1. Point taken, I was thinking about using him, but wanted to take a more traditional route, besides we already have someone using Robert Downey jr. (albeit the younger one)
2. Remember that one scene where he follows Irene Adler as the poor beggar man and steals a bunch of stuff from the circus, or again as the oriental, or in the book series where he breaks into her house as a butler/horse washer. There are other occasions of course, plus this quote from Sir Arthur Conan Doyles' short story A Scandal In Bohemia: "It was not merely that Holmes changed his costume. His expression, his manner, his very soul seemed to vary with every fresh part that he assumed. The stage lost a fine actor, even as science lost an acute reasoner, when he became a specialist in crime."
3. How about a mere replacement, he isn't exactly lonely really, as he says in the movies, "Why would I want anything with a mind of its own bobbing about between my legs?"![]()
Well seems cool to me just don't over do the Chameleon and analytical skills to where people will get mad, but other wise accepted.

He's Sherlock Holmes, that is all the qualification he needs.
