Sustainability sounds better than having to take a shuttle to the space elevator every time I run out of a material though I want to keep my planet pollution-free...

Don't you have the Finnis species? I don't think they will take to kindly for I think they would not like the Humans on there land for they are not good with civility and have been shown to be aggressive.

We have some time. I am pretty sure we will not be shooting off the bat if anything. Also i am pretty sure before Feudal times people traded... It would be rudimentary.

Actually, nuclear reactors don't work in the discworld... at least not the ones tried so far.
That's why the colony center's aren't self-sufficient.
There may also be other sources of energy not yet discovered...
