Ah, thpoo.

NS Name: Alleniana
World Name: Busserrach (in our language at least)
Number of Nations: Uncountable, due to some "barbarian"-civilised borders where it's impossible to tell what constitutes a state or not. The number of usefully large countries would be about 20, though.
World Population: 1 billion
Location of Gate: Kochreiter
World Climate: Similar to the real world, except that the hottest regions are not so hottest, and the coldest regions not so cold. Also a bit smaller.
Dominant Species: Humans
Other Species: Nothing you wouldn't find in medieval Europe and its periphery IRL
World History:
With the collapse of the Imperium and the gates came the collapse of society. Though old habits and technology persisted for a time, they soon became rare and rarer, running out, being destroyed, lost, worn out. Social ways and what could be termed civilisation itself turned to ashes; the buildings were collapsed or looted or burnt, populations fleeing or being exterminated, famines sweeping like a feather duster across a row of books. The lore, history and development of so long was swept away, as even diseases, bandits and natural disasters took their toll in a way that had never been felt before. The people fell into a state of misery and poverty as has been seen few times in the history of the world; building their little hovels and shacks, tilling the soil day in and day out, cutting down trees and foraging for rocks and berries, in the vain hope that by keeping quiet, nobody would notice them.

Eventually, though, as things do, the situation improved. Villages formed in the earliest days became large and strong enough to proclaim their existence and engage in trade. The old concepts of war and military were taken into the present; people were paid to train and arm, to defend from those who would attack and loot from the mercantile societies slowly growing. Kingdoms formed from them, protecting the many farmers, exploiting land that had been fallow far too long. Horsemen could ride areas of land without fear, merchants could walk alongside and bring goods about, towns could build walls in peace and look across a calm land from atop them, and nations with cultures and proper languages could form again.

By this time, the old structures had become entirely unrecognisable ruins or items kept in little vaults or only in the form of images created by artists, if in existence at all. The humans here, by the time they wrote and recorded again, had forgotten their history. It was a time of growth, and though wars still were waged, it was stability that reigned; a tired land getting back on its feet.

One thing, though, that some outsiders might have noticed, was magic. Since the earliest days, people possess magic in varying amounts and forms; some could summon fire at a click, others move small objects. Its presence was not noticed greatly; it was just another ability some had, and for a long time, it was a part of daily life, and something somewhat mocked. Magic was the play of children; only the most powerful could hope to gain recognition for their abilities, and even then it was viewed as a weak substitute for hard work. It sat on the backburner.

When the Kingdom of Wassenhulf came under the rule of a particularly strong wizard, however, things began tumbling forwards. The man had the power to cause what seemed like earthquakes within small, small radii; he could summon fireballs that could roast a pig's head or burn a man's face to char, or freeze the same face until it could be broken into shards with a hammer. He could make trees grow in hours what took years, make it rain with only the fewest clouds, and summon lightning from his fingertips to strike dead any boar, wolf, and of course, man. It took energy, indeed, but they were abilities not to be scoffed at; powerful and potent, wielded in the hands of a king. While at first, the courtiers and noblemen laughed at him behind their back, they stopped with the construction of the Academy of Sorcery, occupying some of the most prime estate in the ever-growing delta city of Wassenhulf from which the kingdom was based.

There, scholars and professors, rich fellows with nothing to do and their opportunity-seeking businessmen counterparts, and many people who were even poor, maimed or otherwise considered lesser, entered. Beggars began dreaming of having the skill and drive shown needed to be accepted into a course there, whose numbers and qualities rapidly grew, while many nobles were spurned because their aptitude was not great enough. The institution of learning soon spawned more, though some for medicine, some for smithery, and not only did it bring magic into its right as something useful, but also learning and study.

When the nearby kingdom of Trichdotter, whose name has only recently been recovered to the public memory, declared war citing "cheating ways", "heresy" and "aggressive movements" as the reason, it became clear what the king had achieved. He, now much more experienced after consulting with so many in the academy, led the battle. On a battlehorse of stone, like a statue animated, he led the charge on the fields of Stadpault. The enemy watched amazed as the wizard cavalry crossed a stream that froze over to allow them easy access, and then smashed into archers who had been firing away to little effect; wispy cloths and bluish, glowing plates deflecting nearly everything they had. The archers were routed, and then when the rest of the army crossed the stream as well to join in the fray, even levies could defeat armoured infantry. Trichdotter's forces were totally destroyed, their fear causing the entire force to be swept from the field, and Wassenhulf chasing after to take their lands, which were easily annexed.

