1. Point taken, I was thinking about using him, but wanted to take a more traditional route, besides we already have someone using Robert Downey jr. (albeit the younger one)
2. Remember that one scene where he follows Irene Adler as the poor beggar man and steals a bunch of stuff from the circus, or again as the oriental, or in the book series where he breaks into her house as a butler/horse washer. There are other occasions of course, plus this quote from Sir Arthur Conan Doyles' short story A Scandal In Bohemia: "It was not merely that Holmes changed his costume. His expression, his manner, his very soul seemed to vary with every fresh part that he assumed. The stage lost a fine actor, even as science lost an acute reasoner, when he became a specialist in crime."
3. How about a mere replacement, he isn't exactly lonely really, as he says in the movies, "Why would I want anything with a mind of its own bobbing about between my legs?" :p

My Application!(Now with 2X the flavor!)

Name: Arthur C. Doyle

Character Impersonation: Sherlock Holmes

Novel/Comic/Manga of Origin: Sherlock Holmes (specifically the "canon " books and short stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and the movie series starring Robert Downey jr.) ~ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sherlock_Holmes

Species: Human

Age: 49

Gender: Male

Appearance: Will sadly remain unchanged:
Image
Abilities/Skills:
Chameleon ~ He can easily disguise himself as whomever using whatever, and play the part incredibly convincingly.
Analytic ~He can observe everything that is happening in a situation, up to the finest details, and remember it all for some time. He can process any and all of the information in a heartbeat and can solve logical problems and puzzles correctly and instantaneously.
Bartitsu ~ The Victorian-era, "New" Self-defense is mastered by Doyle, for obvious reasons he has to know some form of combat, I mean come on, It's Math Class!

Weaknesses:
"Alcoholic" ~ He is fond of destroying his mind with everything from embalming fluid to eye medication.
Mere Mortal ~ No magic nor power armor nor demi-god status nor immortality nor god status nor super strength nor super speed nor shield generation of any kind...
Conspiratorial ~ While he would never twist facts to fit a theory, he always has several hundred theories on every subject.
Ye Olde English ~ His mind is perpetually frozen in Victorian England and so he'll talk with such a lexicon. (God help you if you don't know what lexicon means, he uses words like that and worse)

Notable Qualifications: :eyebrow: He's Sherlock Holmes, that is all the qualification he needs.

Notable Achievements: The solving of every crime put before him, the catching of every, but one, criminal put before him and the founding of a legacy.

Course Designation: 1

Subject(s)/Classes Taught: Math (geography if need be)

Personality: He is a generally good person and follows Hobbes' orders to the letter, as he is his employer. He doesn't do it for the money, though, just out of a certain loyalty. That being said, his primary function is to teach his class, which is what he will do at all costs. He often finds that rules work better when perceived as guidelines. He is somewhat arrogant in nature and takes great pleasure in baffling others even if all he is doing is talking to the person. And, lastly, he is the definition of ordered chaos in the way he keeps up appearances and his classroom, which is in shambles yet incredibly clean, he can somehow place his hands on anything in very few seconds. His filing system is known to no one but himself and is seemingly totally random.

Short Bio: Arthur Doyle had a very boring life that I don't feel like getting into because it is so boring and neutral. White-middle class house in a sub-urban neighborhood where he attended a school of 900 other students from which he didn't stand out. In fact his life wasn't anything greater than average until the leak and he woke up speaking Victorian-era English. In the six years that have past he has become the best Consulting Detective the world has ever seen, living a life filled with adventure and intrigue and exotic Goulashes of unidentifiable ingredients!

Well seems cool to me just don't over do the Chameleon and analytical skills to where people will get mad, but other wise accepted.

Charmera wrote:Real Name Alistair Mortis

Character Impersonation: The Lich King (Arthas)

Novel/Comic/Manga of Origin (URL link if possible):

Species: Undead (Lich King)

Age: Alistair : 16
Lich King: ___?

Gender: Male

Appearance: http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/ori ... h+king.jpg
Course Designation: 1

Character Alignment: Alex: Neutral good
Lich King: Neutral Evil

House Designation:
Tritan

Extracurricular Club:
Way of the Sword

Special Abilities: (3 max.)
Necromancy: His necromancy skills are very advanced, the skills he learnt from Mortis and the Lich Kings arsenal of spells makes him a magical terror. Summoning undead and sapping the life from his opponents.
Supernatural Condition
Undead mastery: Undead naturally obey him, intelligent undead can resist this effect using willpower, but mindless undead can't. He can still be killed, he's not as powerful as the full Lich King.

