrilac, settling whatever troubles may arise over there, giving them plenty of veterans whenever new employment is acquired. While they are usually abroad, the Calvelys and Charmed Yales usually return when the Emperor or Empress requests to fight their wars. They played a particularly significant role in the War of the Bleeding Heart, fighting in the vanguard of many battles.

House Calvely itself is a family that produces warriors. Both with popular and infamous reputations. Knightly tournaments frequently feature a Calvely distinguishing himself well.

The Charmed Yales

Being accepted into the Charmed Yales is regarded as an honor to any knight or man-at-arms. However, this mercenary band started out as highwaymen and keeping with their roots, have no qualms bringing on criminals to supplement their ranks. Their numbers were far greater in older times but currently number around 1500 Men, Orcs, Elves. Their latest leader, Henry Calvely, is quite an unscrupulous man and has been greatly supplementing their numbers with Goblins of around 700 in number. In days of old, the Charmed Yales were best in the front lines of any set piece battle. They can also be employed to raid and skirmish having plenty of light cavalry and horse archers.

What is House's view on the Empire?: There has been a strong relationship with the Empire as Rahtis Emperors and Empresses have always paid well and the Calvelys have always distinguished themselves in their wars. Many Calvelys have been decorated by Rahtis Emperors and Empresses. While the Rahtis cannot deny the Calvelys long history of service to the Crown, they also know that the family's true sovereign is gold.

Description of Head of House (name, age, and sex): Sir Henry Calvely "Dark Heart", 30, Male

A solid battle tactician and soldier, Henry Calvely is another exceptional leader of the Charmed Yales. Although he is an unscrupulous and violent man, not above committing war atrocities. In fighting wars overseas, his reputation for plundering villages has spread to Pandyssium giving him something of a blackened but still dependable reputation. It said that Henry Calvely only speaks when absolutely necessary but when he does so, has a voice that chills even the hardest men to the bone. Even when fighting, the man does not grunt or shout.

Description of Relevant House Members: (name, age and sex)

Sir Alaric Calvely, 27, Male, Brother - Alaric may be a knight, but has not followed the traditional Calvely martial pursuits. He is a comely man, secretly a homosexual and what he lacks in physicality makes up for in cleverness and aptitude for mathematics. What redeeming qualities he has is overshadowed by his love of plunder.

Sir Chester Calvely "Knight of the Flowers", 24, Male, Brother - The Golden Boy of the Calvely Family. Sir Chester is an excellent knight and champion of a few tournaments. He regularly competes relishing in awe of the crowds. A very comely man that has the ladies swooning. Also known to be a very skilled troubadour. Do not be fooled by this mask however, for Chester can be quite ruthless when he feels it necessary.

Catherine Calvely, 22, Female, Sister - An attractive girl, yet no so attractive as to dazzle men or have songs written about her. Catherine is kind hearted, strong and unafraid to speak her mind.

Barric Calvely, 18, Male, Brother - TBD

Eleanor Calvely, 19, Female, Cousin/Ward - Similar to Catherine in looks. Eleanor is very shy and quiet.

Father Auncelle, 42, Male, Chief Adviser - A lieutenant in the Charmed Yales. Father Auncelle, while being an ordained Priest, does not hold true to many of the virtues of Priesthood. He is a good man at heart but has no qualms taking to drink and whores.

I'd be willing to take a plot and make a Great House if nobody else can be had. Sure people will drop out. I was thinking a nation similar to Covland in KoV. Recently wracked with a 10 year long civil war that is coming to a close. They'll be weak from the fighting and vulnerable.

Well …

Your urbanization ratio for start is a huge problem. You put your population at approximately one million but with 950,000 in just six cities giving a 95 % urbanization rate. That is impossible for a pre-industrial society. Heck it may even be impossible for a number of industrial ones as well. A conventional medieval urbanization rate shouldn't exceed 10 %. If a very mercantile trade-based city-state like place it may get as high as 20 % but then we are beginning to touch upon the ceiling for a pre-industrial society. Also on a related note the smallest of your six cities would have been one of the largest in Europe during medieval times. In fact going by the year 1200 the smallest of your cities would have been as populous as the biggest in Europe despite the fact that your Realm has a total population like that of a large French province.

Also I have to echo Gjulich there is an awful lot of strongest, exceptional, massive, immensely, etc. in your application.

A little heavy on the LOTR references, if I may say so. The trilogy has some great names, but . . well . .yeah.