This quickly caused a sort of awakening among the rest of the nations on the Kochreiter subcontinent. The subcontinent, formerly Corkrytir under the Imperium which had administered the roughly similar people as one, jumped into action, many kingdoms either persecuting their mages or glorifying them. In some places, the stronger ones took over the government, while in others, a more moderate system as in Wassenhulf was established. In any case, the power of magic had been realised, and as Wassenhulf's successor after the king himself abdicated to work in the Academy declared war on a nearby nation that had expelled their immigrants and lynched their merchants, the unification of Kochreiter began under the auspices of sorcery.

In the south, several large wars caused widespread destruction, as revolutions and uprisings tore the kingdoms of the region apart. On the western peninsula, pirates who had thought to be eradicated appeared again, damaging their capabilities somewhat, while in the north, Wassenhulf's war machine developed and advanced, incorporating kingdom after kingdom. They gained some allies on the mainland, seeing their power expanding so greatly, all the meanwhile using their inherent advantage in education and magic to conquer and properly administer their new lands. Particularly, several visionary kings founded new cities and forts, ordering roads and new innovations to be made widespread, such as primitive drains, crop rotation, scythes and regular patrols. Technological advancement and power bloomed in this once backwater part of the planet, while much of the rest of it came into its own, developing magic too and taking pages from the Wassenhulf book.

Eventually, after many more centuries, a great plague, a volcano causing famine, a huge empire rising and falling on the continent (resulting in Wassenhulf being somewhat more advanced than the mainland mostly homogeneously) and countless wars & rebellions, Wassenhulf found itself under the rule of King Weicher III the Quiet. Gunpowder had been developed, but was being used fairly simplistically; primitive muskets were no better than longbows, often. Wassenhulf, however, was in full possession of wizards of great renown; the greatest in the world, and ruling over a simply vast empire. It had almost unified Kochreiter; its campaigns in the north having ended with a great treaty seeing the nation dominate the area, and then colossal wars as gunpowder was discovered seeing it vassalise a united western peninsula and conquer huge areas of the south. During a time, it had even possessed lands on the mainland, and it was in this era that the world was circumnavigated.

Now, it sat, dominating and puppetting, if not outright making tributaries of all the nations in Kochreiter. And so, Weicher III, in his middle years, slaving away in Wassenhulf (now one of the greatest cities of the world, with forms of plumbing, fire protection, walls that were scarcely needed and more), declared the Unification of Kochreiter; that ancient entity of myth that had once composed the land was being reborn, and indeed, the people of the subcontinent did look similar and spoke similar languages. He declared the existing independent nations to be part of this new Empire of Kochreiter, and he drafted a document that echoed ones that had been slowly adopted and imposed on the kings of Wassenhulf. The Constitution of Kochreiter now came into force, and as the administrative prowess that had for so long emanated from the acadmies came into use, other things happened too; provinces were drawn up, roads standardised, the annexed lands developed, even the military's organisational and recruitment structure reformed. He became known as Emperor Weicher I the Unifier, and his dynasty, named Weicher after the new role and title he had created the house in, continued.

His grandson, the 2nd son of a 2nd son, is on the throne now. Recently, there have been stirrings, but generally, prosperity is the order of the day; the old times of war and disorganisation are over, and this united empire, seated at a city that has no equal, grows richer and more advanced by the day. Its ships ply the world, its wizards a matter of wonder, and yet many plucked from the streets. But a little bird has fluttered with news - news that the great gate of Wassenhulf, a structure around which a garden has stood, and in turn around the garden an ancient castle, last refurbished centuries ago, has awoken. History is about to be written.

Nation Name: Kochreiter
Capital City: Wassenhulf
Government Type: Semi-feudal, semi-constitutional, semi-autocratic monarchy
Head of State: King Habstall II Weicher
Claimed Territory: All of Kochreiter (the geographical area)
State/National Religion: Strange, scattered paganisms
Dominant Religion: ditto
Minority Religion(s): Atheism (mainly an intellectual sort of "we know nothing"), and very vague magic/gunpowder worship, both of which are quickly declining due to academy influence
Population: 45 million
Military Organization:
Army Size: 250,000 guard/reserve/sentries/local forces, 50,000 deployable, well-trained professional offensive soldiers
Army Units:

