Aurora is still in Canterlot being her insane mad-scientist self. And working on very safe, marketable versions of her technology. Essentially, it will allow you to go back in time and relive a memory, but that's it. You won't be able to change anything, just relive it.

However after a while he started to become apathetic. He still had not gotten his cutie mark, which he was ashamed of. Perhaps even more importantly he began to realize that he had no motivation to become an officer of Royal Guard other than to satisfy his parents, whom he had become increasingly distant to. He truly wanted to be a scholar of the world. He wanted to become a traveling historian and learn about different cultures first-hand. Upon this sudden realization one night, he finally got his cutie mark. Soon thereafter came the shocking news that both his parents had died in a tragic train derailment. Desert Arrow subsequently inherited the entirety of their fortune. Rather than continue to waste his time doing something he had no passion for, Desert Arrow dropped out of the academy and decided to travel the world in search of his true passion. Though not out of monetary necessity, he often used the martial skills he had learned to "help" those who inquired his services.
Personality: Generally quiet and reserved, but not at all afraid to assert himself. Self-assured. Somewhat judgmental and cynical, but an expert at hiding his feelings from others. Not the friendliest or most outgoing. Has an odd sense of humor that most don't understand. Is admittedly a tad insensitive to other's feelings. Can be kind and generous, but not if it involves going out of his way. Very curious, and loves to learn about history and culture. Notably competitive.

Actually, i've got it planned out. It's going to paint him as an old soldier who's mind has been wrecked by war crimes, and deserted his army to try and find redemption and another path, and struggling to do so. And it will be painted very, very well.