Weaknesses: (must be reasonable & enough)
His Necromancy is somewhat limited unless the Lich King is in control
He has a weakness to Life magic. (Apart from healing)
His Undead mastery has a chance of being resisted if the undead in question is intelligent.

Personality Alistair is in a constant struggle with the Lich Kings memories and personality. Despite this, he tries to remain kind and friendly (Though he is rather Grim and more than a bit pessimistic), though if he feels the Lich Kings influence on him, he may become more and more Grim and becomes bitter and anxious. He is determined to live a normal life despite the Lich King.

When the Lich King reigns his mind, he becomes ruthless, cynical and cruel. He has undisguised and unending contempt for all life. He uses those around him and Alistair to kill and slay as many as possible. The Lich King has a special hatred of Alistair, and takes every opportunity to tormenting, forcing him to attack those he considers friends, either hurting them or pushing him away from human contact.

His plan is to slowly break Alexanders will and then have full control over his body.
Short Bio: Alex has been cursed with the body and memories of the Lich King. He seemed to be normal (At least for a Mortis) child, however he was always cursed with Arthas' memories. Eventually the Lich King formed in his mind, whispering to him, urging him and controlling him.

The full transformation occurred during Alistair's teens. The Lich King has been able to take control of him at times ever since. His father was going to have him killed, however his twin sisters made the case for him to be sent to the academy, where perhaps he could solve this Lich King problem and learn to control him, and become extremely useful to Mortis. Mortis keeps this a secret, yet sends him to house Excalibur and put him on watch. They used some of their leverage to keep his "condition" a secret to most.

Anything else?: A potential extra villain if we need one (and if the Lich King takes over fully) though it will depend on if Alistair will can hold.

Post Terintania!

Also, why are there so many melee weapons here? Not to be presumptuous but firearms are quite a bit better (you could make the case of logistics (for all those less knowledgable in this, guns shoot things while swords just hack, so you technically don't need to fuss over a sword other than sharpening while guns have to be loaded with ammunition), but I really don't think that advantage is worth it). Against any competent enemy that can match a swordsman, the gunman will likely almost always win, the only times he won't is when it's a CQC situation that opens in a <1m gap or so etching and even then, the guy with the firearm can still use hand to hand combat since that's a close enough range to duck under someone's guard.

Guns are superior, why are we even using swords?

Easy if your a badass swordsman you could redirect bullets or cut them in half maybe even create a cool wind current with your sword. There are insane amount of things you could do with a sword but a gun not so much, also there are some CQC for guns so they can still shoot and land a hit when the opponent is in arms reach. So it just comes down to preference.

I think you're overdoing the Lich King's bloodlust, his bloodlust is actually rather low. He has a goal, which yes does involve the death of every living creature, but he is very methodical about it, no random killing sprees, no pointless fights, just strategic moving from objective to objective.

No normal person can do those things. All characters that have those powers are artificially buffed so they can survive going against firearms. Imagine them with guns.

On CQC guns, firearms are ineffective at point blank ranges due to most generally depending on the weapon being pointed at the enemy. The reason why this is a moot point is that you'll never be in an encounter at that range, sight lines generally carry much farther than that and even then, swords become unwieldy at close range to.

It's an AFV from sic-fi fiction based of the terrible, terrible design of WW1 tanks.

James will be using a pseudo power suit (sort of like Vanko in the second movie) since he isn't fully grown physically yet. It'll be really cool and have shields and stuff. He'll be wielding 10mms.

I'm too busy to post right now. You can move on without me, Aelarus. I need to finish making my costume, will take up most of my time for the next 2 days, and then I'm going to a convention from friday to sunday, so, yeah. Busy busy busy. And then I might be busy packing to go home on Monday, and then I'm flying home the day after that.

But it is not pointless. He knew Alistair would be able to resist, he's simply wearing the Mortis down.
The Lich Kings current goal is to break and weaken Alistair's will so he can exercise his own will over his body and slowly build his undead army and kill every living thing. He knows if he puts constant strain on Alistair, he won't be able to hold the Lich King back and he will be able to take over Alistairs body for a time so he can pursue his goals.

But you are right, I should have tried to portray that a little better and perhaps make him seem a little less bloodthirsty, thanks for the help though. :)