Fleet Size: Couple hundred cogs and carracks; not often used except for pirate patrol, transport and renting out
Naval Units:

General Terrain: Kochreiter is an elongated continent, with a large, pointed peninsula on its west side and fairly indented sea borders everywhere else. Mountains abound where the Western Peninsula joins the main mass, which also partially affects the boundaries between north and south, but apart from them, elevation is fairly flat; even if some does pop up in the north-north-east, and far south. Rivers tend to originate from the central areas, few in the Western Peninsula but many fairly decent sized ones drifted and meandering off the continent near the middle. One outlier ventures all the way up north, only curving off at last because of some of the aforementioned north-north-eastern hills, and forming the delta upon which Wassenhulf is located. Vegetation tends to be impressively unremarkable forests where farms, rocky mountains or farms do not exist. The Western Peninsula is known for being somewhat dry and unevenly grounded, though.
Noteworthy Fauna: N.A. compared to the Earth
Magic or Science?: Magic, used in such a way that it may as well be science
Primary Import(s): Foreign luxuries - basically stuff that people want because they can't get it in their home country
Primary Export(s): Some foodstuffs, knowledge, some manufactured goods; trade isn't very big
Primary Species: Humans
Accepted Species: N.A.

Brief Description of your nation's history: Basically, see above; the history of the continent is irrelevant because of the sea and the mainlanders getting wrecked, along with population numbers and power that they possessed more than Kochreiter :P
Brief Description of your nation's economy: Generally, the economy is self-sufficient, with internal merchants being the medium for transported goods. In the cities, money-based capitalism is burgeoning, especially with a currency introduced and the environment being so conducive to enterprise, but the old feudal system is still very much alive in many ways; there are settlements that are vassals, as well as perhaps the majority of agricultural output being from feudal manors (albeit much improved from the old days). Many metal mines are spread throughout the central (Peninsular) mountains, as well as parts of the north and far far south, where lead & silver comes from. The rest are mostly a mix of copper, tin and iron. Iron is generally more common in the north, though. In the far west are some isolated gold mines, but these are only coming into their own right with the normalisation of the unification of Kochreiter. Agriculture, whether practised under feudal tenancy or proto-enclosure scheme plantations, is generally either crop rotation, using lentils, beans, peas, etc. then wheat or rye, then fallow (though grass is harvested), or mixed-specific cultivation, in which low densities (comparative to a wheat field) of the desired crop (apples, grapes, almonds, raspberries, etc.) are planted among clover and a few other small low-lying plants. Animals are kept in all sorts of conditions, usually not specifically allotted though some ranching does occur in the far-west, and many sheep and goats are kept in the north. Manufacturing is a big industry in the towns, with dyed fabrics, furniture, tools, metalwork, weapons, candles, perfumes and many other products churned out by ever-growing workshops and craftsmen's homes. Generally, the economy does well by itself, with a lot of internal trade facilitating a quiet but well-working and growing nation.
Brief Description of your nation's government: The Constitution of Kochreiter provides some checks and limits to the emperor; it makes provisions for madness, wanton cruelty, limits on absolute power, etc. Generally, however, it leaves most of the ruling to the emperor and his court, ruling from Wassenhulf over a vast, well-constructed bureaucracy. Though crude compared to the Imperium, it is the best system around, and works well enough to keep roads safe, collect taxes, and yet not annoy either those who are feudal or capitalistically urban. An administrative system divides the nation into various provinces, but from there on, regionalism, lords, cities and luck does quite a lot. Summarily, though, the government functions decently, and keeps the nation stable, especially with the extra governance and guidance of the monarch.
Brief Description of your nation's populace: Though many speak dialects, most of the people are part of the cultural group of Kochreiter; all similarly built, with black hair the darkest, up to a dark blonde, and eyes either dull blue or brown. Skin is usually caucasian, and height is medium-high. Though the Westerners do sometimes tend to having bronzing skin, genetically, there is much similarity, except among the small numbers of immigrants from across the sea to the prosperous kingdom. Economically, they are mostly feudal tenants and lords, or urbane inhabitants, working in the might system. They live fairly happily, and usually see no need to contemplate religious matters.

RP Example: Never RPed before. ;)

Basically took magic and tried to normalise it in a medieval setting, for this app. Hope it's not too boring; it's quite detailed, at least, I'd like to think.

Also, made it not-very-OP, since I suspect it may get in the way of unbiasedness.

