It should be fine. The Tau are kept sufficiently busy with Tyranids and Orks to be able to commit anything too overwhelming. And the galaxy, even burning as it is, is vast.

While I don't control the RP threads initiated by members, I can tell you that you won't be kicked from the IoM for a lack of knowledge. Interest is the only pre-requisite.