The people in Kochreiter were generally descended from a single group from long ago, and the people of that group eventually reunited, unifying the island under a feudal government, albeit one slowly coming out of that into a constitutionally-minded one.

There, I really don't know what else to expand on.

I've put in bold things I have problems with.

Reread the rules and expand on history, military units, and basically just give it more.

Brief Description of your nation's History: Britannia was founded in 800 AD by the Saxon elvish tribes who had sailed from their northern icy homes and settled in this island. A warike nomadic people, the Saxons were notorious for their pillaging ways but hailed for the artistry of their crafts during peacetime so in a way they were kind of like Vikings. Once their lands in the North were attacked in a raid by hostile rival tribed, their king murdered and lands desolated to the point where crops could no longer grow, they searched for greener pastures. The native human tribes of the Ancient Britannia, the Juts,a mostly farmer based pacifist tribe residing in the rich southern lands of the island, the Colts, a nomadic people who lived on horseback and hunted for their living much like the Dothraki from GoT, and Angles who were a nation of mages and wizards who lived in the Eastern provinces now known as Kent, Hever, and Vanland and who drew their power from clerics, whom they believed had a direct spiritual connection to the gods. They eventually met and mingled with the elves and other species to create the Fealians. The new group called themselves the Britons which in their language meant "people of the Isles", and when unification was achieved by king Xavier Hatwing, the land was named Britannia, meaning Land of the Britons.

Mentioning Angles, Saxons, Britons, and other RL historical groups as well as the poor history and lack of grammar makes this pretty hard to accept. Combine that with a lack of a world app makes me deduce that you didn't really read the or even the general summary of what this RP is about.

Denied.

Lack of grammar? I didn't misspell anything or misplace puncutation. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the name itself because there's a lot of RP nations named Britannia. And what was wrong with the history? So does that mean I have to make a brand new app if I still have a chance of playing this RP?

I wouldn't have a problem with the name Britannia if it was not for the fact that your App makes mentions to 300 and 800 AD (which are real historical dates that never occurred in this RP) as well as Saxons, Juts, Britons, and other historical cultural groups. If you want to RP in this RP you will need to revise your App drastically as well as expanding on everything as well as adding a world app.

Okay, thanks. I'll just scrap it and do it again. Also I added the dates because I thought I saw 1100 AD in the OP, I'm going back and reading it over now.

Alright, new app. Hope I got it right this time. If I'm accepted I'll have to make my hero app tomorrow because I have to leave now.

NS Name: Nuridia
World Name: Xiuwe
Number of Nations: (Is it ruled by one mighty Empire or split among a hundred states?) Xiuwe has twelve nations in total, but one or two are the dominant superpowers.
World Population: (Be realistic) 5 billion
Location of Gate: (Which nation, if there is more than one) The gate is located in the heart of the Soluna Mountain, in the Loria desert of Vanland.
World Climate: (Is it a hot, cold, warm, or cool world? Is it covered in a desert or ice, or is it all the above?) It is a pretty varied planet. The climate in the extreme north and south is very cold and ice caps have formed, in the interior it is a cool temperate climate and much warmer in the southern portions with flourishing plant life. There are vast expanses of deserts in the east and mountain ranges in the north. The land is divided into four continents, each housing three of the twelve overall nations. The largest one is southernmost with desert and the smallest continent is up north and very cold and icy Overall, it's quite warm for a living environment but it is a planet of extremes.
Dominant Species: Fealians- A sentient humanoid race that has the ability to use magic. Their power is usually elemental in nature and what element they use, and their overall appearance such as hair, eye and skin color comes from the regions they're born into. The majority of them look like normal humans except shorter and slimmer with slightly pointed ears and longer nails. Also their features are finer than humans' are and they have a much wider range of phenotypes.
Other Species: Humans, dragons, elves, merfolk, a huge assortment of different birds, fish and insects, other quadruped mammals and many different plants.
World History: (What went down after the Gate on your homeworld fell apart?) A long while ago, the Fealians had just come into existence after centuries of interspecies breeding and so they were a subclass race to the dominant species at the time, which were the Elves, as such they were treated horribly. There was no one system of government for a very long time and no leaders, without order there was constant strife among the races. Also after the gate had broken down, there came a great shift in climate as if the planet itself had been flipped upside down. The ice caps in the North had started to melt and overheat and the interior had gone through some sort of ice age where everything had frozen and there was hardly any food. Each sentient species blamed the other for this, and so war broke out. Everybody had begun to choose sides, the battles were bloody and violent and many lost their lives. The planet was in turmoil for years until one day, the gate had miraculously begun to work again. The climate began to turn back, slowly but surely and all of the sentient species saw the great damage they had done yet it was not enough to get them to stop fighting. They remained at war until the last Great Dragon, Styx invaded the land and started destroying everything in his path. Realizing that they would get nowhere in their current state, they all decided to call a truce and fight this great evil together. With magic from the Elves and Fealians, along with the humans' science they eventually defeated Styx and the silver dragon's body was divided up and made into the Twelve Talms, powerful magic artifacts gifted to each of the most powerful generals that would eventually become the first leaders of the twelve nations. Technology and science began to develop, people learned how to grow crops and create machines and things, the elves and Fealians of course took to developing their magic but were still part of this tech revolution. Although things had begun to get better, there was still the problem of borders, territories and leaders. Each species chose the land they felt would suit them best and drew up borders, creating their own governments and leaders which would later become the twelve nations. All leaders meet once every five years at the Xiuwe Summit, a meeting held inside the Crystal Spire jutting up from the top of Mount Handrian. They meet to discuss issures of territory, lands and other things and this way the peace has been kept ever since. For now at least.

Nation Name: Vanland
Capital City: Wergild
Government Type: Absolute Monarchy
Head of State: Queen Lizbeth Monrose
Claimed Territory: England
State/National Religion: None
Dominant Religion: Faith of the Twelve, which worships twelve gods and goddesses that control a different aspect of life. They are based on the idea that the first twelve leaders of Xiuwe were in reality gods sent down to bring peace to the war torn planet.
Minority Religion(s): the Old Faith, which worships nature gods and the spirits of the living and dead. Ancestor worship and reverence is central to this religion.

Accepted Species: All
Brief Description of your nation's History: The Holy Crown-Realms of Vanland were founded in the 2nd Year of Xiuwe according to the Hytian calendar system that the Elvish population invented and that is now used worldwide. When the sentient species of the planet finally came together in peace after the Two Century War, a large northern island was chosen and settled by the human First King Vandyke the Wize and claimed as his new nation. He also founded the capital city of Wergild in his name and of course named Vanland after himself. Wergild was named after his Fealian wife Werda and his son, the future Second King Gildeon. The island was located in the northern central part of the western half of the continent. Vandyke immediately went conquering after settling and after fighting brutally with the native tribes, eventually a peace treaty was signed that gave Vandyke leadership of the land for himself and all his descendents. The fighting was known as the Puzzle War, because the pieces of land that the king gathered eventually fit together like a puzzle. His coronation taking place in the 5th Xiuwe Year, King Vandyke became the undisputed ruler of Vanland. Because of the peace that had been established after the Two Century Wars, everybody expected this peace to last for generations to come but it was not to be. Vandyke became very greedy, seeing nations and decided his wasn't big enough. In the 17th Year of Xiuwe, Vandyke declared war on the eastern nation of Jingke, and with forty thousand men rode into that nation in order to kill their leader, Emperor Buwei and take the vast and wealthy land for himself. At first he was successful, making it to the capital but the emperor was ready and Vandyke's army was brutally defeated. After this, he became a tyrant to his own people. His son Gildeon was appalled and couldn't stand by while his father ruined their country so he gathered his forces and met with high ranking nobles to plan a coup. In what is known as the Second King's Rebellion, Vandyke was violently overthrown, stabbed to death and tossed into the streets for the dogs. Gildeon became Second King, ruling justly and establishing the Faith of the Twelve which so many follow today.
Brief Description of your nation's economy: The Vanland people use a currency called drakme, which comes in the form of gold, silver, copper and bronze coins each having a different value with bronze being worth the least. Their economy is strong and powerful, being kept alive through the extansive trade that they do with other nations. Vanland has a fleet of trade ships that carry raw materials to other nations and brings back finsihed products, spices and other rich objects.
Brief Description of your nation's government: It's an absolute monarchy, but the parliamentary officials are elected by the people and they make up the King's/Queen's cabinet so that the people have a fair voice in the government.
Brief Description of your nation's populace: It's a mixture of Humans, Elves and Fealians. Most middle class people are either merchants, teachers or bankers while the lower classes are farmers and craftsmen. All classes can be warriors and sailors.
